Abstract

Teacher quality and productivity are key factors in improving the overall quality of education, including in Thailand. This study aims to analyze the condition of teacher quality and productivity at Saiburi Chaengprachakarn School, Pattani Province, and to identify the factors influencing them. A descriptive qualitative method was employed through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the school consistently develops its teachers through continuous training, seminars, and competency improvement programs such as educational technology mastery and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Teacher quality is reflected in professionalism, pedagogical skills, subject mastery, and classroom management, while productivity is indicated by discipline, consistency in teaching, innovative methods, and participation in professional development. However, challenges remain, particularly in terms of limited technological facilities, administrative workload, and insufficient incentives. The study concludes that improving teacher quality and productivity requires a holistic strategy that includes strengthening competencies, enhancing school management support, and improving teacher welfare. Abstract

The rapid rise of Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) services has transformed consumer behavior, especially among Generation Z as digital natives. This study investigates the influence of financial literacy, risk perception, interest rate perception, social environment, and religiosity on BNPL usage among Generation Z investors in Jakarta. Using a sample of 200 respondents aged 17 and above, data were analyzed with structural equation modeling–partial least squares (SEM-PLS). The results show that financial literacy, risk perception, and education level do not significantly affect BNPL usage, as financially literate and risk-averse students tend to avoid BNPL altogether. In contrast, interest rate perception significantly influences BNPL usage, where respondents view flexible installment terms as acceptable despite higher costs. These findings extend the Theory of Planned Behavior in the context of fintech adoption and provide insights for fintech firms and regulators to design transparent products, strengthen consumer protection, and enhance financial literacy for responsible BNPL usage.
