Abstract

Human life cannot be separated from language. Every day, even at all times, humans use language to communicate to convey goals, ideas, thoughts and even desires. In communication, it is very important to use good and correct language, whether communicating implicitly or explicitly. This research uses a literature study method by searching and collecting data from various references. This article aims to pay attention to the language used to avoid communication that is not good enough to not reflect the friendly, polite, polite and civilized character of Indonesian. From the data collected, many social media users use language that is not good and correct in expressing feelings, thoughts and responses to other social media users.

Abstract

Language is an expression that contains the intention to convey something to other people. Something intended by the speaker can be understood and understood by the listener or interlocutor through the language expressed. Indonesian is a language of unity, which means it is a connecting language between tribes in Indonesia. As a unified language, it must have a clear structure using standard words so that it becomes a good and correct language and is easy to understand. Students are people who often interact with other people of different ethnicities. Therefore, students must have knowledge and understanding of standard words so that the communication process is not hampered. However, nowadays many students have low knowledge and understanding of standard words and are more interested in foreign words or slang words combined with Indonesian. Students as agents of change should use standard words in Indonesian so that our unified language can be maintained and preserved and its existence is not replaced by foreign languages.

Abstract

The stages of the Home Experiment method in this research use the guided inquiry stages, namely Orientation, Problem Identification, Hypothesis, Designing & Conducting an Experiment (Home Experiment), Analyzing data and Concluding. This research aims to determine the effect of the Home Experiment method on student learning outcomes in chemical bonding material. This research was carried out at Nurul Falah High School, North Jakarta in the 2022/2023 academic year. This research method is quasi-experimental with a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling technique. The total sample was 64 students consisting of 32 students from class X IPA 1 as the control class and 32 students from X IPA 2 as the experimental class. The instrument used is a multiple choice objective test on chemical bonds with 25 questions to measure learning outcomes. The results of the posttest hypothesis test using the independent sample test or t-test with a level of 5% obtained a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) = <0.01, which means H1 is accepted. Abstract

Language is one of the main reflections of a person's personality. Through language, abstract thoughts that occur in the human brain can be expressed and understood by other people. The thought process embodied in words and language can influence actions, behavior, habits, and ultimately shape a person's character. The method for writing this article is qualitative with a literature study approach. Character formed from good habits will bring success and prosperity, while bad character will lead to failure. Language and culture have a close relationship and influence each other. Language is a part of culture that functions as a means of communication and a means of cultural development. Language speakers develop vocabulary and ways of speaking according to their experiences and cultural values. Therefore, language reflects not only individual personality, but also the cultural identity of society. The relationship between language, behavior and culture attracts the attention of many experts from various scientific disciplines. Some views view language as a subordinate part of culture, while others consider language and culture to have an equal coordinative relationship. In this context, language not only influences the way of thinking and acting, but also reflects the values and norms that apply in society. The influence of globalization on local languages and culture is also a concern. Even though there are concerns about the extinction of regional languages, such as Javanese, the enthusiasm to preserve and develop local languages and culture remains strong. Awareness of the importance of language as a means of communication and cultural identity must be increased to face the challenges of globalization. In conclusion, language structure can influence the structure of perception and behavior, and vice versa. Therefore, an in-depth study of the relationship between language, behavior and culture is needed to ensure the continuity and development of local culture amidst global cultural influences.
