Abstract

Hearing limitations are often an obstacle for deaf people in learning Arabic letters, including Hijaiyah letters. Deaf people are children with hearing impairments, either deaf or hard of hearing. The lack of learning media causes parents to experience learning problems in their children. Therefore, learning media is needed so that people with hearing disabilities can get easy learning, especially learning Hijaiyah letters. An introduction application is needed to facilitate learning, which is able to improve the ability to recognize hijaiyah letters easily. The main output of this research is photos and video demonstrations using the Sequential Search method. The Sequential Search method is used to facilitate the search for hijaiyah letters for students in the search for the application using Latin letters, implemented in Gerkatin Kediri city and using Kotlin programming language. The purpose of this research is to produce learning media that benefits deaf students in the introduction of Arabic including hijaiyah letters. The Sequential Search method is used to optimize the letter recognition process in this application. The supporting factor for the method used is logcat from the Android Studio application. Logcat helps the effectiveness of the sequential search method to run as desired. The test results of the search application show the time required to search for several hijaiyah letters with the keyword “Dal” is 0.235 ms, while for the letter Dzal it is 0.274 ms.

Abstract

Currently, there is an urgency for the need for quality animal feed that can meet the needs of all farmers. One way to overcome this is to design an efficient tool to produce quality animal feed. This study aims to design and build an IoT-based maggot dryer to increase the efficiency of the maggot drying process. Maggots, larvae of the Black Soldier Fly, are a potential alternative source of protein for livestock and fish feed. The tool designed uses a DS18B20 sensor to detect temperature and heat the maggots automatically using a Tubular Heater. This tool can be controlled remotely and provides notification when the drying process is complete by utilizing IoT. The method used is procedural development with testing carried out on several parameters such as temperature and drying time. The results of the study showed that the IoT-based maggot dryer is more efficient than the manual drying method because it can reduce the time and energy required, and produce high-quality dry maggots. This tool is expected to help farmers improve the quality and quantity of maggot production.

Abstract

Bawang merah adalah salah satu dari banyaknya komoditas pertanian strategis dan penting di Indonesia, Selain menumbuhkan perekonomian dibidang pertanian bawang merah juga menjadi salah satu peluang usaha disektor makanan, hal ini dibuktikan dengan menjamurnya UMKM bawang goreng. Salah satu proses produksi bawang goreng yaitu proses pengirisan, demi memudahkan pengirisan perlu inovasi pengiris bawang merah otomatis berbasis teknologi modern. Perancangan kali ini difokuskan pada sistem penggerak mekanik pada mesin perajang bawang merah berbasis arduino uno dan sensor ultrasonic, sistem mekanik pada mesin perajang bawang merah ini memiliki komponen yaitu, motor listrik 0,25 hp, 2800 rpm dilengkapi pisau pemotong yang digerakkan oleh v-belt dan pulley, dengan pulley motor 25mm dan pulley pisau 250mm dengan perhitungan putaran pisau 425rpm, panjang v-belt 710mm dengan tipe M-28 yang dihubungkan oleh poros diameter 1,5mm dan terdapat 2 bantalan dengan tipe UCP 204 dengan estimasi jam kerja 553.516,34 jam, dilengkapi sistem otomatisasi arduino uno dan sensor ultrasonic.

Abstract

Corn farmers need a corn sheller machine design with a better working principle and effectiveness than the previous machine. The innovation of the corn sheller machine using an electric dynamo as a source of driving energy is a fairly interesting solution to increase efficiency and accuracy in the corn shelling process. The innovation of this corn sheller tool uses the ex - post facto method because the data obtained by researchers is data from events that have already taken place. Researchers only need to develop existing tools and there needs to be development of tools and materials such as sieves, casings, hoppers, exhaust pipes, electric dynamos, exhaust pipes, frames, pulleys, and v-belts. The results and calculations of this tool are, the planned power is 0.186 kw, the planned moment is 64.70 kg/mm, the shear stress is 3.08 kg/mm2, the shaft diameter is 7 mm, the shear stress on the shaft is 0.0806 kg/mm, with an engine speed of 2800 rpm, after the innovation of the tool was tested 3 times, then the average time was 2.5 minutes, with an actual tool capacity of 43.2 kg/hour. Compared to the previous tool, it could only shell around 20 kg/hour. By using an electric dynamo, it is more environmentally friendly, because the sound is not noisy and the use of electricity is not that large, therefore the innovation of this corn sheller machine is very useful for farmers in Slawe Village.Keywords: Farmers, corn shellers, innovation, electric dynamo, shaft

Abstract

Data and information are important elements in determining the success of an entity in a government agency, especially in the current era of digital competition. Every activity carried out by a government agency produces data that becomes physical evidence of the implementation of the activity. Even though the data is available in government agency systems, challenges arise when the data needs to be processed. The search process becomes difficult and a lot of time is wasted because the amount of data is limited by technological devices. Data and information management is a key aspect in determining accountability in every activity carried out. To overcome this problem, the government issued a policy through Presidential Regulation no. 39 of 2019 concerning One Indonesian Data. This policy aims to regulate the governance of data produced by government agencies, both central and regional, to support development planning, implementation, evaluation and control. This research aims to design an information system that is able to integrate data from various different information systems using RESTful APIs. The research methods used include needs analysis, system design, and implementation. The research results show that creating web-based applications using RESTful APIs facilitates data communication between systems, ensures the availability of clear data, and meets the public data needs of the community.

Abstract

XYZ Airport is a public sector organization operating in the service sector. The vision and mission of XYZ Airport is the realization of the provision of airport services in accordance with standards of safety, security and quality airport services that are reliable and competitive. To make this happen requires commitment from all parties. A good organization must understand and understand the internal strengths and weaknesses of the institution, therefore performance measurement is needed with the aim of knowing the extent to which organizational goals have been achieved and performance improvement. In this study, researchers chose performance measurement by applying the Balance Scorecard method as a strategic tool at XYZ Airport, integrated with the Government Agency Performance Report (LAKIP), which was then mapped into a mapping matrix of Customer, Financial, Internal Business and Learning and Growth Perspectives. From this perspective, weight is given using the Analytical Hierarchy Process method. The results of the measurement of the stakeholder perspective score of 42.5 achieved a good predicate (yellow), the financial perspective score of 15% received a bad predicate (red). 17% of the internal business process perspective received a good title (yellow), then 9% of the growth and learning perspective received a very good title (green). Based on these results, to achieve the goal, airports need to focus on strategic targets that are far from the target, including improving airport infrastructure to accommodate large-body aircraft as a lead indicator for increasing the number of passengers, aircraft movements and increasing PNBP.

Abstract

This research aims to identify potential dangers that exist in the mining process at PT. Putra Mekongga Sejahtera by using the JSA and JHA methods, mitigates potential dangers in the mining process. PT. Putra Mekongga Sejahtera by using the JSA and JHA methods, and implementing awareness of the importance of occupational safety and health at work sites using the JSA and JHA methods. This research uses two research methods, namely Job Safety Analysis and Job Hazard Analysis. The data collection method for JSA uses primary data and secondary data. Meanwhile, the instruments or data collection tools used in this research are interview guides and observation sheets based on the JHA form. So that the results of the interview can be recorded properly and researchers have evidence after conducting interviews with informants or data sources. The results of the research show that accidents that often occur in the mining process are on the hauling line (production line). All accidents occur on the hauling line. The highest cases occurred in June 2022 and resulted in lost work days in May 2023. Therefore, the application of Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) is a tool to avoid work accidents. These potential hazards can be controlled by determining a priority scale first which can then help in prioritizing which can then help in selecting risk controls which is called the risk control hierarchy. The importance of implementing K3 awareness at work locations for company employees must be implemented and given special attention because this is a shared responsibility so support and support is really needed in the company, both from the leadership to the workers in the field.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to find out how the effect of cooling media variations of air, water, and SAE 40 oil on the level of hardness and microstructure of SMAW welding results on ST 42 steel material. The type of research used in this research is experimental research with Quantitative methods. The results showed that the variation of cooling media had a significant effect on the hardness and microstructure of the SMAW welding results. The highest average hardness with water cooling media in the weld metal area was 125.080 Kgf/mm², the HAZ area was 111.375 Kgf/mm², the parent metal area was 129.429 Kgf/mm² while the lowest hardness with air cooling media in the weld metal area was 93.205 Kgf/mm², the HAZ area was 99.806 Kgf/mm², the parent metal area was 121.893 Kgf/mm². Furthermore, the results of testing the microstructure of ST 42 steel from SMAW welding with water cooling media in the HAZ (Heat Affected Zone) area show more and denser pearlite grains, this shows a strong correlation between the amount of distribution and density of pearlite grains with an increase in hardness of ST 42 steel material from SMAW welding, especially with water cooling media.

Abstract

The product supporting the performance of shallot farmers is an automatic shallot plant watering tool used to make the watering process on shallots more effective. The tool automatically waters shallot plants based on the soil moisture level detected by the soil moisture sensor so that the watering process becomes more efficient in watering time and the work saves more human energy and water. The purpose of this study is (1) to determine the effectiveness of the automatic watering tool on shallot plants, and (2) to determine the soil moisture level needed by shallot plants. The method used is a quantitative research method with t-test analysis. The results of the test based on the duration of watering and water usage obtained an automatic watering tool 3.74 s faster than manual watering and an automatic watering tool 5.67 l more efficient than manual watering. This shows that the automatic watering tool for shallot plants using a soil moisture sensor and gsm module is more effective and makes it easier for shallot farmers compared to manual watering for farmers.

Abstract

Sebagian besar masyarakat di Indonesia merupakan petani yang memiliki lahan sawah atau perkebunan untuk menanam berbagai jenis tanaman termasuk bawang merah. Tanah yang bagus dan subur adalah salah satu faktor penting bagi tanaman bawang merah untuk tumbuh dengan baik dan menghasilkan hasil yang berkualitas. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara kepada petani bawang merah di Desa Mlorah Kec. Rejoso Kab. Nganjuk, proses penyiraman bawang merah di Desa Mlorah masih menggunakan proses penyiraman bawang merah masih secara manual sehingga membutuhkan waktu yang lama. Hal ini menjadi salah alasan membuat penyiram tanaman otomatis yang dilengkapi dengan sensor kelembaban dan modul GSM untuk memonitoring pompa dan kelembaban tanah. Penelitian menggunakan model pengembangan prosedural. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah rancang bangun alat penyiram tanaman otomatis berbasis sensor moisture soil dan modul GSM. Alat penyiram tanaman otomatis ini memiliki keunggulan dapat dikontrol menggunakan Arduino Uno dimana sensor moisture soil akan mendeteksi kelembaban tanah, apabila tanah kering relay akan mengaliri arus pompa dan pompa menyiram bawang merah secara otomatis. Alat ini juga dapat dimonitoring kelembabannya menggunakan modul GSM.
