Abstract

One strategy to improve the satisfaction of human resources is to give fair compensation based on the characteristics of the their work. Today in PT Bita Enargon Engineering, all division managers are considered to have the same workload so that they get the same basic wage, even though the workload of each division is not exactly the same. This research will determine the base salary using the point system method. The first step of this method is to conduct a job evaluation to determine the job relative value of each position. The next step is to convert the job relative value to the money value by subsituting the job relative value into a regression equation developed from the result of a survey on the closest competitors. Based on the job relative value, the basic salary for division heads and department heads can be decided.

Abstract

Fundamental weaknesses of the application of Tank Models is on so many parameters whose values should be set first before the model is simultaneously applied. This condition causes the Tank Models is considered inefficient to solve practical problems. This study is an attempt to improve the performance of Tank Models can be applied to more practical and effective for the analysis of the data transformation of rainfall into river flow data. The discussion in this study focused on efforts to solve systems of equations Tank Models Series Composition, Parallel Composition and Combined Composition with the use of genetic algorithms in the optimization process parameters, so that the resulting system of equations to determine the optimal model parameter values are automatically in the studied watersheds. The results showed that the Wonorejo Watershed, Genetic Algorithm to solve the optimization process Tank Models parameter values as well. In the generation-150 showed the three models can achieve convergence with similar fitness values . Testing optimal parameter values by using the testing data sets show that the Tank Models Combined composition with Genetic Algorithm-based tend to be more consistent than the other two types of Tank Models.

Abstract

Plastic waste is one type of waste that can not be broken down into the organic waste. Utilization of waste plastics to be recycled into plastic with better quality are rarely implemented. This study aims to utilize plastic waste in order to improve the quality of plastic products by Taguchi experimental design method that combines the pure plastic material composition of ore and recycled plastic (type PP/Polypropilena) with a certain pressure and temperature to produce a tensile strength of the plastic the better. From the experimental results, btained by a combination of material composition of 30% recycled plastic, the pressure of 6.5 atm and a temperature of 180 °C. The composition obtained by the average tensile strength of 991.667 Newton, and Signal to Noise ratio (Larger is better) by 59, 9255. Statistically, tur ulang he combination was significantly affected by alpha at 0:05 Taguchi method through experiments with a matrix orthogonal array L8 (23).

Abstract

Oil and gas industry is a sector that has a vital strategic role on national development. East Java is one of the province in Java that has an enourmous potential on oil and gas and has not been optimally explored. Industrial cluster is an industrial development concept that comphrehensively organize the relationship and behaviour of stakeholder in industry so that they can co-operate to increase the competitiveness of the industry. The increasing of industrial competitiveness is supported by completeness and contribution of each industry in oil and gas industial cluster in each java by identifying the behaviour of stakeholder and system in this sector which is described in stakeholder model and value chain model. In this research, lubricant industrial cluster is used as an embryo for developing oil and gas industrial cluster. The complexity of the system in terms of system behaviour will be presented in a dynamic system model, which will make it possible to identify the influence between each variables. The Porter’s Diamond model is adapted to model the behaviour of the competitiveness. The result of this research showed that in increasing the industrial cluster competitiveness some variables are significantly influencing then the others.

Abstract

The vehicle routing problem is investigated by using some adaptations of the variable neighborhood search (VNS). The initial solution was obtained by Dijkstra’s algorithm based on cost network constructed by the sweep algorithm and the 2-opt. Our VNS algorithm use several neighborhoods which were adapted for this problem. In addition, a number of local search methods together with a diversification procedure were used. The algorithm was then tested on the data sets from the literature and it produced competitive results if compared to the solutions published.

Abstract

Composite is arranged from material with function as matrix that has weaker characteristic and material with filler function that has a function to transfer force from load in matrix. Plastic has more advantages than other materials;those are, able to be formed finely, light in weight, easy to get and the price is cheaper relatively. However, the problem is the filler that is involved here is still using fiberglass in which it will disturb human health. Alumina dust used here is Merck by particle size of > 0.063 mm, to get nano size then it would be mixed by Mixer Ball Mill for 50 hours and would be measured for dust grain size with particle size analyzer (PSA), then it is dehydrated in the oven by temperature of 80° C. The percentage of nano alumina for each are 1%, 2%, 3%, 4% ,5%,6% and 7%. Furthermore, it is mixed with PP plastic grain that is conducted by internal mixer to ensure the material distribution evenly, then it is poured in hoper in injection moulding machine that is operated in the temperature of 170° C and is injected in sample test moulding. The result of characterization of tensile strength, modulus elasticity and tensile show the decrement by addition of 2–3% of nano alumina in polypropylene matrix.
