Abstract

The development of a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to evaluate and select students eligible for assistance based on predetermined criteria has been successfully accomplished. The SAW method involves six assessment criteria: family members (0.1), parental employment status (0.15), residence status (0.1), monthly income (0.3), student absenteeism (0.15), and academic achievement (0.2). The primary aim of this DSS is to streamline the decision-making process for teachers and administrators at SDN Panunggangan 4. Employing this algorithm, the system automatically ranks students based on their highest scores to prioritize those deserving of assistance. The study was centered on 32 sixth-grade students. Moving forward, it is hoped that this application can be enhanced and implemented more extensively.

Abstract

Fiber to the Home (FTTH) is a network technology that provides high-speed internet connectivity directly to homes. FTTH has revolutionized the world of internet communication by using optical fiber as the main transmission medium, providing superior speed and signal quality. Fiber To The Home has also developed the multimedia industry, as FTTH can provide multimedia services. Fiber To The Home utilizes GPON (Gigabit Passive Optical Network) technology to save time in processing the delivery of various data and communication information. This research aims to analyze the acceptable limits of network attenuation in Fiber To The Home (FTTH), to address attenuation values that exceed the predetermined acceptable limits and to identify the causes of increased attenuation in the network. The method used in this research is the NDLC (Network Development Life Cycle) method and the method that analyzes the attenuation value of each core in the PON that has been determined. The attenuation values must comply with the predetermined acceptable limit of -28 dB. The causes of increased attenuation are the presence of connections on each cable, the number of cables leading to one distribution point, and bends in the cable exceeding 45°. To address attenuation values that exceed the acceptable limit, management of the core in fiber optic cables is conducted, reducing the potential for increases in attenuation values that exceed the acceptable limits

Abstract

The purpose of digitization is to make an institution or organization more effective and efficient in various aspects, one of which is attendance. Therefore, this research aims to design a digital attendance system using NodeMCU as the microcontroller and RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) as the sensor to read student ID cards, integrated with a web-based database. Currently, at PPKD (Pusat Pelatihan Kerja Daerah) Jakarta Pusat, the student attendance system still relies on conventional paper-based methods, which are ineffective, inefficient, and prone to errors. In addition to reducing paper usage, the design of this digital attendance system also aims to promote student discipline in attendance. The research employs the Research and Development (R&D) method, which aims to produce a specific product or enhance existing ones. The testing results demonstrate the successful transfer of student data from their ID cards (E-KTP) to the database via RFID sensors and NodeMCU microcontrollers. The system also displays this data on a web interface designed using PHP programming language. Overall, this research contributes to an effective and efficient attendance monitoring process for PIC (Person In Charge) at PPKD Central Jakarta

Abstract

The implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems has become a key strategy for companies to enhance operational efficiency and cross-departmental data integration. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Compiere ERP in medium to large enterprises, which have higher business process complexity and a greater need for integrated data management. The research methodology includes a case study on a company that has adopted Compiere ERP, covering stages of installation, module customization, and evaluation of its impact on business process effectiveness. The findings indicate that Compiere ERP improves data integration, simplifies inventory management, and accelerates information access across departments. However, some challenges emerged during the customization phase to meet specific business needs and integrate with pre-existing systems. This study provides insights into the benefits and obstacles of implementing Compiere ERP and offers recommendations for effective implementation strategies in medium to large companies. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for other companies considering open-source ERP solutions to support sustainable business growth.

Abstract

Mental health is one of the most important aspects of human life, especially in the modern era, which is filled with stress and challenges. However, many individuals are reluctant or face difficulties in accessing mental health services due to social stigma and limited resources. To address this challenge, this study developed a web-based expert system to predict an individual's mental health condition using the Forward Chaining method. The Forward Chaining method is utilized to analyze symptoms inputted by users based on predefined rules, enabling the system to provide accurate initial diagnoses and appropriate recommendations. The application is designed to be user-friendly and easily accessible, assisting individuals in obtaining mental health information and support without fear of stigma. Additionally, the system also has the potential to serve as a supporting tool for mental health professionals in providing efficient initial diagnoses.

Abstract

Malnutrition among Indonesian toddlers remains a significant public health challenge, with the prevalence of stunting reaching 24.4% in 2021—indicating that nearly one in four children in Indonesia experiences substantial growth retardation at an early age. The long-term effects of stunting extend beyond physical growth limitations, encompassing reduced cognitive capacity, increased vulnerability to chronic diseases later in life, and diminished economic productivity. This research aims to develop a web-based application integrated with artificial intelligence (AI) and APIs to: (1) calculate height-for-age and weight-for-age Z-scores based on WHO references, (2) automatically identify the risk of stunting and nutritional status in toddlers, and (3) provide personalized nutritional interventions in the form of local food recommendations tailored to each individual’s condition. The application development follows the Agile Methodology. The final product is an AI-based API application for toddler nutritional assessment and intervention using WHO data as the foundation. The application was evaluated through validity and effectiveness testing. The system validity test resulted in a score of 0.83, indicating a valid classification, while the effectiveness test yielded a score of 0.82, reflecting a high level of effectiveness. Based on these findings, the application has the potential to serve as an innovative tool for healthcare providers and parents in both preventive and curative efforts against stunting, using a data-driven and culturally contextualized approach aligned with Indonesian conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the educational game application Brainzy in improving mathematics learning outcomes of first-grade students at SDN 013 Rambah. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest model. The research instrument consisted of pretest and posttest assessments administered to 27 students before and after the treatment. Descriptive statistical analysis revealed an increase in the average score from 61.67 (pretest) to 78.44 (posttest). The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed, allowing further analysis using a paired sample t-test, which showed a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.05). Moreover, the N-Gain analysis yielded an average of 0.438, categorized as moderate. These findings suggest that the use of Brainzy is moderately effective in enhancing elementary students’ mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

Education is a tool to build a better nation and state. Learning is an interaction process between students and teachers. The learning process takes place between components that are interrelated with each other with the content of educational goals. The teacher is the most influential component to the creation of quality educational processes and outcomes. his quantitative research method is a quasi-experimental method, a quasi-experiment is a research that approaches an experiment where it is impossible to control/manipulate all relevant variables. n this research, the researcher used a quasi-experimental model which was conducted in two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The result of Equal Variances Assumed from understanding the concept with a sig.(2-tailed) value is 0.000. Based on the decision making criteria sig.(2-tailed) 0.000 0.05 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results of Equal Variances Assumed from interest in learning with a sig.(2-tailed) value is 0.000. There is a significant effect of the use of animated pop up book media on students' understanding of concepts in science subjects in class V SD Negeri 005 Rambah. Based on the results of the T-Test test analysis in the experimental class, it was obtained a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 0.05, it can be concluded that the animated pop up book media has a positive effect on conceptual understanding at SD Negeri 005 Rambah

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology requires various business sectors, including coffee shops, to adopt systems that improve operational efficiency and service quality. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is a strategic solution to integrate various business processes centrally. However, the wide variety of ERP options with different features and costs necessitates an appropriate evaluation method to select the system that best fits business needs. This study uses the Multi-Factor Evaluation Process (MFEP) method to assist coffee shops in choosing the best ERP technology based on criteria such as cost, features, user-friendliness, security, and technical support. The results indicate that Odoo ERP is the recommended option due to its modularity, ease of use, cost flexibility, and adequate community and technical support. Proper ERP implementation is expected to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and competitiveness of coffee shop businesses in an increasingly competitive market.

Abstract

Rewarding employees is one of the important strategies for improving motivation and performance within an organization. However, many companies face difficulties in determining which employees deserve rewards in a fair and objective manner. This research aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) that can assist in determining which employees are entitled to receive rewards based on several relevant criteria, using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The SAW method is chosen for its ability to solve decision-making problems that involve multiple criteria with multi-attribute characteristics. The criteria used in this study include performance, discipline, contribution to the team, and initiative. The results of the study indicate that the application of the SAW method can produce objective and transparent decisions, as well as provide a solid basis for rewarding employees. The employee alternative with the highest score based on the SAW calculation is selected as the reward recipient, which is expected to enhance employee motivation and performance within the company. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a more systematic and data-driven reward system.
