Abstract

Based on the background of the problem, this researchs is unique in that partial interrogative sentences begin with the letter H and total interrogative sentences begin with the letters M, H, G, and S. the aim of this researchs is to describe the form of partial interrogative sentences in the South Nias language, Teluk Dalam dialect. Hiliganöwö village and total interrogative sentences in South Nias language, Teluk Dalam dialect, Hiliganöwö village. This type of researchs is qualitative researchs with descriptive methods. The objects of this researchs are traditional leaders and several Hiliganöwö Village communities with the number of informants being four (4) people with an age range of 40-60 years. The data colletion technique is a semi- structured interview technique. The data analysis technique in this researchs are data reduction, data display, and verification. The results of this research show that in Hiliganöwö village there are partial question sentences forms that begin with letter H, namely Hadia, Haega, Hamega, Hanata, Hana, and Haegaiwaisa. And the total interrogative sentence form begins with the letters M, H, G, and S, namely moguna khou embe anda wa?, Hadia mamoi ndraugö mowoli barabara ba fasa wa?, gömöi ba fasa mahemolu wa?, so khömi mböra wa?. The suggestions put forward by the researchers are for teachers, this research is used as a comparision material with Indonesian question sentences, and of course it can help students learn the Nias language better.

Abstract

The problem with this research is that errors in using capital letters and the use of punctuation marks, commas and brackets in writing news texts are still relatively low. The aims of this research are. This type of research is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects in the research were 20 students in class VIII-A of SMP Negeri 2 Telukdalam. The result of the research showed that there were 16 capital letters and 21 in the punctuation marks news texts as evidenced by photos of students assignments. Suggestion put forward in this research 1) Indonesian language teachers should provide students with a thorough understanding of how to use spelling in the news according to correct spelling rules. 2) for students, they are required to pay attention to writing good and correct news texts according to spelling standards so as not to hinder the reader’s understanding of the news written 3) for researchers, this research is anticipated to teach Indonesian language and literature teachers in the future important lessons about how to recognize students’ learning deficiencies better and how to use correct spelling.

Abstract

Based on the background of this research problem, there are still many people who do not know that Araceae plants have many types of species which give rise to diversity and relationships between each other. This research aims 1) to find out the relationship between the Araceae family, 3) to find out the benefits of the Araceae family, 2) to find out the public's response to the Araceae family. The type of research used in this research is qualitative research. The place of this research is Sifaoroasi Village, Amandraya District, South Nias Regency. This research was carried out from May to June 2023. The data collection techniques for this research were interviews and documentation. This research data was analyzed using data reduction, verification and drawing conclusions. The conclusion from this research is that there are several types of araceae families found in Sifaoroasi Village, namely some food, medicinal and ornamental plants and there are 6 types of araceae plants found in Sifaoroasi Village, namely Alocasia, Colacasia, Homalomena, Coladium, Aglaonema, Schicmatoglottis. The suggestions offered by researchers are that it is hoped that this research can become a source of information about material diversity and kinship relationships between species belonging to the Araceae family based on morphological characters.

Abstract

The background of the problem in this study is that students' interest in reading decreased due to the inability to understand what they read and the reading language that did not attract students. Students of the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program prefer to read novels rather than ceta books that are already available in the library. The purpose of this study is to describe the reading interest of Indonesian Language and Literature Education students, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Nias Raya University. The results of the study found that those who had an interest in reading Indonesian Language and Literature Education students were 11 people from various semesters, while those who had less interest in reading Indonesian Language and Literature Education students were 5 people. Suggestions in this study are: 1) The need for assistance from lecturers to expedite the learning process and provide exercises to students and provide guidance. This is important to do so that students want to read; 2) Students are expected not only to listen to explanations from lecturers, but should read a lot of books related to literary works in order to better understand what is explained by lecturers;

Abstract

The current development of science and technology requires teachers to be able to follow developments in these aspects. Likewise, in learning activities teachers are required to create interesting learning by using learning media to increase students' interest in learning in the learning process. The aims of this research are 1) to determine the use of learning media with teaching strategies by teachers in class VIII in Civics subjects at BNKP Teluk Dalam Christian Private Middle School and 2) to determine the increase in students' interest in learning in the use of learning media with teaching strategies by teachers in class VIII in Civics subject at BNKP Teluk Dalam Christian Private Middle School. This type of research is qualitative research using a descriptive approach. The subjects in this research were class VIII PPKn subject teachers and class VIII students of BNKP Teluk Dalam Christian Private Middle School. Data collection techniques in this research used 1) Observation Techniques, 2) Interview Techniques, 3) Documentation Techniques. The data analysis technique in this research uses 1) Data Reduction, 2) Data Display 3) Conclusion Drawing. The results of this research indicate that there is an increase in students' interest in learning through the use of learning media with teachers' teaching strategies. So it can be concluded that 1) The use of learning media with teaching strategies for teachers in class VIII in Civics subjects at BNKP Teluk Dalam Christian Private Middle School uses learning media in the teaching and learning process. 2) Increasing students' interest in learning about the use of learning media with the teaching strategies of teachers in class VIII on Civics subjects at BNKP Teluk Dalam Christian Private Middle School. Students become more active in learning, do assignments well, take complete notes, answer questions given and listen when the teacher explains. Suggestions from researchers are 1) Teachers should use learning media with teaching strategies in the learning process so that they can increase students' interest in learning in the teaching and learning process, 2) Students should always be active in learning activities and always foster interest in learning by involving themselves in the learning process

Abstract

The problem of this research is the occurrence of a moral crisis in students in the learning process. The results of this research show that studying character education in Civics subjects can overcome students' moral crises. Therefore, it may be inferred that character education is being implemented in the Civics curriculum at SMP Negeri 1 Luahagundre Maniamolo, namely: a. Provide coaching to students. b. Give awards or appreciation to students who are successful in applying character values. c. Provide an example to students. d. Creating a democratic school environment. e. Create comfort for students. f. Provide a good approach. Even though there are many efforts made by teachers to implement character values ​​and overcome moral crises, there are still obstacles that teachers face. This obstacle is the lack of children's seriousness in learning, this makes it difficult for teachers to apply character education to learning, for example the child's attitude is indifferent towards the teacher during learning. The suggestion from researchers is that schools should be able to create a comfortable school environment to make it easier to instill character education for students.

Abstract

This research aims 1) to find out the forms of code switching and code mixingin the film “Layangan Putus” by Benni Setiawan in episodes 1 to 5, 2) to find out the reasons for the use of code switching and code mixing in the film “Layangan Putus” by Benni Setiawan in episodes 1 to 5. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research. The data in this research are: secondary data the source of data in this research is the film “Layangan Putus”. Data collection techniques in this research are watching techniques, reading techniquesand note-taking techniques. The data analysis techniques in this research is data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions/verification.the conclusion is that in the film “Layangan Putus” there are extreme forms of code switching, there are six data and factors for the occurrence of code switching, namely the interlocutor, for mere prestige,the speaker and the speaker personality, the speaker while the formsof code mixing by inserting word elementsare eleven data and formsof code mixing, including eleven repetitions of words, as well as the reason that encourage code mixing namely role identification, identification of various desires to explain or interpret. Sugestions 1) for future researchers, this research should be used as a reference to enrich and increase knowledge about study of code mixing and code switching as well as a source of informations that can support the development of similar research. 2) for students, increasing knowledge and cultivating curiosity is not only being a recipient of knowledge but also being able to become a producer of thoughts about the oral discourse contained in the film “Layangan Putus” regarding forms of code mixing and code switching and their use that occurs in leaming language

Abstract

The problem in this research is that students’ pronouncition errors in pronouncing or enunciating each word when interacting in Indonesian language learning are stillrelatively poor. The aim of this research is 1) to describe the forms of pronounciation errors in Indonesian language learning interactins by clas VIII-A SMP Negeri 2 Teluk Dalam and 2) to describe the causes of pronounciation errors in Indonesian language learning interactions by class VIII-A SMP Negeri 2 Teluk Dalam. This type of research is primary data. Primary data is data obtained directly by researchers from sources, in the form of students pronounciation errors. the data source in this research was 27 students in class VIII-A SMP Negeri 2 Teluk Dalam. The data collection technique in this research is the recording technique. Recording technique is data collection technique by recording student conversations. There are three parts to the data analysis, namely 1) data reduction, 2) data display, and 3) Drawing conclusion. The results of this research are that students still often make pronounciation errors, phoneme addition, intonation errors/words fragments, and pausing errors. The reasons are due to the influence of regional languages, lack of knowledge about linguistics, and being influenced by the state or condition of speaking apparatus. The suggestion put forward by researchers is that a teacher should always teach and apply good and correct Indonesian language methods when interacting with theachers and classmates during learning.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the use of language that always pays attention to politeness. This research aims to describe language politeness in discussion activities between teachers and class VIII students of SMP Negeri 1 Luahagundre Maniamolo for the 2022/2023 academic year. The data source in this research is a qualitative approach with a descriptive type. The data collection technique in this research was that the researcher recorded video directly while students were discussing. The findings of this research show that conversations between teachers and students during discussions contain: (1) a scale of formality (2) a scale of indecisiveness (3) a scale of camaraderie. It can be concluded that politeness in speaking will determine how a person's relationship is in terms of communicating with other people as interlocutors or speech partners. If good speech does not contain coercion, arrogance and pressure, always prioritizes other people's benefits and does not offend other people's feelings, then the speaker and speech partner will be better at communicating, but if the opposite happens then the speaker and speech partner will be hindered in communication between them. . Based on the research results, it is recommended that when speaking, students should pay attention to who the person they are speaking to and the situation that is taking place, especially class VIII-A of SMP Negeri 1 Luahagundre Maniamolo to maintain polite language so that they are always liked by others.

Abstract

Latar belakang masalah bahwa proses pembelajaran masih bersifat pada guru dan belum melibatkan partisipasi siswa secara menyeluruh, siswa lebih banyak mendengar dan menulis apa yang disampaikan oleh guru selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning berbasis contextual teaching and learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Ulususua Tahun Pembelajaran 2022/2023. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII sedangkan sampel penelitian ini Negeri 2 Ulususua. Data penelitian ini dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ada pengaruh model pembelajaran discovery learning berbasis contextual teaching and learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Ulususua Tahun Pembelajaran 2022/2023. Bahwa kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen dapat dikatakan lebih banyak siswa yang tuntas belajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran discovery learning berbasis contextual teaching and learning dibandingkan dengan dengan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran konvesional dan selama mengikuti kegiatan pembelajaran melalui model pembelajaran discovery learning berbasis contextual teaching and learning siswa lebih mengerti seperti yang terlihat pada tes akhir untuk kelas eksperimen dengan hasil belajar siswa. Saran peneliti (1) hendaknya guru menggunakan model pembelajaran ini dalam kegiatan pembelajaran karena membuat siswa rajin dan lebih berpikir kritis dalam belajar serta daya tarik yang diperoleh dengan mempelajari matematika. (2) hendaknya peneliti selanjutnya melaksanakan penelitian ini dengan cakupan yang lebih luas lagi.
