EDU RESEARCH : Jurnal Penelitian Pendidikan merupakan jurnal yang diterbitkan oleh IICLS (Indonesian Institute for Corporate Learning and Studies), dan sebagai sarana publikasi hasil penelitian serta sharing perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan. Jurnal ini memuat artikel yang belum pernah dipublikasikan sebelumnya yang berupa artikel hasil penelitian ataupun penelitian terapan, artikel telaah yang berkaitan dengan perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan proses pembelajaran. Informasi mengenai pedoman penulisan artikel dan prosedur pengiriman artikel terdapat pada setiap penerbitan. Semua artikel yang masuk akan melalui ‘peer-review process’ setelah memenuhi persyaratan sesuai pedoman penulisan artikel. Penerbitan jurnal ini dilakukan sebanyak tiga bulan sekali yaitu pada bulan Maret, Juni, September, dan Desember.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh interaksi sosial dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) terhadap pembentukan identitas keagamaan siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen dari dua sekolah yang menerapkan pembelajaran PAI dengan pendekatan interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi sosial yang terjadi dalam konteks pembelajaran PAI berkontribusi signifikan terhadap pembentukan identitas keagamaan siswa. Interaksi antara guru dan siswa, serta antar siswa itu sendiri, menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung diskusi terbuka tentang nilai-nilai keagamaan. Siswa yang aktif terlibat dalam kegiatan diskusi dan kolaborasi menunjukkan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang ajaran agama dan mampu menginternalisasi nilai-nilai tersebut dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya interaksi sosial dalam pembelajaran PAI sebagai faktor kunci dalam pembentukan identitas keagamaan yang positif. Oleh karena itu, disarankan agar pengajaran PAI lebih menekankan pada metode interaktif yang mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pengaruh penggunaan e-modul hukum Islam berbasis model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap prestasi belajar mahasiswa Fakultas Syari'ah IAIN Kerinci. Dalam konteks pendidikan tinggi, peningkatan prestasi belajar sangat penting untuk mempersiapkan mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan di bidang hukum Islam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuasi-eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Sampel terdiri dari 60 mahasiswa yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok: kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan e-modul PBL dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran tradisional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes prestasi sebelum dan sesudah intervensi serta kuesioner untuk mengukur partisipasi mahasiswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan dalam prestasi belajar mahasiswa yang menggunakan e-modul PBL dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol, dengan nilai rata-rata post-test yang lebih tinggi. Selain itu, e-modul PBL juga berkontribusi pada peningkatan partisipasi aktif mahasiswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan e-modul hukum Islam berbasis PBL efektif dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa Fakultas Syari'ah IAIN Kerinci, serta memberikan rekomendasi untuk pemanfaatan e-modul dalam pembelajaran di masa mendatang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of local culture-based Arabic language learning in fostering students' interest in learning in Kerinci. This approach uses local culture as a medium to introduce Arabic in a more relevant and interesting way. The method applied is qualitative-descriptive, with data collection through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that local culture-based learning can increase students' interest, as they feel closer to the material presented. Local cultural elements, such as Kenduri Sko tradition, dance, and folklore, are used to introduce vocabulary and expressions in Arabic. With the integration of local cultural elements, students can learn Arabic in a more emotional and contextualized way. This study recommends that teachers integrate local cultural elements more often in Arabic language learning to increase students' engagement and motivation.

Abstract

Biodiversity is a crucial aspect of nature that must be studied and preserved. This research aims to explore the utilization of local biodiversity in Kerinci as a source for biology education in schools. Employing a qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from several schools in the Kerinci region. The results indicate that integrating local biodiversity elements into biology teaching significantly enhances students’ interest and understanding of the subject matter. Specifically, the findings show that when students learn about local flora and fauna, they become more engaged and motivated, resulting in improved academic performance. The study underscores the importance of contextualizing learning materials to reflect the students' immediate environment, making the learning experience more relevant and relatable. Furthermore, it suggests that teachers should incorporate local biological resources in their curriculum to enrich students' educational experiences and foster a deeper appreciation for their natural surroundings. The research is expected to contribute positively to the development of a more relevant and contextual biology curriculum that aligns with the students' cultural and environmental contexts. By highlighting the significance of local biodiversity in education, this study advocates for a curriculum that not only enhances scientific understanding but also promotes environmental awareness and conservation efforts among students.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate students' digital readiness in dealing with technology-based mathematics learning in the digital era, given the demands of digital transformation that affect various aspects of higher education, including mathematics teaching. Students' digital readiness in this study is defined as the ability to access technology, digital literacy, and adaptability to technology-based learning tools. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study method, where data were collected through in-depth interviews and questionnaires to 50 students from the Mathematics Education study program at a university in Indonesia. Data were analyzed using thematic analysis technique to identify patterns and main themes related to students' digital readiness. The results showed that most students have good access to basic digital tools, such as laptops and smartphones, as well as the internet. However, there are challenges in accessing mathematics-specific software that supports concept visualization and interaction in technology-based learning. In addition, students' digital literacy is at an intermediate level, with some students still finding it difficult to utilize mathematics-specific learning software and applications. The main factors influencing digital readiness include access to technology, digital literacy competence, and students' experience in using technology-based applications. Obstacles faced by students include limitations in using specialized software and low understanding of digital literacy in the context of mathematics learning.

Abstract

This article aims to examine the influence of local culture on Islamic Religious Education learning in Sungai Penuh. Sungai Penuh, which is rich in the traditions and cultural values of its people, offers a unique context for the implementation of religious education. This research uses a qualitative approach with interview and observation methods with educators and students in several educational institutions, including madrasah and public schools. The results show that local culture plays a significant role in enriching teaching materials and learning methods. The integration of cultural values, such as mutual cooperation, respect for parents, and local wisdom, is proven to increase students' motivation in understanding Islamic teachings. In addition, the use of local languages in teaching also helps students to more easily grasp the religious concepts taught. However, there is a challenge in balancing the sometimes conflicting teachings of religion and local culture. Therefore, it is important for educators to develop a curriculum that is sensitive to local culture without compromising the values of Islamic teachings. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a more relevant and contextualized religious education in Sungai Penuh, as well as a reference for researchers and educators in an effort to improve the quality of Islamic Religious Education learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap hasil belajar Biologi Umum mahasiswa semester 1 di IAIN Kerinci. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain pre-test dan post-test. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok yang menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan metode konvensional. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar dan dianalisis menggunakan uji t untuk membandingkan nilai rata-rata kedua kelompok. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar mahasiswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis proyek dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Dari hasil analisis, diperoleh nilai p < 0,05, yang mengindikasikan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam Biologi Umum. Implikasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi pengembangan metode pengajaran di perguruan tinggi, khususnya dalam bidang sains.

Abstract

This paper focuses on disclosing the values ​​in traditional expressions of Pno Adat to the Kerinci people as an effort to inculcate an anti-corruption culture in the millennial generation in Kerinci Regency. Corruption cases are carried out by individuals from various backgrounds, ranging from high-ranking state officials to village officials. Eradicating corruption means fighting and preventing corruption. Enforcement is carried out by a state institution called the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), while the prevention of corruption can be carried out by the community, one of which is by cultivating character through cultural values ​​in both formal and non-formal education. in society. Kerinci Regency has an oral tradition of Pno Adat which has value in character building. This customary principle is upheld by the Kerinci people as a character value related to anti-corruption cultural integrity. Data and information were obtained from field observations and interviews with key informants, namely the Karang Setio customary stakeholders. In addition, researchers conducted journal literature related to the research theme. It is hoped that the results of the research can become a reference and guideline for the community, especially the millennial generation in the Kerinci community that there is no corrupt Kerinci culture where there are character values ​​in the anti-corruption culture contained in it such as Compliance, Responsibility, Complete Work, Fairness, and Integrity. The value of Pno Adat which has been upheld by the community and implemented by the people of Kerinci. Therefore, these values ​​must be inherited and passed on to the younger generation as the successors of the Kerinci nation and culture.

Abstract

Silat Kampil merupakan seni tradisi silat yang terdapat di Desa Teluk Majelis Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur Provinsi Jambi. Silat Kampil hidup dan berkembang dalam masyarakat Melayu Timur yang telah menjadi masyarakat melayu Tanjab Timur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana bentuk gerak Silat Kampil menjadi dasar penciptaan karya tari baru pada pendidikan menengah pertama di Desa Teluk Majelis. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan komunikasi. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik tringulasi data. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bentuk Silat Kampil terdiri dari gerak langkah sembah, gerak langkah tigo, gerak gayung, gerak pepat, gerak simbur dan gerak pepat. Makna simbolik pada Silat Kampil terdapat pada nama silat, makna pada tenaga gerak, dan makna sosial pada gerak silat. Penggunaan bentuk gerak dan makna gerak sebagai pencitaan karya tari baru pada pendidikan menengah pertama di Desa Teluk Majelis adalah ditarik pada nilai pendidikan moral, nilai pendidikan agama, dan nilai tradisi dan budaya. Nilai-nilai ini digunakan oleh Sekolah Menengah Pertama untuk menanamkan pada diri siswa sekolah menggunakan media gerak dan seni pertunjukan.

Abstract

Online and digital learning is an impact of globalization. Learning activities now come in various forms, such as direct online learning and indirect online learning. Of course, this makes it easier for students to access information. The learning process in schools requires media that suits students' characteristics to achieve learning goals, one of which is increasing learning motivation and a clear understanding of the learning material. When learning Natural Sciences (IPA), especially solar system material, teachers often use conventional media such as printed books, so that students do not get concrete descriptions of celestial bodies or solar system activities, so learning media are needed that can describe solar system material clearly. It is hoped that the solar system animation video will provide a complete explanation of the solar system and other celestial bodies. This research aims to develop animated video-based learning media on solar system material and test its feasibility procedurally, theoretically and practically. The development method used is ADDIE which consists of 5 stages, namely analyze, design, develop, implementation and evaluate. The results of the assessment of the feasibility of solar system animated video-based learning media for junior high school students based on the opinion of media experts obtained a percentage of 96% and were included in the "Very feasible" category. The results of the assessment of the feasibility of learning media based on the opinion of material experts received a percentage of 89% and were included in the "Very feasible" category. And the assessment results based on the teacher's opinion obtained a percentage of 87% and practical feasibility results of 88%, which means that animated video-based learning media is procedurally, theoretically and practically feasible. Thus, it can be concluded that media can be used to increase junior high school students' understanding and motivation in learning Natural Sciences (IPA).
