Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of job satisfaction and gender on the relationship between employee engagement and intention to leave. The population in this study were all employees of PT X. The 121-sample size was determined by Slovin formula. The study used convenience sampling for the sampling technique. The data obtained were analyzed with Simple Mediation Model with Macro Process. The research findings contended that job satisfaction is proven to mediate the relationship between employee engagement and intention to leave which moderated by gender.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect off school principal's servant leadership, discipline, work motivation, and teacher’s commitment on the performance of vocational school teachers in Temanggung Regency. The findings show that (1) servant leadership has no significant positive effect on performance; (2) servant leadership has a significant positive effect on discipline by 25%, 18% on work motivation, and 20% on commitment; (3) discipline, work motivation, and commitment significantly have positive effect on performance by 71%; and (4) servant leadership has a significant positive effect on performance through discipline, work motivation, and commitment. Significant performance improvement is not influenced by servant leadership. However, servant leadership has a significant positive effect through mediation of discipline, work motivation, and commitment.

Abstract

This paper discusses how to solve problems occurring in the risk management of musyarakah mutanaqisah contract on home financing in sharia banks in Indonesia, particularly on its legal and operational issues. This study used a qualitative method using library data collection techniques and interviews. The study found that legal and operational risk management issues could be satisfactorily resolved by agreement of rescheduling, adding new conditions, and using new structures in accordance with Islamic teachings and applicable positive laws. In addition, ownership proof of some is needed to minimize the risk for the bank and the customer.

Abstract

This paper investigates Panasonic's strategies for its better competitive edge through environmental sustainability. The study analyzed the data collected from the company's websites, customers' personal experiences, and questionnaires. The surveys on customers' feedback on Panasonic products and services were carried out. This study's literature contribution value lies in its investigation of how Panasonic's environmental sustainability has led the company to a competitive advantage. The findings of this paper have significant importance since people today are more concerned about environmental sustainability. Strategies and practices that create a sustainable world economy were discussed.

Abstract

The production of beef cattle farming enterprises in North Sulawesi has not been able to meet people consumption needs. This condition is due to their slow absorption of breeding technology information among farmers, while the existing internet technology is merely used for entertainment needs. This research paper is to encourage the formation of an empowering model for beef cattle farmers in rural areas using websites. The findings suggested that the design model should be based upon farmer’s capabilities and existence of farmers, since they have adequate information about websites as outreach media needed for farmer empowerment.

Abstract

Lifestyle, including activities, interests, and opinions, influences consumer shopping behaviour and decisions in laundry businesses. It relates to individual’s way of life, use of money and time, expressed in activities, interests, and opinions. Therefore, those partaking in this business need to understand their consumers’ lifestyle, for complete information on what products to offer, innovate, and promote. This study was conducted in Malalayang, Paal 2, Boulevard, and the areas surrounding Sam Ratulangi Airport, the central areas of modern laundry businesses in Manado. The findings suggest that lifestyle simultaneously conferred a positive and significant effect on consumer’s laundry service preference. Therefore, every related dimension, including activities, interests, and opinions, also significantly affects the parameter under investigation.

Abstract

Petronas Chemical Group is one of the largest and most popular companies in Southern Asia primarily involved in marketing, manufacturing, and selling diversified ranges of chemical products. The main purpose of this research paper is to determine the role of leaderships and leaders’ behavioral characteristic on employees of Petronas Chemical Group. This study focuses on types of leadership its leaders assert in the working environment to sustain the development of their employees’ performance. This study may strengthen the understanding of the role of leadership or leadership style that will chip in employee job performance.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the role of marketing capability, operations capability, management practices and environmental investment on the environmental performance of agro-industry companies. This research conducted a survey research on all employees of 120 agroindustry companies. The samples were selected with proportionate stratified random sampling based on management level of the companies. The data were compiled from questionnaires and field observations. After the validity and reliability test, a set of classical assumptions were undergone to determine the variable relations, along with the hypothesis testing with multiple linear regression, t test and F test. The results of this study indicate that marketing capability, operations capability, management practices, and environmental investments have effects on environmental performance.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the meaning of accounting on Chinese businessperson perspective. It was conducted at Chinese beekeeping in Malang Regency. Observations, interviews, and documentations were used as data collection technique on this study. This study is qualitative research with phenomenology approach focusing on thought, individual and society as the object of analysis. It was interesting to determine how Chinese entrepreneurs perceive accounting since many entrepreneurs believe Chinese entrepreneurs can be relied on. This study contended that Chinese entrepreneurs see accounting as (1) information; (2) calculation (decision based); and (3) accountability.

Abstract

The main purpose of this paper is to examine and analyze the effect of intellectual capital and corporate governance on the performance of village credit institutions in Tampaksiring District, Gianyar, Bali. The study population were 32 village credit institutions with 96 respondents. The findings show that there is a positive influence of intellectual capital and corporate governance on the performance of village credit institutions. This indicates that intellectual capital and good corporate governance of village credit institutions, such as human capital, capital structure and relational capital highly will improve the performance of village credit institutions.
