Abstract

Diabetes is a serious disease that occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough insulin as a hormone that regulates blood sugar in the body. This disease also has an impact on health. This research builds an Android-based application called Diabetic to help classify and provide information related to diabetes and analyze the performance of the Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency method and the Naive Bayes algorithm. The Term Frequency Inverse Document Frequency method is a technique for calculating the presence of words in a collection of documents by creating document vectors. The Naive Bayes algorithm is an algorithm that uses probability to solve a classification case. This algorithm has an efficient and fast calculation. Based on this research, it is known that the Naive Bayes Algorithm produces an accuracy of 66% by taking a computation time of 39 seconds with a memory consumption of 80 to 351 mb.

Abstract

Penggunaan Data Mining pada Penjualan Sepatu Brand Lokal Menggunakan Algoritma Apriori merupakan sebuah penelitian yang bertujuan untuk menggali bagaimana data mining dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan penjualan sepatu brand lokal. Penelitian ini menerapkan algoritma apriori untuk analisis data penjualan sepatu brand lokal dan menemukan pola yang membantu meningkatkan penjualan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dengan penerapan algoritma apriori dapat dijelaskan pola belanja agar berguna untuk penjualan sepatu brand lokal, seperti kombinasi produk yang sering dibeli bersama pelanggan atau waktu terbaik untuk menjual produk tertentu. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga mengungkapkan bahwa dengan menggunakan data mining, perusahaan dapat mengelola persediaan secara lebih efektif dan meramalkan permintaan pasar, sehingga dapat meminimalkan penjualan yang hilang dan meningkatkan keuntungan.

Abstract

Interesting learning methods can increase children's interest in learning, especially young children. Learning methods using applications on computers, tablets and smartphones are starting to be created according to user needs. One of the Android-based applications that will be created is an English learning application for early childhood. This application consists of a main page which contains material choices, a material page which contains illustrated objects, and a quiz page which is a form of evaluation to train children's memory. The research method for making this application uses the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Starting with planning an overview of the application, analysis, design using Unified Modeling Language (UML), designing the application interface, to creating the application using Android Studio. Testing of the applications that have been created is carried out on several Android-based smartphone devices. The results achieved are that this Android application is able to function well and can be used as an English learning medium for young children.

Abstract

Every year, the e-commerce industry in Indonesia grows and develops at a rapid pace. In Indonesia, many online marketplaces have sprung up, including Tokopedia, Lazada, and Shopee. People are very interested in all e-commerce companies because they are hassle-free and instant. Among the most famous is Shopee, which offers a wide range of services and also presents a ratings and reviews column. This feature allows users to express their feelings about Shopee. Based on the information gathered from previous user comments, consumers can use these ratings to identify and trust both excellent and negative recommendations of the app they want to use. Sentiment analysis results include both favorable and negative user reviews by scoring, classifying, and filtering viewpoints to help businesses or users. The author uses the naïve bayes algorithm in this research. The Naïve Bayes Classifier approach will be used in this research to perform sentiment classification. The author then uses associations between frequently discussed word terms or themes that are related to each other for the extraction and exploration process, as well as descriptive statistics. Naïve Bayes Classifier is a binary classification technique that applies Bayesian principles with a strong assumption of independence, utilizing simple statistical probabilities.

Abstract

The Regional Revenue Agency (BAPEDA) is a government operational support component that carries out financial support tasks in the field of regional income. The author conducted a study of the official travel system while working practically, and at the UPTD PPD North Medan Bapenda PROVSU Medan produced an official travel order application. The author's aim in carrying out this practical work is to support the personnel department in the process of updating employee data including data entry and output. Assist in verifying car number plates and payment of vehicle tax that has just been registered on the e-Samsat application via the website with the branch office. Assist in preparing official travel orders and vehicle transfer reports. After a month of direct practice, the author found many incidents where after discussing with agency superiors, the author discussed the issue of Official Travel Orders (SPPD). The agency will use an inefficient and time-consuming system to handle future cases. because getting permission for official travel requires you to personally navigate a protracted bureaucracy. Therefore, the author used the skills he acquired in college to create an official travel booking system for an agency based on a website, making it easier for the department employees who handle it to obtain permits via the internet only. It can be concluded that students gain new information and experience through practical work that they would not get from face-to-face lectures. A clear picture of the overall scope of activities of an agency is provided through practical work. Additionally, practitioners receive training on how to perform their work with care, diligence, and analysis.

Abstract

Skin is the outermost part of the body's organs which is very susceptible to being influenced by the environment. Besides environmental factors, behavior and lifestyle could also be the cause of skin diseases. An expert system for diagnosing skin diseases can help patients determine the diagnosis of the disease they are suffering from based on the symptoms they feel more efficiently. This system can also provide early detection to patients so that the disease suffered by them can be treated quickly. This research develops a website-based expert system for diagnosing skin diseases in humans using the Naïve Bayes Classifier (NBC) method. The expert system in this research was developed using Shiny Package in R Programming with 10 types of disease and 26 symptoms data. The results of this research show that the expert system has been successful in diagnosing human skin diseases.

Abstract

Stroke is a serious medical condition that affects many people around the world. The ability to predict a person's stroke risk can help in effective prevention, treatment and care. In this study, a comparison between the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms was conducted to predict stroke risk. The KNN algorithm is a method that searches for the nearest neighbors among the data points to be predicted and assigns the most common label among its neighbors. Experimental results show that both KNN and SVM can provide fairly accurate stroke predictions. However, from an operational point of view, SVM consistently performed better than KNN in terms of accuracy and precision. This research provides insight into the differences between KNN and SVM algorithms in the context of stroke prediction. The results can provide guidance for researchers and practitioners in choosing the right algorithm to predict stroke risk based on the characteristics of the available datasets.

Abstract

Improving service efficiency and system management has become a major focus in the higher education environment, especially in the context of helpdesk services. This research explores the application of ITIL v3 (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Framework in the development of helpdesk services at the Business Administration Department at Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews with IT staff, lecturers, and students. The analysis results highlight the implementation of ITIL v3 modules such as change management, capacity management, and service management as a foundation for improving the quality of helpdesk services. The implementation of ITIL v3 Framework has brought significant impact in improving service responsiveness, reliability, and efficiency. The results of this study provide an in-depth understanding of the benefits of implementing the ITIL v3 Framework in the context of higher education, especially in the Business Administration department at Politeknik Negeri Sriwijaya.

Abstract

The proposed office door security system combines RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) Sensor and PIR (Passive Infrared) Sensor technology with Telegram-based communication. The design of this system requires RFID and PIR sensors to be formed in order to produce a system design that is made to meet the needs of system users. The aim of this system is to increase the security level of access to office space by combining identification of access owners via RFID cards and motion detection using PIR sensors. Communication through the Telegram platform is used to provide real-time notifications to access owners when there is activity at the office door. The control system for this device is controlled by the Esp32 Microcontroller, using 4 inputs, namely Rfid, PIR, Keypad and telegram sensors, as well as 5 outputs, namely Selenid Doorlock, Buzzer, LCD, Relay and telegram. By using the esp32 microcontroller to process data and the telegram application for IoT as a link between devices and smartphones. With 2 sensors as logic inputs for the esp32 microcontroller, the number of outputs that occur is 5, namely in the form of a sound from a buzzer as a warning, and a PIR as a sensor to open the door from the inside. When opening the RFID with a card tag, then the selenoid doorlock will open. Overall, the design of this office door security system has the potential to improve security and monitoring in the office space. By combining the technology of RFID sensors, PIR sensors and Telegram-based communication, this system enables accurate identification, real-time motion detection and fast interaction between the security system and the access owner. So that Telegram is successful in sending notifications if someone enters, that is, they will appear. "User Name Open Door: according to the registered UID", but if it fails "Unregistered User Failed Login Attempt" The LCD will also issue an output if someone has registered their RFID tag or not
