Abstract

This research uses a type of qualitative research with a descriptive research approach. The informants of this study were students of class VIII-A Christian Private Middle School BNKP Telukdalam, which consisted of 32 students. Data were analyzed by the steps of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The research instruments used were questionnaires, problem-solving ability tests and interviews. The research findings showed that: Of the 32 students, there were 12.5% ​​of students in the very good category, 40.6% of students in the good category, 46.9% of students in the medium category, and there were no students in the less or very poor category. The highest percentage for each indicator of student learning motivation is: the desire and desire to succeed (enough category, 50.0%), the encouragement and need for learning (good category, 53.1%), the existence of hopes and aspirations for the future (good category, 53.1%), there is appreciation in learning (good category, 56.3%), there are interesting activities in learning (enough category, 53.1%), there are conducive learning activities (enough category, 50 and 15.63% of students in the very less category. Through this research, the researchers suggest that teachers should create a pleasant atmosphere for learning mathematics, involve students so that they can motivate students to learn mathematics and provide habituation to students in solving mathematical problems using the correct procedures or steps for solving them.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a linear programming module to improve understanding of mathematical concepts. The type of research carried out is research and development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation. Data collection techniques are validation, questionnaires and tests. Data analysis techniques used are qualitative data and quantitative data. Based on the results of research and discussion, the linear programming module has met the valid, practical and effective criteria. The results of the validation of the material expert stage 1 with an average of 57.63% and categorized as less valid, the validation of the material expert stage II with an average of 88.89% and categorized as very valid and the validation of the material expert stage III with an average of 93.75% and categorized as very valid. Furthermore, the validation of media experts with an average of 76.62% and categorized as valid. Language expert validation with an average of 75% and categorized as valid. The average practicality result in the limited class trial was 4.21 with a percentage of 84.2% and was categorized as very practical. Furthermore, the field class trial with an average of 3.98 with a percentage of 79.6% and categorized as practical. The results of the effectiveness in the limited class trial obtained an average of 0.94 in the high category while for the field class trial the average was 0.80 with the high category. It is hoped that the Linear Program module developed can be used to gain understanding.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students' low mathematical problem solving abilities, the center of mathematics learning in teacher-centered classrooms and teachers have not developed their own teaching materials in the form of modules. The purpose of this research is to develop teaching materials in the form of modules on the material of a three-variable linear equation system to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The type of research used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). Based on the results of research and discussion, the validity results were obtained based on the calculation results of the validation results from material experts and media experts with an average of 89, 55% and categorized as very valid. Practical results were obtained based on trials in limited classes and field classes. The average practicality result in the limited class trial is 4.4 with a percentage of 88.32% and is categorized as very practical, then the average practicality result in the field trial is 4.42 with a percentage of 88.32% and is categorized as very practical. Effectiveness results were obtained based on trials in limited classes and field classes. The results of the effectiveness of the limited class trial obtained an average of 0.62 with a percentage of 62.33% and were in the medium category. Field trials obtained an average of 0.61 percentage of 61.94% and were in the medium category. Thus, the results of the study indicate that the developed module has met the valid, practical and effective criteria. The developed module is expected to be used to support teaching and learning activities, especially in improving mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

. Sources of data in this study is primary data obtained directly in the field through interviews, observations and documentation. While secondary data obtained from other sources such as books, journals, and articles made by other people. The method used in this research is explorative ethology with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique in this research is to use data reduction techniques, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The technique of checking the validity of the data in this study uses source triangulation. The research findings obtained by the researchers in this study are that weaver ants are more commonly found in arboreal habitats than in terrestrial habitats, there are differences in the ethology of weaver ants in terrestrial habitats and weaver ants in arboreal habitats. The ethological differences in question are mating ethology, feeding ethology, self-defense ethology, communication ethology and weaver ant ecology. Researchers suggest in this study that further researchers can further develop research on insect ethology, especially the weaver ant species so that this research can be used as reference material in teaching insect behavior, as a guide and reading for those in need and as a source of information and knowledge about the roles and benefits. weaver ants in agriculture.

Abstract

The type of research used is research development or Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model (Define, Design, Development, Disseminate). Based on the results of research and discussion, the opportunity module has met the criteria of being valid, practical and effective. The results of the validity with an average of 91.66% and categorized as very valid. The average practicality result in the limited class trial is 4.11 with a percentage of 82.2% and is categorized as very practical, then the average practicality result in the field trial is 4.16 with a percentage of 83.26% and is categorized as very practical. The results of the effectiveness of the limited class trial obtained an average of 0.45 in the medium category, and the field class trial obtained an average of 0.72 in the high category. The developed module can be used to improve students' mathematics learning outcomes on probability material.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the use of ciplukan as a hypertension drug in Mohili village, Amandraya District, South Nias Regency. The source of data in this study is primary and secondary. Data collection techniques in this study were interview and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this study were data reduction, using data presentation and drawing conclusions. The conclusion is that people with hypertension in Mohili village, Amandraya sub-district, sout Nias district use ciplukan as the mst consumed hypertension drug, namely ciplukan boiled water around 80% then about 20% consume ciplukan fruit in a fresh state. And the suggestion is that this research is expected to be a source in regards to knowing the benefitts of the ciplukanplant as a hypertension medicinal plant, especially in Mohili village.

Abstract

The research method uses Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop and Dessimenate). Data collection techniques used are questionnaires and tests. Data analysis techniques, namely qualitative data analysis and quantitative data analysis. Based on the results of the research and discussion, the straight line equation module meets the valid, practical and effective criteria. The validity results for validating material experts obtained an average of 86.66% very valid criteria, media expert validation obtained an average of 80% valid criteria and validation of language experts obtained an average of 92.72% very valid criteria, from the three validations obtained an average of 85.31/% criteria very valid. Practicality results in limited trials obtained an average of 4.33 with a percentage of 86.62% very practical criteria, field trials obtained an average of 4.27 with a percentage of 85.35% practical criteria and teacher response obtained 4.25 with a percentage of 86.6% very practical criteria. The effectiveness results in limited trials obtained an average of 73.15 criteria of being quite effective and field trials obtaining an average of 72.28 criteria of being quite effective. The N-Gain results show an increase in students' problem solving abilities through limited trials obtained g = 0.57 medium criteria and field trials obtained g = 0.56 moderate criteria. So it is concluded that the straight line equation module can improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities. It is expected that the developed module can be used in the process of learning mathematics on straight line equations.

Abstract

The limited availability of books and the lack of utilization of biology learning media by teachers is one of the serious obstacles in learning activities. This study aims to develop biodiversity learning media. This type of research is research and development using PLOMP development method. This study was tested on the students of Class XI SMA Negeri 1 Telukdalam totaling 20 people. To standardize the product, it is carried out through three stages of testing, namely; validity test, practicality test, and effectiveness test. The instrument used is to distribute the assessment questionnaire using likert scale and evaluation test questions to determine the cognitive learning outcomes of students. The results showed that the scientific-based blogspot media on biodiversity material was very valid with a percentage of 94.7% and feasible to use. The average value of practicalities assessed by teachers (3.6) and students (3.55) is in the category of very practical. The results of student motivation were at 86.18% with an average value of 87.7% improved cognitive learning outcomes compared to the value before using the media with an average score of 57.2 in the sufficient category. Suggestions proposed by researchers are 1) biology subject teachers should be able to use scientific-based blogspot media as a learning medium in the teaching and learning process because it can increase student interest and motivation. 2) through this learning media, hopefully students can broaden their horizons regarding biology learning on biodiversity materials. 3) for further researchers, this scientific-based blogspot media can be used as a reference in relevant research.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a Student Worksheet based on Contextual Teaching and Learning on valid, practical, and effective social arithmetic material. The type of research used in this research is research and development or (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Data collection techniques used are validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and student learning outcomes tests. While the data analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative data analysis. Based on research and discussion that the results of the material expert's validation were 94.4% with very decent criteria, the validation results from media experts were 82.2% with very feasible criteria, and the validation results from linguists were 98% with very feasible criteria. The results of the practicality test of the individual trial respondents were 70.33% with interesting and practical criteria, the results of the small group trial respondents were 81% with a very interesting and very practical category, and the results of the field trial respondents were 81% with a very interesting and very attractive category. very practical. The results of the effectiveness obtained an average value of 84.5% with a very high category. The researcher hopes that this worksheet can make it easier for students to understand the concept of social arithmetic material.

Abstract

Learning resources are anything that can be used to support and facilitate the learning process. Learning resources consist of teaching materials that have been prepared by educators with the aim to provide to students by supporting the learning process of students. This study aims to produce interactive learning media products on the human digestive system material that is valid, practical and effective. This type is the development of the PLOMP model. The research method used in this study is research and Development. The results of the research that researchers get through that has been distributed is a questionnaire which states that the Interactive Learning media tested is very valid, practical, and very effective. Student motivation is categorized as very high. As well as student learning outcomes in the Cognitive Realm stated excellent results. So through these results it is concluded that the development of interactive learning media on the material of the human digestive system is valid, practical and effective, to support student learning outcomes. Researcher suggestions are (1) biology subject teachers should be able to use learning modules as teaching materials in the learning process because it can increase students ' interest and motivation to learn (2) through this teaching material hopefully students can broaden their horizons about learning biology in the human digestive system material (3) for further researchers, Interactive Learning media in the human digestive system material can be used as reference material in relevant research.
