Jurnal Pendidikan IPS (JP-IPS) adalah jurnal yang menggunakan model blind review yang dapat diakses online. Tujuan dari JP-IPS adalah untuk menerbitkan jurnal yang berisi artikel berkualitas yang akan dapat menyumbangkan pemikiran dari perspektif teoritis dan empiris untuk kemajuan teknologi dan pendidikan. Tulisan-tulisan di JP-IPS akan memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pemikiran kritis dalam bidang ilmiah secara umum, khususnya di bidang Ilmu Pendidikan IPS. JPIPS menerima manuskrip dari berbagai kalangan terkait, seperti peneliti yang relevan, dosen, profesor, mahasiswa, guru, Praktisi, ilmuwan, dan lainnya.

Abstract

Pasar tradisional memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung aktivitas ekonomi dan sosial masyarakat, salah satunya adalah Pasar Cungking yang terletak di Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak keberadaan Pasar Cungking terhadap kehidupan sosial dan ekonomi masyarakat di sekitarnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian meliputi pedagang, pengelola pasar, dan masyarakat sekitar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara sosial, keberadaan Pasar Cungking memberikan kontribusi besar dalam membentuk jaringan sosial yang kuat, meningkatkan interaksi dan toleransi antar warga, serta menjadi ruang publik yang memfasilitasi hubungan sosial yang harmonis. Sementara itu, dari aspek ekonomi, pasar ini berperan dalam meningkatkan pendapatan masyarakat, membuka peluang usaha, dan mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi lokal. Kebersihan, keteraturan, dan partisipasi aktif warga dalam mengelola pasar juga menjadikan Pasar Cungking sebagai contoh pasar tradisional yang berkembang secara positif.

Abstract

Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kualitas instrumen tes kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pada materi Elemen Dasar Akuntansi dan Dasar Perbankan Fase E di SMK. Instrumen berupa 45 soal pilihan ganda yang diuji cobakan kepada 20 siswa kompetensi keahlian Akuntansi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui Google Form, kemudian dianalisis secara empiris menggunakan aplikasi ANATES versi 4.0. Analisis meliputi validitas butir (korelasi point biserial), reliabilitas instrumen (KR-20), daya pembeda, tingkat kesukaran, efektivitas pengecoh, serta hubungan skor butir dengan skor total. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen memiliki reliabilitas baik dengan koefisien 0,77. Pada tingkat butir, sebanyak 27 soal dinyatakan layak digunakan, 14 soal perlu direvisi karena kelemahan pada daya pembeda, tingkat kesukaran, atau validitas, dan 4 soal harus dibuang karena memiliki daya pembeda negatif atau korelasi negatif dengan skor total. Dengan demikian, meskipun kualitas instrumen secara umum baik, diperlukan revisi terarah agar instrumen semakin akurat dalam mengukur kompetensi berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap kondisi sosial dan lingkungan di kawasan tambang emas Gunung Botak Kabupaten Buru, serta mengkaji kearifan lokal masaurat sebagai ruang komunikasi yang dapat memperkuat kesadaran sosio-ekologi masyarakat di kawasan tambang emas Gunung Botak Kabupaten Buru. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi literatur, sehingga sumber data dari penelitian ini diperoleh dari kajian pustaka yang relevan dengan permasalahan penelitian. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pertambangan emas di kawasan Gunung Botak Kabupaten Buru menimbulkan dampak sosial dan lingkungan. Dampak sosialnya adalah menurunnya persatuan dan kebersamaan dalam masyarakat karena semakin individualis dengan sibuk mencari pendapatan ekonomi melalui tembang. Dampak terhadap lingkungan yaitu tercemarnya sungai dan terjadinya kerusakan ekosistem pesisir akibat pembuangan limbah merkuri pertambangan emas. Selanjutnya kearifan lokal masaurat digunakan sebagai ruang komunikasi untuk menguatkan kesadaran sosio-ekologis masyarakat. Masaurat berperan dalam menumbuhkan solidaritas serta membangun hubungan antarmanusia dengan manusia lain dan manusia dengan lingkungan. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi masyarakat di Kabupaten Buru, bahwa masaurat mengandung nilai-nilai yang dapat digunakan untuk menguatkan kesadaran sosio-ekologi. Dan diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi terkait peran kearifan lokal dalam menguatkan kesadaran sosio-ekologis masyarakat di daerah lain.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain information regarding the role of the use of technology-based learning media (ICT) in developing students' social studies learning at the junior high school level. The method used is a heritage study or literature study approach. This research comes from several journals that are relevant to the topic of discussion within the scope of the use of ICT-based learning media in junior high school social studies learning. Data collection was carried out by searching several scientific articles in digital scientific journals and digital websites. Data analysis was carried out using the content method through the process of selecting several scientific articles and scientific sources that were relevant to the scope of the research, so that relevant data was produced. The research results obtained are the use of ICT-based technology as a learning medium in the social studies learning process in junior high schools and relevant media in junior high school social studies learning so that it can increase motivation, learning outcomes and digital literacy in students, especially in the junior high school environment.

Abstract

In the perspective of globalization, regional autonomy, and decentralization of education and to make school-based management and competency-based curriculum a success, the principal is a central figure who must be a role model for other education personnel in the school. Therefore, to support the success of the changes made and expected, it is necessary to prepare professional principals who are willing and able to plan, implement, and evaluate various policies and changes made effectively and efficiently. Supervision can actually be carried out by the principal who acts as a supervisor, but in the modern education organization system, a special supervisor is needed who is more independent and can increase objectivity in coaching and carrying out his duties. If supervision is carried out by the principal, then he must be able to carry out various supervisions and controls to improve the performance of education personnel. Supervision and control are also preventive measures to prevent education personnel from committing deviations and to be more careful in carrying out their work. Supervision and control carried out by the principal on his education personnel, especially teachers, is called clinical supervision, which aims to improve the professional abilities of teachers and improve the quality of learning through effective learning.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital information flow requires Generation Z students to possess strong information validation skills in academic activities. This study aims to describe the information validation competence of Social Studies Education students at UIN Jakarta as representatives of Generation Z. The research employed a qualitative case study approach supported by simple quantitative data from questionnaires. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving fifth-semester students selected by purposive sampling. Data analysis applied the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, which includes data condensation, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that students primarily rely on social media and scientific journals as their main sources, showing a high awareness of the importance of information verification. The study concludes that Generation Z’s information validation competence is relatively well-developed but requires further strengthening through digital literacy education. This research contributes to enriching digital literacy studies and advancing higher education strategies based on information literacy.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of the Al Washliyah Values-Based Meaningful Learning Model as a pedagogical approach capable of strengthening the quality of education in Al Washliyah's partner schools. The background to this research stems from Al Washliyah's internal need to provide a learning model that not only develops academic competencies but also instills Islamic values, Islamic values, and character in students holistically. Specifically, this study formulates a learning model that integrates Al Washliyah's core values ​​of faith, knowledge, and charity into meaningful learning stages, encompassing the activation of prior knowledge, the construction of new concepts,The research results show that the developed model has a very high level of validity from educational experts and Al Washliyah figures. Implementation of the model has also been proven to improve the quality of the learning process, student motivation, Islamic attitudes and character competencies, and teacher performance in planning and implementing values-based learning.internalization of values, and collaborative reflection within the context of teaching and learning activities.The research method used a research and development (R&D) approach using a modified Borg & Gall model in four stages: needs exploration, model design, expert validation, and limited implementation testing in three Al Washliyah partner schools. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation analysis. Data were then processed qualitatively and quantitatively to assess the model's feasibility and its impact on improving learning quality. The findings of this study confirm that the integration of Al Washliyah values ​​into meaningful learning significantly enhances educational quality, particularly in Al Washliyah-supported institutions focused on developing knowledgeable, moral, and progressive individuals. This model is recommended as a pedagogical reference for Al Washliyah schools more broadly and can be developed for other Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

This research led to the development of digital teaching materials based on the Canva website to create material on Unity and Integrity for Pancasila Education for third graders at MIS NU Palangka Raya. The product was created using the ADDIE method, starting with needs analysis, design, development, and direct classroom trials. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and several questionnaires from material experts, design experts, class teachers, and students. Validation results showed that the developed teaching materials were considered very suitable for use, with material experts giving a score of 96.6%, design experts 95.9%, class teachers 97.05%, and field trials with students reaching 91.35%. Furthermore, pretest and posttest results showed significant learning improvements, as evidenced by a t-test with a significant value of 0.00 and an average N-Gain of 0.72 (high category). Overall, this digital teaching material has been proven to help students better understand the material, increase their enthusiasm for learning, and make the learning process more engaging and in line with technological developments.
