Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the effects of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and perceived risk on Generation Z users' intention to reuse the DANA e-wallet in Malang City, Indonesia, based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). Design/Methodology/Approach – A quantitative research design was employed using a non-probability purposive sampling technique. Data were collected from 260 Generation Z DANA users in Malang City. The research instruments were tested for validity, reliability, and classical assumptions before hypothesis testing. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 26. Findings – The results indicate that perceived usefulness has a positive and significant effect on intention to reuse the DANA e-wallet. Perceived risk also has a significant effect on intention to reuse, whereas perceived ease of use does not significantly influence users' intention to reuse. These findings suggest that users place greater emphasis on the practical benefits and perceived risks of digital wallet services than on ease of use when deciding whether to continue using the application. Originality/Value – This study extends the application of the Technology Acceptance Model by examining users' post-adoption behavior in the context of digital wallet services. The findings demonstrate that, among Generation Z users, perceived usefulness and perceived risk are more influential determinants of reuse intention than perceived ease of use, providing valuable insights for digital payment service providers seeking to improve customer retention.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the effects of promotion, store atmosphere, and visual merchandising on impulse buying among H&M Indonesia consumers in Surabaya. Design/Methodology/Approach – This study employed a quantitative explanatory research design to examine the causal relationships among the variables. Data were collected from 160 H&M Indonesia consumers in Surabaya aged 17–25 years who had made impulsive in-store purchases, using a purposive sampling technique. The research instruments were assessed through validity, reliability, and classical assumption tests. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression, while hypotheses were tested using the t-test with IBM SPSS Statistics 26. Findings – The results indicate that promotion and store atmosphere have positive and significant effects on impulse buying among H&M consumers in Surabaya. In contrast, visual merchandising does not have a significant effect on impulse buying. These findings suggest that consumers' impulsive purchasing behavior is driven more by promotional activities and the in-store environment than by visual merchandising elements. Originality/Value – This study contributes to the retail marketing and consumer behavior literature by comparing the relative influence of promotion, store atmosphere, and visual merchandising on impulse buying within the fast-fashion retail context. The findings offer practical insights for fashion retailers by emphasizing the importance of promotional strategies and an engaging store atmosphere over visual merchandising in stimulating impulse purchases among young consumers.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the effects of service quality, facilities, and pricing on customer satisfaction at a billiard bistro amid increasing competition in the recreational entertainment industry. Design/Methodology/Approach – This study employed a quantitative explanatory research design. Data were collected through questionnaires from 90 customers who had used the billiard bistro's services, selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with IBM SPSS Statistics 26. Findings – The results indicate that facilities and pricing have positive and significant effects on customer satisfaction. In contrast, service quality has a positive but statistically insignificant effect. The proposed model explains 73.2% of the variance in customer satisfaction, suggesting that facilities and pricing are the primary determinants of customer satisfaction in the billiard bistro context. Originality/Value – This study extends the application of the SERVQUAL framework and perceived value theory to the underexplored context of the billiard and bistro recreational industry. The findings provide both theoretical insights into customer satisfaction in recreational service businesses and practical implications for managers by highlighting facilities and pricing as strategic priorities for enhancing customer satisfaction and competitiveness.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the effect of service quality on the satisfaction of Generation Z customers using BCA Digital Bank in Malang City based on the five SERVQUAL dimensions: tangibles, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. Design/Methodology/Approach – This study employed a quantitative research design. Data were collected through questionnaires from 100 Generation Z customers of BCA Digital Bank in Malang City selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to examine the effects of each SERVQUAL dimension on customer satisfaction. Findings – The results indicate that, individually, only the assurance dimension has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. However, when examined simultaneously, all five SERVQUAL dimensions significantly influence customer satisfaction. These findings suggest that security assurance, trust, and the clarity of information are the most influential factors in shaping Generation Z's satisfaction with digital banking services, while the combined quality of all service dimensions remains essential in delivering a satisfactory customer experience. Originality/Value – This study extends the application of the SERVQUAL model to the digital banking context by identifying the relative importance of individual service quality dimensions in influencing Generation Z's customer satisfaction. The findings provide theoretical insights into digital service quality evaluation and offer practical guidance for digital banking providers in prioritizing assurance while continuously improving other service quality dimensions to enhance customer satisfaction.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the effect of streamer credibility on purchase intention through the mediating role of customer engagement for the Somethinc brand on TikTok. Design/Methodology/Approach – This study employed a quantitative explanatory research design. Data were collected from 135 TikTok users in Jakarta who were familiar with and had watched Somethinc's live streaming, using a non-probability purposive sampling technique. Responses were gathered through a structured online questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS version 4.1.0.9. Findings – The results indicate that streamer credibility has a positive and significant effect on customer engagement, and customer engagement positively and significantly influences purchase intention. Customer engagement also fully mediates the relationship between streamer credibility and purchase intention. However, streamer credibility does not have a significant direct effect on purchase intention, suggesting that its influence operates indirectly through customer engagement. Originality/Value – This study contributes to the social commerce and digital marketing literature by demonstrating the mediating role of customer engagement in the relationship between streamer credibility and purchase intention within the context of TikTok live streaming. The findings provide theoretical insights into consumer behavior in live commerce and offer practical implications for brands seeking to improve purchase intention by strengthening streamer credibility and fostering meaningful customer engagement.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the influence of store atmosphere on impulse buying among Oh!some customers in Malang City by investigating the mediating role of positive emotion based on the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) theory. Design/Methodology/Approach – This study employed a quantitative explanatory research design. Data were collected through questionnaires from 244 customers who had shopped at Oh!some in Malang City. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to examine both the direct and indirect relationships among the variables. Findings – The results indicate that store atmosphere has a positive and significant effect on positive emotion and directly influences impulse buying. Positive emotion also has a positive and significant effect on impulse buying and partially mediates the relationship between store atmosphere and impulse buying. These findings demonstrate that store atmosphere stimulates impulse buying both directly and indirectly by evoking consumers' positive emotional responses. Originality/Value – This study extends the application of the Stimulus–Organism–Response (S-O-R) framework by providing empirical evidence of the mediating role of positive emotion in the relationship between store atmosphere and impulse buying within the post-pandemic retail context. The findings contribute to the consumer behavior literature and offer practical guidance for retailers in designing atmospheric elements, such as lighting, scent, and store layout, to enhance positive emotions and encourage spontaneous purchasing behavior.

Abstract

Purpose – This study aims to examine the effect of product quality on purchase intention by investigating the mediating role of brand trust in the context of the smartphone industry. Design/Methodology/Approach – This study employed a quantitative research approach using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Data were collected through structured questionnaires from 80 smartphone users selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data analysis was conducted to evaluate the direct and indirect relationships among product quality, brand trust, and purchase intention. Findings – The findings indicate that product quality has a positive and significant effect on brand trust and purchase intention. Brand trust also has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention. Furthermore, brand trust partially mediates the relationship between product quality and purchase intention, demonstrating that product quality influences purchase decisions not only directly but also through the development of consumer trust in the brand. Originality/Value – This study contributes to the consumer behavior and brand management literature by identifying brand trust as a psychological mechanism that strengthens the relationship between product quality and purchase intention in a highly competitive and innovation-driven smartphone market. The findings provide practical implications for smartphone companies by emphasizing the importance of balancing technological product improvements with continuous efforts to build and maintain brand trust to encourage consumer purchase intention and long-term brand sustainability.
