Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of demonstration methods to improve art learning outcomes in the class IX State Junior High School 7 Samarinda, which is held for 1 month. Subjects in this study were students Class IX SMP Negeri 7 Samarinda. The number of students who made the subject of research as many as 41 students. The form of research is classroom action research. The instrument of this research consisted of performance instrument and data collection instrument in the form of observation sheet of teacher activity and student activity. Based on the analysis and interpretation of data can be concluded that the increase in student learning outcomes after implemented learning by using the method of demonstration. As it is understanding of students experienced an increase from before the PTK that is in classical completeness only reaches on 39.02 classical completeness but after implemented in the first cycle by using the demonstration method of meeting 1 increased to 75.61 then the classical completeness again increased in cycle II that is to achieve classical mastery 92.68 % or can be said complete learning with all students are able to achieve the value of KKM.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) increase the activity of class XI TP SMK Negeri 6 Samarinda in CNC subjects using CNC lathe simulator media, and (2) improve student achievement in CNC subjects using CNC lathe simulator media. This research is classroom action research with the Kemmis model & Mc Taggart. This research lasted for three rounds (cycles). The research procedure starts from action planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of class XI at SMK Negeri 6 Samarinda, which consisted of 30 students. The instruments used in this study were observation sheets and learning achievement tests. Data about student activity was obtained through class observation and the results of the observations were processed in group and individual processing to compare the level of student activity in each cycle. Data on learning achievement was obtained through exams and analyzed to compare exam results in each cycle. The results of the study show that learning using a CNC lathe machine simulator media can increase student activity and achievement during the learning process. The pattern of learning carried out in cycle I was by lecture method, question and answer, and using power point media which was very appropriate in the early stages to convey material about programming parts. This is evidenced by the number of students who were very active during learning, namely 11 students or 37% with learning achievement reaching 6.65. The pattern of learning carried out in cycle II is to provide exercises and assignments with high intensity which can increase student activity by 16 students or 53% accompanied by learning achievement of 7.34. learning patterns with problem solving applied in cycle III were able to increase student activity, namely to 21 students or 67% followed by an increase in learning achievement reaching 7.92.

Abstract

This research implemented Classroom Action Research by three cycles in 2022/2023-year plan. The subject is Dress Making Department of third class XII at Vocational High School 3 Samarinda followed by 21 students, and the object lesson is about Reading Section. Teaching Learning by Levelling System require the similarity of English Skills ability on the certain level of special class by concerning the placement test score divided into 3 kinds of abilities level based on the score achieved by the students. Next step is to choose the suitable Teaching-Learning Method based on students’ English ability level and be concluded by evaluation. Shorts of evaluation be held, one of them is daily performance test that be held at the last of lesson explanation, periodical test that be held at the last of some topic’s explanation, promotion test that be held at the last of semester to follow up and to determine the suitable new student’s ability’s level, and prediction and international TOEIC test to measure the international standard of students’ English ability. The implementation of this teaching- learning model can increase the learning outcomes significantly. It is proved by the increasing of teaching-learning quality more than 75%, start from second cycle (84,5%) and (98,8%) on the third cycle.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the problem of weak teachers in preparing Learning Implementation Plans (RPP). The purpose of this study was to describe the increase in teacher competence in preparing lesson plans through clinical supervision at SLBN Pembina Prov. East Kalimantan, Samarinda City District. This research is a type of School Action Research (PTS) through cycles consisting of 4 stages, namely: planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this research were two class teachers. Data collection techniques used in this study are: documentation, observation, and interviews. The data analysis used in this study is descriptive quantitative data analysis which originates from observation and evaluation data.

Abstract

Child with Intellectual Disability (ID) is a child below average intelligence, experiences behavioural obstacles, adjustments and occurs during his development. Children’s with Intellectual Disability are often equated with mentally retardation terms (Feeble Minded). Reading using the role-playing method is one of the main lessons that teachers give to children at school. The lesson, which is a part of Bahasa course, is given early as a basis for further learning. Children who cannot read yet have difficulty following other lessons. The purpose of this classroom action research is entitled " Efforts to Improve Achievement of Learning Indonesian in Reading Material by Applying the Role-Playing Method in Class XI SLB Negeri Pembina, east Kalimantan Province " is to get an overview of the implementation of learning Indonesian in reading in children at SMPLB SLB N Pembina, east Kalimantan Province and the difficulties faced by the teacher. in improving the implementation of learning to read in mentally retarded children. In this classroom action research, the subjects of this study were five students with in class XI and the data collection techniques used were observation and test. Furthermore, the research results were analysed using quantitative and qualitative analysis techniques.

Abstract

Humans always try to build relationships. The relationships that humans build include relationships with others, the universe and with the Creator. This study discusses the theological reflection on humans and the value of order-harmony in the Sukat custom and its relevance to the teachings of the Catholic Church. So, the approach used is a qualitative approach with literature and empirical research methods. The results of this study recommend: (1) The Sacramental Dimension in the Sukat Traditional Ceremony: an inculturative reflection to affirm the existence of the sacraments in the Catholic Church, (2) The role of traditional leadership and the Church: a pastoral review in preserving culture and indigenizing the Catholic Church among ethnic groups Dayak Tonyooi-Benuaq; (3) The concept of harmony in adat Sukat in relation to the story of creation: a biblical review of the Tonyooi-Benuaq culture and its relevance to the pastoral of the Church.

Abstract

This study aims to describe: (1) optimizing child-based school development plan (RPS) in the humid forest climate in SMA Negeri 9 Samarinda, (2) optimizing the implementation of child-friendly RPS based on humid forest climate in SMA 9 Samarinda, and ( 3) supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of child-friendly based RPS optimization in humid forest climate in SMA Negeri 9 Samarinda This research was conducted in Samarinda 9 Public High School by using a qualitative approach with a case study method. The research subjects are child-friendly based school programs. The informants used were principals, teachers, students and parents. Data collection techniques (1) in-depth interviews, (2) observation, and (3) documentation. The collected data is examined for the validity of the data using triangulation of sources and techniques. The results showed that: (1) planning for child-friendly RPS based on humid forest climate in SMA Negeri 9 Samarinda has been carried out by planning a program involving all elements and compiling in RKAS, (2) implementing child-based based RPS optimization has been carried out fulfilling 6 indicators: (a) i.e. non-violence declaration program policies (b) teaching and learning activities carried out contextually with the environment (c) infrastructure is sought to be comfortable and safe for students, (d) student participation is involved in school activities, (e) active parent participation accompany their children's learning at home, (f) participation with the business world in cooperation with PT. Garuda Sinar Perkasa; (3) one of the supporting factors of the program is the cooperation of all school residents, and the inhibiting factors are flooding and coordination technical obstacles. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the optimization of the implementation of child-friendly RPS based on humid forest climate in SMA Negeri 9 Samarinda has been carried out optimally despite several obstacles.

Abstract

The ability to write expository essays of students is still unsatisfactory and needs to be improved. The reason is that students are less interested in writing skills and the strategies used by teachers are still lacking. The portfolio strategy is expected to improve the ability to write exposition essays for class XI students. This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of portfolio assessment and feedback on learning Indonesian, especially learning to write exposition essays using a portfolio strategy. The research design used a classroom action research design with the research subject being the development of portfolio strategies in teaching exposition essay writing for class XI students. This research consisted of two cycles, each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data from this study were obtained using test instruments or in the form of exposition and non-test essays. Analysis of test data using quantitative techniques, while analysis of non-test data using qualitative techniques. Based on the analysis of research data, students' ability to write exposition essays from cycle I to cycle II has increased. The average score in writing expository essays from cycle I to cycle II has increased. The average value in writing expository essays in the first cycle was 5,42 and in the second cycle it increased by 2,62 with an average value of 8,03. So, the increase in the ability to write expository essays from cycle I to cycle II is 27,5%.

Abstract

This study aims to improve English grammar skills for high school students state 3 Samarinda. This study uses a classroom action research design that was carried out at SMA Negeri 3 Samarinda for students of class XI IPS. The results showed that there was a significant increase in students' English grammar mastery as indicated by the data of an increase in students' English grammar mastery. The score of English grammar after the classroom action research was conducted, the percentage improvement was 13%. So, it can be concluded that the song media with English lyrics can improve students' grammar mastery.
