The topic of individual taxpayer compliance is an interesting one to study because it looks at it from two perspectives, namely strength and trust in authorities. There are also differences in results from previous studies, which motivates the research. This study tries to analyse the effect of tax socialization on individual taxpayer compliance, which is mediation by taxpayer awareness and understanding of taxation. The sampling technique used in this study was probability sampling, namely simple random sampling. The sample size in this study was 111 respondents. According to the findings of the study, tax socialization has an effect on individual taxpayer compliance, which is mediation by taxpayer awareness. Based on the research results, further research can add service quality variables. Good service quality will have an impact on increasing individual taxpayer compliance in carrying out their tax obligations, and then providing quality services to taxpayers will make taxpayers further increase individual taxpayer compliance in fulfilling their tax obligations. Keywords: Individual Taxpayer Compliance, Strength and Trust in Authorities, Tax Socialization, Taxpayer Awarennes, and Understanding of Taxation.

Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to analyze the effect of green supply chain management on economic performance in catering SMEs in the province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. In the previous research, those relationships are mediated by green capability as the intervening variable. This study uses a purposive sampling technique. There are 50 catering SMEs as samples in this study. The questionnaire data were analyzed using the SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) analysis method using the SmartPLS v.3.2.7 software. The results of this study are different from the previous research. The differences may come from the highly distinct population from the prior research subjects. Therefore, some hypotheses are not accepted. Only one hypothesis is accepted, which is about the effect of green capability on economic performance. The limitation of this research is that it only conducts research in one sector, and the differences in circumstances and places of research cause research results to differ significantly from previous studies. In addition, the results of this study cannot be generalized and do not represent existing businesses in other sectors.

Abstract

Covid-19 affected consumer behavior, especially in the first year. Expectations and consumer habits in grocery shopping are switched over. Government regulations limit our outside activities caused consumer demand for omnichannel shopping experience or online and offline shopping availability at once (Economist, 2021).A physical store is still an option for a multichannel company and will give a unique value to the brand (Bella, 2019). The consumer will be more pleased to evaluate online stores after having experience from a physical store (Baek, 2020). Physical stores and online stores are complementary (Fornari, 2016).To persuade the consumer to come to a physical store, many retail players have tried to implement a virtual tour experience since it enables the consumer to experience a certain store or place without having to visit it physically. The virtual tour uses a computer to present a virtual environment with 360degree media, online media, and virtual reality tech without the need to attend physically. As part of the brand experience, virtual tours influence brand equity and increase visit intention (Baek, 2020). Positive experience with store brands also influences purchase intention (Diallo, 2017). The higher the brand equity, the higher motivation, preference, and desire to purchase (Pappu, 2005).

Abstract

An orphanage is an institution that replaces the role of parents in nurturing, maintaining, caring for, and educating children. This study aims to describe the implementation of character education values, obstacles, and efforts made in orphanages. This study uses a literature review method. The data collection technique used google scholar with the keywords "implementation of character education values" and "character education in orphanages". The number of articles reviewed is 10 articles. The results of the research from these 10 articles show that the implementation of character education values in orphanages comes from 18 Pancasila character values, but only 3 appear to be implemented consistently, namely religious, tolerant and democratic. The obstacles faced are that it takes a long time to foster children's character due to differences in background, caregivers do not prioritize character education, lack of infrastructure and human resources while the efforts made are to give roles to social volunteers to maximize human resources in fostering foster children, establish cooperation with the community, making orphanages like their own family environment. Keywords: Application of Character Education, Application of Values, Character education values, Orphanages, Pancasila values, the role of caregivers

Abstract

The purpose of this study to find out empirically the effect of firm size on the timeliness of the submission of financial statements, with profitability as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach using secondary data. The sample was selected by purposive sampling from a population of mining sector companies listed on the IDX starting in 2019 – 2021. The hypothesis was tested using the SPSS program with the moderated regression analysis technique. The results of the study indicate that the size of the company doesn’t have affects to the timeliness of the submission of financial statements, and profitability does strengthen or weaken the effect of the size of the company on the timeliness of the submission of financial statements. Based on the research results, further research can add company age. Based on the results of the study, further research can add the variable age of the company. Because age is a consideration for investors when investing their capital, companies with an older age develop skills in collecting, processing, and producing information when needed. Then the age of the company will increasingly have an impact on the timeliness of submitting financial statements. Keywords: Firm Size, Mining Companies, Profitability, Submission of Financial Statements, and Timeliness.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the how the regional economic activity measured as the agglomeration of companies affects domestic tourism during the Covid-19 pandemic, taking into account the spatial relationship between provinces in Indonesia. Spatial analysis was carried out using Moran’s I test and Spatial Durbin Model. The value of Moran’s I significantly positive, indicating that there is a link of tourists visits between provinces. The main variables of companies and density have a significant negative, while the labor variable has a significant positive on the number of domestic tourist visiting in a province. The results confirm that areas with high regional economic activity were less attractive to domestic tourist during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. In addition, other factors that affect domestic tourism are labor and population density. As the positive spillover findings on Indonesian domestic tourism shown in this study, the government needs to be utilized as one of the considerations in regional tourism improvement programs. This suggests that provinces especially the less developed should take full advantage of the spillover effect between provinces on tourism flows from neighboring provinces to support local tourism development.
