Abstract

Indonesia is a country whose population has a variety of religious beliefs, including Islam, Christianity, Catholicism, Buddhism, Hinduism, Confucianism, and others beliefs. The majority of Indonesia's population adheres to Islam. This then makes religious subjects a basic compulsory subject given in schools at every level of elementary, middle school even university. Bangka Regency has 6 religions in accordance with the religions recognized by Indonesia, namely Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Catholicism, Protestantism, and Khong Hu Cu. Bangka is one of the districts known for the diversity of trust and upholds the right to respect differences. This research was designed to identify the phenomena occurring which was related to the availability of religious teachers based on the context of fulfilling students' rights to proper religious education for them and to identify the factors influencing the conditions of the application of religious education in elementary schools (SD), both in private schools and state schools, related to the availability of religious teachers who were of the same religion as students. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative using the perspective of Educational Sociology as the blade of analysis. The results showed that the problems faced in relation to religious subjects faced at primary schools in Bangka were often the subjects taught by teachers who were not competing with them. This then made students with minority religions in the school follow the majority ones' religions or they got the subject from teachers with incapability in religious basis.

Abstract

Economic transactions titled sexuality have long been a commodity traded by the public since the colonial period. Prostitution is a classic problem that remains unresolved in Indonesia. Present prostitution becomes a paradox in the modern life of connoisseurs of globalization, so what is happening now is the commodification of prostitution which is called online prostitution. This paper focuses on describing the commodification of online prostitution as a critique of globalization that utilizes platforms/applications/websites to attract customers who are certainly different from conventional prostitution by borrowing the concept of commodification from Karl Marx. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive type. The results of the research describe that the presence of globalization constructs the commodification of prostitution by the mechanism of using online media as a means to launch such activities. Globalization from a critical perspective must be seen as one of the threats that can attack cultural communities in the midst of the battle of digitalization in Indonesia. In wading through this problem, we certainly still must oversee all policies and good cooperation with various parties to be able to minimize the strong development of globalization, starting from strengthening legal standing, using social media wisely, to monitoring from various parties to be able to oversee all the bad possibilities that will occur through the vehicle of globalization.

Abstract

This paper explains that the phenomenon of klitih in Yogyakarta is an action that is contrary to existing norms in society. The perpetrators of klitih who incidentally are students, enter into the trap of delinquency that causes victims. Actions that they do damage their personality and unsettle motorists at night. Besides that, it causes deep sadness that educational institutions have not succeeded in establishing a good character for students and adolescents in this country, especially for perpetrators. This research connects the phenomenon of klitih in Yogyakarta with Max Weber's views through his two theories, namely social action and social change. This research is qualitative with its descriptive analysis and through accurate sources. The results of this research are: First, the action of the perpetrators who do a kind of a game and as a form of recognition by their peers: Second, parents, educational institutions, and the community are not optimal in providing supervision to adolescents and students so that many teenagers in this epoch are involved on various delinquents; Third, the target of the clitih action is motorists who pass certain areas at night. Overall the phenomena that occur are consistent with Max Weber's theory that humans an action with a sense of emotion, prioritizing their interests, so they no longer pay attention to existing norms and think irrationally.

Abstract

Humans as subjects and objects of law cannot live and carry out lawsuits. But instead, humans are bound by a rule that applies in the midst of their lives as citizens in their environment. For this reason, awareness is needed in understanding and obey the rules that apply. But social and cultural changes that occur continuously sometimes bring hope as well as concern. Hope, because change will bring better conditions, and fears will come if the future is worse than the present. The development of science and technology that should have raised hopes and reduced concerns are now also marked by the confrontation of scientists and scholars, namely the separation between the world and the hereafter, making it difficult to control human attitudes as the excesses of the emptiness of the soul. Helping the general public requires the ability to wage jihad in the field of da'wah. The insistent pressure in the Prophet's preaching in Mecca then inspired the Prophet to emigrate and temporarily exit from Mecca to Medina. The original name of the city was Yastrib. This Prophet's strategy turned out to be very telling and presented a golden journey in the history of da'wah and the formation of society. With all the intelligence and attitudes of the Prophet Muhammad, when in Medina not only can spread in the sense of tabli but more than that the Prophet Together the community can build a model of a modern social system even too modern in its time. Abstract

The meaning of a mosque is not just a place of worship, but a place where civilization runs so that prosperity is needed in the mosque. This research aims to determine how the management process of the Al-Ikhlas Mosque, Bareng urban village, and Malang City is trying to reconstruct the true meaning of the mosque. The theory used in this study was the social construction of Peter L. Berger. This theory is useful for analyzing the social construction of the Al-Ikhlas Mosque in building civilization and the prosperity of the mosque through three processes: externalization, objectification, and internalization. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, documentation, and relevant literature studies. The informants of this research were two mosque takmir administrators who were selected using a purposive sampling technique to ensure that the data generated were accurate. The results showed that there is a social construction in the management of the Al-Ikhlas Mosque, which is divided into three processes. The first is reflected in the response of the community, who needs a mosque as a center of civilization and prosperity for the people. Second, the objectification process through various mosque management activities such as the existence of the Happy Market, EkoMas (Al-Ikhlas Mosque Economy), Rukun Kematian, S3 (Sedekah Seribu Sehari), Sports Venue and routine studies. Third, the internalization process obtained by the community and mosque administrators through the primary socialization process from the family and secondary socialization from the surrounding environment, which is then passed down to the next generation, namely the mosque congregation, through routine studies. Through these three social construction processes, mosque management is created that aims to build a center of civilization and prosperity for the people.

Abstract

This article discusses environmental theology in Islam and Christianity, namely, the thoughts of Seyyed Hossein Nasr and Joseph Sittler. In Islam, there is a very important concept of khalifah, in which humans are tasked with protecting and maintaining their natural environment. Meanwhile, in Christianity, the concept of nature’s sacredness teaches that the environment is evidence of God's love that must be well preserved. This article focuses on the thought maps of Seyyed Hossein Nasr and Joseph Sittler in the context of environmental conservation and how the relationship between humans, God, and nature is implemented in life. This study used a literature review method. Data collection and analysis were performed based on the data collected from various scientific sources from the two figures. In addition, data were obtained from various sources relevant to the writing theme. In this comparative study, the thoughts of Seyyed Hossein Nasr and Joseph Sittler are compared in terms of the basic concept of thought, views on the relationship between humans, God, and nature, and the implications of thought for environmental action. In the comparison, it was found that both agreed that the environment must be well preserved and that humans must be responsible for the sustainability of the environment. However, there are differences in their views on the relationship between humans, God, and nature, and how environmental actions can be taken. From the analysis and discussion, it can be concluded that the ideas of the two figures converge in the understanding that humans must begin to change their paradigm towards nature. That nature is a manifestation of God's love; even nature is an emanation of God's presence that must be treated and preserved as humans treat themselves. If so, then it is possible for the sustainability of nature to be easily realized. In the future, it will be possible to realize the continuity of a more moral human civilization.
