Abstract

This study aims to analyze and understand the impact of mental health, work-life balance, and organizational support on burnout among employees in the creative industry. The phenomenon of burnout has become an increasingly serious issue among creative workers due to high work pressure, tight deadlines, and demands for continuous innovation. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection methods through in-depth interviews with a number of employees from various creative industry sub-sectors, such as graphic design, advertising, and media production. The results show that good mental health plays an important role in reducing burnout levels; individuals with adequate stress management and psychological support tend to have higher emotional resilience. A balanced work-life balance helps employees maintain productivity without losing motivation and personal satisfaction. Meanwhile, organizational support has been shown to be a protective factor that strengthens work engagement and reduces the risk of emotional exhaustion. These findings reinforce the relevance of the model that explains that burnout occurs when work demands are not balanced with the availability of personal and organizational resources. This research confirms that the synergy between mental health, life balance, and organizational support is crucial for preventing burnout and creating a sustainable work environment in the creative industry.

Abstract

This study aims to identify data on the impact of flooding on the economy of the community in North Samarinda District. This study was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method and employed observation, interviews, and documentation. Key informants were taken from the Samarinda City Regional Disaster Management Agency, and residents affected by flooding in Giri Rejo Belimau Village, Lempake Subdistrict, were the data sources. The results of this study show that the impact of flood disasters on the community's economy has caused damage and losses to the irrigation infrastructure sector and economic sectors such as community stalls, cafes, traders, livestock farmers, and farmers. The role of the Regional Disaster Management Agency as the command, coordinator, and implementer in flood disaster management has been carried out well. Various efforts have been made, such as establishing policies, coordinating, and providing facilities for flood disaster management and flood impact mitigation. Although flooding still occurs when rainfall intensity is very high, the government has tried its best to carry out its duties and responsibilities. In addition, the community plays an active role in working together to clean up trash around rice fields, irrigation/ditches, and planting trees to prevent flooding.

Abstract

In the digital economy era, the competitiveness of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is crucial for national economic resilience and growth. The adoption of digital technology, particularly e-commerce and social media, has become a critical factor in facing disruption and global competition. This research aims to synthesize empirical evidence from the last five years regarding strategies for enhancing MSME competitiveness through the adoption of e-commerce and social media. The study employs a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. Literature searches were conducted in indexed databases such as Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Scopus, and Emerald Insight using the keywords "UMKM competitiveness", "e-commerce", "social media", "SMEs", and "digital transformation". A total of 28 relevant journals, published between 2019 and 2024, were selected through an inclusion and exclusion criteria process. The synthesis identifies four main strategies for enhancing competitiveness: Omnichannel Marketing Channel Integration Strategy, Digital Branding and Community Strategy, Innovation of Digital Platform-Based Business Models for value creation; and Digital Capability Improvement Strategy, which focuses on upgrading the skills of MSME human resources. Key enabling factors include government support, digital infrastructure, and easy access to digital payments. The main challenges faced are the digital skill gap, capital limitations, and cybersecurity. The integrated and strategic adoption of e-commerce and social media has proven significant in boosting MSME competitiveness. Successful implementation requires a holistic approach that focuses not only on technology but also on human resource development, innovative business models, and strong digital ecosystem support.

Abstract

One important indicator in assessing a company's prospects is its value as reflected in its share price, which is generally influenced by profitability and leverage. In this study, company value is measured using Price to Book Value (PBV), profitability is proxied by Return on Assets (ROA), and leverage is measured through Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) as an intervening variable to assess the mediating role of leverage on the relationship between profitability and company value in food and beverage sub-sector issuers on the IDX. This quantitative study involved all companies in the sub-sector during the period 2013–2023, using purposive sampling, which produced 77 samples. The results show that ROA has a significant positive effect on PBV (t-count 4.651 > t-table 2.012; sig 0.000 < 0.05), while DER has no positive effect on PBV (t-count 1.572 < t-table 2.012). ROA was also found to have a negative effect on DER (tcount -2.785 > ttable 2.011). The Sobel test confirmed that DER did not act as a mediating variable (sig 0.171 > 0.05). Thus, ROA and DER can affect company value, but only the relationship between ROA and PBV and ROA and DER were found to be significant.
