Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of service quality on customer loyalty at the Post Office (Persero) Lubuk Pakam Branch ". The data used in this study is primary data with the research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The population used is 98 customers of the Lubuk Pakam post office using the Slovin formula, and the number of samples is 5000 people per month. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. The data analysis technique used simple linear regression analysis with the regression equation Y = 8,552 + 748+ e. Partial test results (t) were obtained at 11,158. While the results of the R2 value of 56.5%, so it can be ascertained that the quality of service has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty and the remaining 43.5% is influenced by other factors.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and compare the financial performance of PT. Bank SUMUT before and during Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This study uses the CAMEL method in the selection of financial ratios to be compared. The financial ratios to be compared are the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), the Non Performing Loan (NPL) ratio, the Return on Assets (ROA) ratio, the Operating Cost and Operating Income (BOPO) ratio, and the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR).  Data analysis techniques are independent sample t-test on data with normal distribution and Mann-Whitney on data that are not normally distributed. The results showed that the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL) ratio, Return On Assets (ROA), ratio of Operating Costs and Operating Income (BOPO) and, Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) ratio there were significant differences between before and during the Indonesian Covid-19 pandemic at PT. Bank SUMUT.

Abstract

This study aims to determine operational excellence for innovative and purposeful business for students of independent projects at PT Paragon Technology and Innovation. The type of research used is descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. The data used in the form of primary data and secondary data. The final project of joining this Independent Project is implemented into an innovative and purposeful business to create amore natural rich cream, a baby skincare business with natural ingredients and innovating by replacing parabens with leuconostoc fermented as a first bio representative first in Indonesia. Human resource management strategy of study of independent project in this Amore Natural Rich Cream business by applying manpower planning. Where manpower planning is a plan for recruiting human resources in this business by taking into account the qualifications and number of workers needed to make this business run and according to plan. Strategic leadership Students from this business plan is to apply pestel analysis by monitoring the business environment before the business is launched which is seen from the Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental, and Legal aspects. In addition to the PESTEL analysis, it also performs a porters five force. Supply chain management is implemented concept of plan, source, make, deliver, store and customer as well as analyzing demand and production planning. The financial aspect of this business plan is by conducting an investment analysis of the results obtained that this business requires an initial investment as the overall working capital for this business where all this investment is borne 100% from PT Paragon Technology and Innovation. From the results and discussions that have been carried out the investment assessment shows that the discounted payback period (DPP) of the investment plan is 2 years 5 months where investors set a maximum payback period of 4 year. The net present value (NPV) of the investment plan has a positive value of Rp3.358.277.304. The IRR value of the investment plan is 25% greater than the required interest rate of 15The profitability Index (PI) of the investment plan is greater than 1 (PI > 1). From the investment analysis investment business plan baby skincare is profitable if implemented.

Abstract

Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah is an Islamic community organization that was born on November 30, 1930 in Medan, North Sumatra. This study aims to explore the management strategy of Al Jam'iyatul Washliyah's charitable business. This research is classified as field research. That way the object of research is an object in the field that is able to provide information about research studies. This research shows that, on the one hand, Al-Washliyah's charitable om88 efforts already exist in carrying out their functions in the organization. On the other hand, the Al-Washliyah organization has not been able to fully overcome the problems of managing its business charity. The main finding produced in this study, is that the organization has not been able to enforce regulations according to the demands of AD/ART AW, as a result, Al-Washliyah's charitable efforts have not been able to fully regulate organization, assets and administrative order.

Abstract

Changes in the increasingly complex and competitive business environment require companies to be more responsive to survive and continue to grow. In supporting these changes, personal changes must be related to adaptability, extraversion personality, self-efficacy, and employee performance. As an employee, adaptability is needed to survive in industrial competition. Being able to adapt means responding to changes quickly and being responsible for a job. Having an extrovert personality can also create social interaction. Moreover, having confidence in one's abilities plays an important role in determining the goals. In addition, the abilities possessed by the employees can be correlated with the performance that they want to be achieved. This research was conducted in Gelora Plaza Medan City and Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra. The type of this research was explanatory and aimed to analyze the effect and correlation between variables. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires as an instrument to collect data. The population and sample of this research involved 37 employees from Gelora Plaza Medan and 35 employees from Gelora Plaza Deli Serdang, with a total of 72 employees. This research used the saturation sampling technique to collect data by using all population members as a sample. The regression analysis results through partial and simultaneous tests prove that adaptability, extraversion personality, and self-efficacy have a significant and positive effect on employee performance. The coefficient results of determination proved that employee performance can be explained by adaptability, extraversion personality and self-efficacy of 57.6%

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the impact of financial knowledge on financial behavior on financial attitudes, which were the mediating variable for students of the Faculty of Business and Economics, Mohammed North Sumatra University. The study is of the associative type of study, which collects technical data through questionnaires (questionnaires) distributed to students. The population in this study amounted to 3,594 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, with a sample of 98 students from Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara, drawn with the Slovenian formula. The analysis method used is the path analysis model. The data processing method uses the Sempls application. According to Sempls, the results obtained in the study show that financial literacy has no significant effect on the financial behavior of students in business and business universities, and financial literacy has a significant effect on students' financial attitudes. Professor at North Sumatra School of Economics and Business, financial attitude has a significant impact on the financial behavior of students in economics and business schools, financial knowledge has no significant impact on financial behavior, financial attitude is a variable of mediation on students of the Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara University of Economics and Commerce

Abstract

Restrictions  on  physical  contact  during  the  COVID-19  pandemic  have  resulted  in  the government implementing a work from home (WFH) program. Education is one of the areas affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result of these changes, universities must change the performance of lecturers in carrying out the Tri Dharma of higher education. Lecturer performance is one of the determining factors for the success of the teaching and learning process in universities. It can be said that if the lecturer's performance is good, the university's performance will also be good. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the effect of online learning competence, adaptability and job satisfaction on the performance of lecturers at the Politeknik Negeri Medan. The research method used is a quantitative method. The place of this research was carried out at the Politeknik Negeri Medan, North Sumatra. The population in this study were all permanent lecturers at the Medan State Polytechnic, amounting to 338 people, where to determine the sample, the researchers used the Slovin formula to obtain 78 people. Data obtained through primary data and secondary data. The results of the study at the significance level of = 5% (0.05) showed that through the results of the t-test it was proven that online learning competence, adaptability and job satisfaction had a positive and significant effect on the performance of Politeknik Negeri Medan lecturers. The F-test results show that online learning competence, adaptability and job satisfaction simultaneously have a significant effect on the performance of lecturers at the Politeknik Negeri Medan. And from the results of this study,

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the effect of entrepreneurial competence, market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation on the business performance of MSME factories in the city of Medan. This research is a peer-reviewed research and the type of data used is quantitative and raw data obtained through interviews and questionnaires to the MSMEs of herbal medicine in Medan City with the assistance of the Medan City Cooperatives and MSMEs Service. Led by the Ministry of Cooperatives and MSMEs in Medan City, the authors of this study conducted a survey of 41 MSMEs of Chinese herbal medicine in Medan City. The author's sample size is 41 SME factories in Medan City, with the help of Medan City Cooperatives and SMEs for saturated sampling. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that simultaneously entrepreneurial ability, market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation have a positive and significant impact on the business performance of MSMEs in the Medan factory. The results of the study partially show that entrepreneurial ability, market orientation and entrepreneurial orientation have a positive and significant impact on the business performance of the Medan MSME factory.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the factors that influence customer interest in buying sharia insurance products (Study at PT. Asuransi Jasindo Syariah Medan marketing office. A total of 65 respondents is the number of samples used in analyzing data using the T test, F test and R2 test The results of this study state that the factors that influence interest are promotion, product, price.The result is promotion, product, price simultaneously has a significant influence on interest in becoming a customer of PT.Assuransi Jasindo Syariah Medan Marketing Office.

Abstract

The hotel industry is one of the important economic sectors as a driver of national economic growth as large investments continue to flow into its development around the world. Therefore, the tourism sector is an important driver that affects the economy of a country. The main objective of this research is to identify the relationship between the hotel industry and the impact of COVID-19 on economic growth in Malaysia. Findings obtained from this research of previous studies show that the COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact and may collapse the operating system of the hotel industry. Based on the comprehensive review of the related literature this research finds that the key issues and challenges faced by the COVID-19 pandemic in the Malaysian hotel industry, lessons learned from its devastating effects on the industry, and to contemplate possible solutions and strategies for post-pandemic recovery from a global perspective. A more comprehensive management strategy and method is needed in rebuilding the hotel industry post COVID-19 pandemic that hit the whole world
