Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to describe the process of applying the Culturally Responsive Teaching approach to strengthen the profile of Pancasila students in the dimensions of global diversity in students of SDN 09 Ngringo. Methodology: This type of research is descriptive qualitative research with data collection techniques of interviews, observation, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed through three stages data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Results: The results showed that the application of the Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach at SDN 09 Ngringo improved the dimensions of the global diversity Pancasila student profile. In the learning process, students can foster tolerance towards peers and teachers, be fair to peers, recognize cultural differences, actively participate in group discussions, and improve learning outcomes. Applications/Originality/Value: The impact of CRT implementation on global diversity character development, students gain a deeper understanding of their own culture and the culture of their peers. Teachers' challenges and barriers are teachers' lack of understanding of students' culture, limited material resources, challenges managing a diverse classroom, and lack of training and support for teachers.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of political education on the po-litical participation of novice voters in the era of globalization challenges. Methodology: This study uses a correlational method with a quantitative focus. The popula-tion in this study was 8,831 students, and the sample was 243 stu-dents who received a questionnaire with 50 statement items. Data collection techniques used questionnaires, and validity and reliability tests were carried out. This study uses data analysis techniques, and prerequisite test analysis, namely normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test, and hypothe-sis testing, namely simple regression test, T-test, and coefficient of determination. Results: The results showed that political education has a positive and partially signif-icant effect on the political participation of novice voters in the 2024 elec-tions, with a t-count of 7.890 greater than the t-table of 1.970. Political edu-cation affects the level and quality of political participation of novice voters. Political education must be carried out sustainably and involve various par-ties, such as educational institutions, mass media, and civil society organiza-tions. Political education is critical to answering current global challenges be-cause political ed-ucation is the main tool to increase citizens' awareness and capacity to partici-pate in solving global problems. Applications/Originality/Value: Global aspects, theoretically, at the formal level, schools can build a curricu-lum that integrates an understanding of global politics through teaching Pan-casila; at the community level, political education programs can be imple-mented through public discussions, digital platforms, and social media.

Abstract

Purpose: This article aims to find out about the utilization of the Merdeka Mengajar platform in differentiated learning. Methodology: The method used in this study is to use a qualitative approach with a phe-nomenological research design. The study was conducted at Sukoharjo 1 Kindergarten with teachers as subjects at the institution. The data collection technique in this study used interviews. Results: The results of this study state that there are 4 stages in implementing the utili-zation of the Merdeka Mengajar platform in the form of implementing dif-ferentiated learning, namely the features in the Merdeka Mengajar Platform that are utilized in differentiated learning, steps in implementing the utiliza-tion of the Merdeka Mengajar platform in the form of implementing differ-entiated learning, obstacles in using the Merdeka Mengajar platform in the form of implementing differentiated learning and teacher strategies in differ-entiated learning using the Merdeka Mengajar Platform. Applications/Originality/Value: 4 stages in implementing the utilization of the Merdeka Mengajar platform

Abstract

Purpose: This research aims to identify the overall Joyful Learning method that has been implemented by English teachers in the current Merdeka Curriculum. This research also aims to analyze the challenges faced by teachers, and evaluate students' responses to the application of this teaching method in class. Methodology: The methodology used in the research of Joyful Learning method in junior high school is semi-structured interviews and school observation, which are used to collect data using a qualitative research approach. Results: The/results/of the data obtained by the researcher, show that with the application of the Joyful Learning method in class learning has succeeded in making the percentage of students interested in learning foreign languages increase, so that students can easily learn English language material at the next school level. Applications/Originality/Value: however, as for the challenges or obstacles that teachers have in applying this method, teachers have their own ways so that learning runs well and smoothly. To provide assistance to students in understanding the material provided by the teacher, then the challenges faced by teachers can be resolved with this research. teachers can focus more on the methods that should be used to suit students' abilities. The results of this study add to our understanding of English language teaching methods at the junior high school level and provide guidance to improve the effectiveness of the Joyful Learning method.

Abstract

Purpose: This study analyzes POAC learning management (planning, organizing, im-plementing, and controlling/evaluating) in implementing the Pancasila student profile strengthening project at SD Negeri 01 Sedayu. Method: This study employs a case study methodology and a descriptive qualitative technique. The data in this study consisted of primary data, namely, class II teachers and principals, additional data sources from other teachers, and documentation. Methodology: The methodology used in the research of Joyful Learning method in junior high school is semi-structured interviews and school observation, which are used to collect data using a qualitative research approach. Results: Learning management in the implementation of P5 at SD Negeri 01 Sedayu includes: (1) Planning: The school held a meeting, formed a team of facilita-tors, assessed school readiness, selected project dimensions and themes, de-termined time allocations and project modules, and used an independent teaching platform in P5 planning. (2) Organizing: A facilitator team with a structure that includes principals, teachers, and extracurricular coaches with their respective roles and responsibilities. (3) Implementation: Teachers choose themes and activities that suit the needs of students through the stages of introduction, contextualization, action, and documentation of project re-sults. (4) Evaluation: Evaluation is done through direct observation, non-test methods, formative and summative assessment, and constructive feedback. Applications/Originality/Value: The novelty of this research lies in the in-depth exploration of the role of implementing learning management with the POAC approach in implement-ing P5 with a sustainable lifestyle dimension in elementary schools. The findings indicate that the successful execution of the project to improve Pan-casila's student profile is influenced by management.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to examine the concept of using loose part media for children's freedom in creativity, as well as its benefits for the development of children's creativity. As well as identifying the advantages and disadvantages in the implementation of the loose part method in learning. Methodology: This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques based on observation, interviews and documentation The research subjects involved teachers and group B children at Aisyiyah Pucangan Kindergarten. Results: The results of the research show that the Loose Parts method can be a very effective tool in increasing children's creativity, but keep in mind that its use must be done with several considerations, its application needs to be done appropriately to maximize the benefits and avoid shortcomings. Applications/Originality/Value: Loose parts media have a very positive impact on learning in PAUD because of its loose nature and easy to get in the surrounding environment and its many varieties make it easier for teachers to provide it for student learning media. Loose parts media provide new innovations in learning in PAUD because it can improve students' thinking skills, both critical thinking skills, creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Purpose: This qualitative case study investigates the advantages and disadvantages of blended learning in Magister Education Management with a focus on students and teachers' perspectives. Methodology: The study took a qualitative approach, with data gathered through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation analysis. Results: The findings highlight the benefits of blended learning, such as flexibility, access to a variety of materials, and enhanced productivity and engagement. However, the study also identified flaws such as technical issues, a lack of face-to-face engagement, and a digital divide. Applications/Originality/Value: The study's findings add to the corpus of research on blended learning in Masters Education by offering significant insight into efficient implementation. The study is significant because it informs the creation of successful blended learning methodologies that boost students' outcomes and instructor experiences increasing the quality of education in Magister.

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to determine the effect of using Twitter/X on student voting behavior in the 2024 election. Methodology: This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The in-strument used was developed by the researcher through variable indicators of Twitter/X usage and voter behavior. The sample was taken using propor-tional sampling, and the data collection technique used a questionnaire dis-tributed to 363 students. Results: Based on the formulation of the problems raised in this study, it was found that the use of Twitter/X has a significant influence on student voter behav-ior, which can be grouped into four groups, namely rational, critical, tradi-tional, and skeptical. The results of this study indicate that student voter be-havior is dominated by the rational, as many as 147 or 40.5% of students, while as many as 59.5% still need improvement. Applications/Originality/Value: This research is important because it classifies the orientation of student vot-er behavior and uses measurements based on indicators of Twitter/X use in-cluding participation, openness, conversation, community, and connected-ness and uses indicators of voter behavior including participation in demon-strations, discussions, solidarity actions, and consolidation. From the results of this study, efforts need to be made to improve student voter behavior, which can be done through Pancasila education by improving digital literacy skills through the use of Twitter/X as a learning medium, Pancasila education learning needs to utilize Twitter/X because Twitter/X is a popular social me-dia used, and can significantly improve student voter behavior.

Abstract

Purpose: Concentration is very important in early childhood so that children's learning outcomes can be more optimal. To improve children's concentration in learning, technology media can be used. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of technology in learning to improve the concentration of early childhood. Methodology: This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this study were teachers and students of group A at Tk Aisyiyah Kadipiro I. Data collection techniques were interviews, observations and documentation. Data analysis techniques were data reduction, data presentation, and data extraction conclusion. Results: The results of this study are that the use of technology can improve children's concentration in Aisyiyah Kadipiro I Kindergarten. Concentration can be seen from children being more focused, able to answer teacher questions, and a more conducive class. Applications/Originality/Value: To improve children's concentration in learning, technology media can be used.

Abstract

Purpose: Language acquisition depends a lot on communication, especially on ena-bling pupils effectively convey knowledge and ideas. With an eye toward both listening and speaking abilities among students, this study aims to iden-tify and elaborate the use of repair in the classroom activity. Methodology: The study using a descriptive qualitative approach will see how repair tech-niques and cooperative learning are applied in classroom interactions. The study focuses specifically on 10th grade students at SMA Muhammadiyah 3 Surakarta. This study examined spoken language and how students handle daily interactions. The data will be gathered by means of observation, voice recordings, and expert judgement. Results: The researcher will further document numerous repair patterns in student in-teractions to evaluate how they affect understanding improvement. The re-sult shows that self-initiated self-repair was the most used strategy to im-prove EFL student English comprehension in classroom interactions as much as 47%, followed by other-initiated self-repair (30%), and other-initiated other-repair (23%). Applications/Originality/Value: The study offers insight into how teachers and students can improve com-munication and comprehension in English learning environments. In addi-tion, this study also addresses a gap in the literature and provides practical implications for improving EFL Students’ understanding using repair strategies.
