Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of principals' leadership and achievement motivation on the competence of teaching high school teachers in the city of Manado.The research method is a survey method with regression analysis by first conducting a prerequisite test, namely data normality test and data linearity. The next is to analyze the data with simple regression and multiple regression then the significance test is performed.The results of data analysis show that: (1) principals' leadership positively influences the competence of teaching high school teachers in the city of Manado; (2) achievement motivation positively influences the competence of teaching high school teachers in the city of Manado; (3) jointly the principal's leadership and achievement motivation had a positive effect on the competence of teaching teachers in senior high schools in the city of Manado. Abstract

This study aims to contribute to the social capital theory. This goal is achieved through determine the relationship between social capital and firm performance. It is carried out because SME's have limited access to resources. SME's need other alternatives to sustain their business. Small entrepreneurs feel the need to focus more on their internal resources. The development of the theory of social capital is important. In contrast to most previous studies, this research uses qualitative study research methods. To obtain the data, in-depth interviews with key informants were conducted. The finding shows that social capital consists of reciprocity, trust, network, and norms. This study also provides evidence that social capital plays a pivotal role in SME performance. Small entrepreneurs get various benefits after joining the group. In addition, social capital can help empower ordinary housewives to become small-scale entrepreneurs. In conclusion, strong social capital can improve business performance, thereby encouraging the economy to grow. The results of this research can be used as consideration for business entities to strengthen their business performance. More than that, this research is also used as a guide in determining strategic SME development policies for government. This research also contributes to the development of strategic management theory.

Abstract

The development of technology in modern times requires contractors especially in Indonesia to compete and adjust their capabilities with foreign contractors whose technology has been developed rapidly. One of the efforts is to establish a joint venture company. Construction project has various risk that influence the relationship between the engaging party and might trigger conflict. In order to avoid it, it is necessary to develop administrative and claim documentation system. A case study is used to obtain this research aim and analyze factors that dominate the project claims. Therefore, unavoidable risk can be managed in this type of contract.

Abstract

The purpose The objective of the research is to find the variable that gives significant influence to the liquidity of the port company, which is seen from the amount of cash / bank, accounts receivable, inventory and debt with the study conducted at Surabaya Port Company Indonesia. Method, The research data uses financial statements published by the company for the period of 2010 to 2014. This study examines the influence of four independent variables (the amount of cash / bank, accounts receivable, inventory and debt) to one variable bound liquidity.Analysis technic to test the hypothesis using linear regression multiple with SPSS version 20. Result, The results showed that the most dominant factor influenced the decrease of corporate liquidity (case study PT.Pelabuhan Indonesia Surabaya Branch) is the factor of cash / bank. The findings The findings of this study is the value of the liquidity of a port firm is largely determined by the availability of the money in the cash and bank owned by the company. This leads the company to always keep the amount of funds deposited in cash and bank enough to maintain the company's liquidity. Keywords: Ratio, liquidity, decline, port firm

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the direct effect of entrepreneurial orientation, also the indirect effect of entrepreneurial orientation on the organizational performance of SMEs in the district Sleman through the mediating effect of TQM. This research was made using quantitative research methods using 53 confectionery businesses in Sleman Regency as the research population. The sampling technique in this study used census sampling. Data collection techniques were carried out using a questionnaire as a research instrument. From the results of research and data testing, it can be seen that the entrepreneurial orientation affects the total quality management (TQM) of the confectionery business in Sleman Regency, the entrepreneurial orientation affects the organizational performance of the confectionery business in Sleman Regency, TQM   affects the performance organizational   SMEs confection in Sleman, and there is the indirect effect of orientation entrepreneurial organizational performance through TQM

Abstract

Culture has been understood as one of the factors that has a strong component in influencing all management activities. This study was aimed to study the role of six cultural dimensions of Hofstede’s model and its impact on the workforce in Indonesian organizations. This study is qualitative research and using the metaanalysis method. Indonesia has a high power distance and collectivism, moderately in masculine, low preference for avoiding uncertainty, long-term oriented, and restraint which has an impact on the workforce. Results of this study showed that practical understanding of cultural dimensions of Hofstede’s model and its impact on the workforce in Indonesian organizations.

Abstract

The purpose of our study is to examine and analyze: (1) the effect of working capital on profitability, (2) the effect of liquidity on profitability, and (3) the effect of working capital and liquidity simultaneously to profitability. This research was conducted at the ceramics, glass, and porcelain of manufacturing companies that listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) 2012-2016. The companies analyzed amounted to 6 companies determined based on sampling criteria. The analysis method used is panel data analysis by using Eviews 10 programming computer. The results of this study found that working capital has an insignificant relationship with profitability. The liquidity has an insignificant with profitability. Abstract

Raw material procurement management is one of the most important activities in production activities. CV Hukasari Semesta is one of the types of micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that is quite developed in Muna Regency which prepares cashew nut products in the form of logs and ready-to-serve. The purpose of this study is to determine the management of raw material procurement by CV Hukasari Semesta in the cashew nut processing business in Mabodo Village, Muna Regency. This research uses descriptive qualitative analysis. The results showed that the management of raw material procurement carried out by CV Hukasari Semesta in ensuring the availability of production raw materials, namely implementing the planning function of raw material procurement, raw material purchasing function, raw material transportation function, raw material sorting function, raw material quality control function, and raw material warehousing function. The implication of this research is that micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in carrying out important business activities apply raw material procurement management to maintain the availability of raw materials during the production process and the quality of the products to be produced.Keywords: management, product, quality, raw material, and SMEs

Abstract

This research investigates the impact of market orientation on MSME performance with attention to the mediating role of trust in past experiences. The connection was examined using CB-SEM with a sample of 267 MSME managers in Indonesia, with a structured questionnaire design on a 7-point Likert scale. The finding of this research is that trust in past experience has a crucial role in improving the connection between market orientation and MSME performance. By listening to the success of previous transactions, consumers are going to be more confident to shop for these MSME products, which needless to say will affect increasing MSME performance in terms of total sales.

Abstract

The education curriculum in Indonesia requires students to be able to find concepts and link them with the problems in the real world. This makes a teacher, must be able to facilitate students in building their own understanding. Microteaching, is a subject about the basic teaching that is taken by every student majoring in education as a Prospective Teacher. Based on this, the substance of the microteaching course must be able to prepare teachers in accordance with the applicable curriculum requirements. On the other hand, the life-based learning approach that promotes learning originating from life is considered very suitable to represent the demands of the curriculum. This study aims to interpret student perspectives on microteaching learning through a life based learning approach. Based on the results of the study, it is known that students find it easier to understand microteaching courses that uses a life based learning approach.
