Abstract

In 2022, the number of investors in the Indonesian stock market experienced a four-fold growth compared to 2019. This surge occurred during the epidemic period. This financial research aims to analyze the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the monthly average return and risk pattern of LQ45, as well as the presence of the Sell-in-May-and-Go-Away (SIMAGA) effect and the optimal investment strategy for LQ45. The study uses a descriptive-comparative methodology and employs mathematical and statistical frameworks. The sample consists of LQ45 companies from 1997 to 2022. Data analysis techniques include the Normality Test, Wilcoxon Rank Test, F Test, and investment strategy simulation. The results indicate that COVID-19 did not have a negative effect on the monthly returns and risk patterns of LQ45, except in 2002. Additionally, the SIMAGA phenomenon is not present in LQ45, but the Sell in August-Buy in November (SIABIN) strategy has been identified as the most effective. These findings provide valuable insights for investors in allocating their investments and determining the best strategy for buying stocks. It is important to consider monthly return variance as a key metric for measuring investment risk and its impact on overall returns.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the differences in return and risk performance results of passive and active strategies using the Single Index Model. Then measure the return performance using the Sharpe Index, Treynor, and Jensen's Alpha. This research was conducted on Sri-Kehati index stocks for the period November 2019 to November 2021. Based on passive portfolio strategy research, there are three stocks that form the optimal portfolio, namely BBCA, BBRI, SIDO. While based on active portfolio strategy research, in the first year there were three stocks that formed the optimal portfolio, then in the second year there were seven stocks forming the optimal portfolio, namely BBCA, BBRI, DSNG, INCO, SIDO, SMGR, WIKA. Based on performance measurement using Sharpe, Treynor and Jensen's Alpha indices, the Active Portfolio Strategy is better than the Passive Portfolio Strategy. Meanwhile, based on the difference test using the Mann Whitney U test method, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference in return performance between passive and active portfolio strategies.

Abstract

Pro equality growth is a condition of increasing economic growth with a reduction in income inequality. Data shows that in the last three decades, actual governement debt has increased. The main focus of this study is to prove whether government debt can produce pro equality growth. Moreover, there are two objectives in this study: (i) to investigate the impact of government debt on economic growth; and (ii) to investigate the impact of government debt on income inequality. This study uses panel data from 21 lower middle-income countries between 1989 and 2017. Method used in this study is three stage least squares (3sls). The estimation results show that government debt, has not been able to realize pro equality growth. Government debt can stimulate economic growth, but income inequality worsened. Although debt can be used as an investment in productive activities, the use of government debt cannot increase the accessibility and productivity of the poor. There are direct and indirect effects between government debt and income inequality. On the other hand, there is only a direct effect between government debt and economic growth, and there is no indirect effect through the income inequality pathway.

Abstract

Bank BTN, in supporting KPR financing, requires customers to prepare several documents, including personal identity, financial information, and certificates of title to home/equipment/vehicle ownership guarantees. Efficient storage and management of these documents are crucial to prevent loss due to mismanagement. To enhance services, Bank BTN has implemented a Centralized Document Collateral (CDC) documentation system. This study aims to analyze the CDC system's implementation using the PDCA cycle to evaluate each work step. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected from credit processing units at Bank BTN Syariah Bandung through observations, interviews, and literature studies. The findings indicate that the CDC system significantly improves document management efficiency, with key benefits including reduced document loss, streamlined retrieval processes, and enhanced security measures. These improvements contribute to more effective work processes and higher service quality for customers. However, some obstacles were identified, such as limited technological infrastructure and storage capacity, which require follow-up actions to enhance performance. Solutions like increasing server capacity, adopting cloud storage, optimizing data management can address these issues. The study concludes that the CDC system is a valuable tool in documenting customer credit files at Bank BTN Syariah Bandung, offering substantial enhancements in operational effectiveness and document security.

Abstract

PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Integrated Terminal Semarang conducted this study to analyze the impact of the BAHTERA SEGARA (Bahagia Sejahtera Nelayan Pesisir Semarang Utara) Program, aiming to enhance the program's quality in the future. This research employs the SROI method to measure the impact of all activities carried out by PT Pertamina Patra Niaga Integrated Terminal Semarang within the framework of the BAHTERA SEGARA (Bahagia Sejahtera Nelayan Pesisir Pesisir Semarang Utara) Program. Based on the study results of the BAHTERA SEGARA Program (Bahagia Sejahtera Nelayan Pesisir Semarang Utara), this program has proven to be effective and has a significant positive impact. The program has succeeded in improving the economic, social, and environmental welfare of the target community groups and communities that replicate it independently. Increasing SROI scores from 2020 to 2023 indicate that the program is increasingly effective in delivering benefits, particularly through the replication of food crop cultivation and increased fish processing productivity. The program also contributes to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and supports climate change adaptation efforts. The program's successful replication demonstrates the effectiveness of BAHTERA SEGARA as a collective learning tool, as well as its potential for replication in other areas with similar conditions.
