Abstract

This research constitutes about the characteristic of WMT with RVGM-based to train Student’s critical thinking skills at vocational high school. The observational problem is how characteristic of WMT with RVGM-based to train Student’s critical thinking skills at vocational high school? This problem is enlightened deep two observational questions. First, what Binds WMT with RVGMbased application example comprising principle wave and magnet that train student’s critical thinking skills? Both of, how patterns to writing WMT with RVGM-based to vocational high school? This research constitutes development research binds textbooks, by use of mixed method exploratory model, which is gathered qualitatives data, then builds draft Physics Textbooks to becomes books validated ready. The subject in observational it is WMT with RVGMbased that can train Student’s critical thinking skills at vocational high school. Meanwhile, its respondent is student braze XI at vocational high school. Data collecting tech is observation, questionnaire, essay, and document. Observational data to be described qualitatively. Result observational to point out that WMT with RVGM-based application example comprising principle Wave and magnet that train Student’s critical thinking skills; and has given writing pattern, which has chapter heading thread, chapter sub title, the breakdown of material, trifling example, summary, ability quiz problem, and literature.

Abstract

Based on the observations by the researcher during being a lecture in S1 degree[G1]  of PGSD in education UNESA, the level students’ participation at the time of lecturing is not as expected. In the previous research, the lecturing activities which have done until mid-semester, the researcher observed 31 students, only a small percentage of students actively participated in the way of asking questions, answering questions, also conveying an idea. In the previous result [G2] [G3] showed that the level of students’ participation in the course less than 35%. Whereas, the researcher expects every student should more actively to contribute either assessment of course participation which has 2 points, equal with mid-term test point (UTS). At least, the target of the researcher is 50% or more than students' participation actively. So, classroom action research is needed. In this research, the observer [G4] applied jigsaw learning model as the basic concept [G5] ofPPKn course particularly. Jigsaw learning model was chosen because the steps used were known be able involve all students as the result that in the course every students will be prosecuted as skilled team activities and work well together independently as well as group to understand the concept or material which being learning, therefore it can move the students [G6] [G7] to participate in the way of asking questions, answering questions, also conveying idea.[G8] [G9] [G10] This research used two cycles which include four steps i.e. planning, action, observation, and reflection. The result of observation and reflection in every cycle, it can conclude the first cycle was successful with the participate rate 64,5% out of 31 students who attend in lecturing. The second cycle was successful reached 73,3% out of 30 students in lecturing. In the research cycle 1 and cycle 2 were reliable. Therefore, cooperative learning model in jigsaw type can improve students’ participation in lecturing.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research. The purpose of this research is to describe verbal and visual physics representation (VVPR) students after using quantum teaching model with student worksheet based on multiple representations on physics learning in class XI Science 1 SMAN 1 Pakusari. The design of this research is using Hopkins cycle. Methods of data collection in this research are interviews, observation, documentation, and test. Data obtained from this research are the verbal representation and visual representation. Data analysis technique is used descriptive analysis techniques. Increasing the capability of representation from each cycle using the formula normalised gain. The results of this research from the N-gain value on pre cycle to cycle III for verbal representation is 0.82 in high category and visual representation is 0,82 in the high category. The conclusion of this research is there is an increase of verbal representation and visual representation ability students after using Quantum Teaching model with student worksheet based on multiple representations on physics learning in class XI Science 1 SMAN 1 Pakusari

Abstract

This article describes the study of simple harmonic motion subject assisted worksheet based on mathematic and graph representation (MGR) for senior high school with learning setting of POE (Prediction, Observation, Explanation). This study is purposed to describe how is learning of harmonic vibration subject by using learning setting of POE with assisted worksheet based on mathematic and graph representation (MGR). This study uses descriptive research method that describes the qualitative research data in the form of critical analysis of the various sources that have been written by the researcher in relevant research. Sources of information obtained from the data observation result, journals, books, or scientific articles. Steps of writing are collecting data through books, journals, scientific articles, proceedings, the internet, observation, and interviews, then the next step is doing the analysis the data as a process of classification, grouping data, and giving conclusions. The analysis result shows that harmonic vibration subject assisted worksheet based on MGR with learning to set of POE for senior high school can make the learning process more focused and more structured also can increase physics learning activity of students. Harmonic vibration subject has thecharacteristic of the subject that does not require a complicated equation differential, so the extends of subject content by using MGR can be implemented in the balance between physical analysis and mathematic.

Abstract

Global warming is a global issue. Eco campus or green campus is the concepts to resolve the environmental problems. The aim of this research is to analyze how eco is your campus observed from knowledge and students’ perception on environmental sustainability education. The methods of this research are cross sectional study and analytic observational. The total of respondents is 160 students who randomly chosen. Respondents have interviewed about their perspectives on environmental sustainability education especially the eco campus concept. The result of this research showed that 134 respondents (83,75%) had known about the information of the eco campus. There were 77 respondents (48,1%) have the negative attitude, 43 respondents (26.9%) have the positive attitude and 40 respondents (25%) have the neutral attitude about the eco campus. The data showed that 91 respondents have poor behavior toward eco campus concepts (56,9%), 65 respondents good enough (40,6%) and 4 respondents have very good behavior (2,5%). The development of sustainable environment should be educated continuously to the higher students to meet the eco campus sustainability to reduce the global warming.

Abstract

In the 21st century, an educational institution needs to consider coverage graduates that success is not confined to academic ability, but more to the abilities and skills that will help graduates to compete in a global and digital world today. An important skill to have in the digital age, such as critical thinking skills, problem-solving, creativity, ability to communicate and collaborate as well as having the ability in information technology. This study conducted to describe the learning outcome and response of students with the use of science teaching material that integrated STEAM education and based on Jember’s local wisdom. The design of development by using a model of ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate). This research has done in MTs. Bustanul Ulum, Jember in class VII A with 25 sample. The results of the validation average of 4.31 by experts 1, and 4.09 by experts 2. The results of students’ cognitive and psychomotor are 73.84 and 91.8. The average score of student’s response is 0.91. It means the teaching materials that developed is very valid, the value of the cognitive is good enough, the psychomotor is very high and the given of response is very positive, so the teaching materials are feasible to implement and this teaching materials can improved performance and student’s motivation to learn.
