The subjects were divided into three (3) groups of fifteen (15), namely yogic practice group, core strength and combined training group. The VO2max (Maximum oxygen consumption) and FEV1 (Forced Expiratory Volume One Second) were selected as variables. The selected subjects were given training for 12 weeks, 4 days a week and 45 to 60 minutes per day with suitable warming up and cooling down exercise. The criterion variables were tested prior to and immediately after the training programme. The collected data were analysed using ANCOVA (analysis of covariance) and Scheffes post hoc test was applied to know the paired mean differences if the optioned ‘F’ ratio was significant. The level of significance fixed at 0.05. After investigate the study, there was a significant difference among experimental groups on selected VO2max and FEV1 parameters.

Abstract

Agarwood is a tree from the genus Aquaria which generally grows in Southeast Asia and South Asia. The Cagar Jaga Nusantara Cooperative is a cooperative that works to promote and preserve agarwood plants as a commodity that produces a positive impact on humans. Apart from empowering this cooperative, this cooperative also directly participates in the processing of agarwood plants, processing various types of derivative products made from agarwood, such as agarwood soap, coffee, agarwood tea, agarwood buhur (incense), agarwood sapwood and distilled water. Activities that have been carried out include training, education and teaching to the team to improve the quality and productivity of 'Herbal Agarwood Tea'. The potential for developing other processed agarwood products, such as soap and distilled water, will be studied further. This has the opportunity to increase the amount of money generated. Businesses will become more creative with this training, and it can open up jobs for the local community. Therefore, it is hoped that business people will become pioneers of Agarwood Products in North Sumatra.

Abstract

Cancer, which is defined by the body's unregulated cell multiplication, is the second-largest cause of mortality worldwide. Medicinal plants have acquired a prominent position in the treatment of countless deadly illnesses, like cancer, due to their natural phytochemicals. Herbal medications are chosen over chemical-based medications because they are medicinally highly active and cause no or few negative impacts when employed to cure ailments. Multiple types of disastrous complications can arise with chemotherapy. Several plant compounds are now being utilized to cure cancer. A wide range of plant species have been demonstrated to be effective against cancer during in vitro experiments, yet their evaluation in humans is in need of an hour. The efficacy of these botanical compounds in managing human tumors needs more research. Multiple in vitro studies using plant-derived compounds have reported apoptotic and anti-proliferative activities against different cancers. This study will explore the anticancer potential of five different plants, along with their phytochemicals.

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to look at increasing the capacity of MSMEs through optimizing the implementation of institutional management towards global competitiveness of MSMEs. Globalization makes competition increasingly fierce among business people throughout the world. The influence of globalization has an impact on domestic entrepreneurs, this condition makes the products they sell compete with foreign products entering the country. Globalization has positive and negative impacts, entrepreneurs are able to adapt in the era of globalization by maximizing its positive impacts. In order to compete with business products from abroad, MSME players must increase their capacity and capabilities. MSMEs play an important role in improving the performance of the Indonesian economy. Increasing the capacity and capability of MSMEs is important for the Indonesian Government in maintaining the existence and increasing the scale of MSME businesses. In order for MSMEs to advance in class, it is hoped that there will be good cooperation between the government, MSME owners and related stakeholders. By increasing the capability and capacity of MSMEs in Indonesia, there is a big possibility that MSME products will be successfully exported. Exports of MSME products will encourage an increase in the scale of MSME businesses which will of course increase income and employment. One of the factors that makes MSMEs successful in moving up a class is the existence of a well-defined organizational structure in their management. Apart from supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of achieving MSME goals, this structure also clarifies job descriptions. Then, to increase the professionalism of business management, institutional management is the implementation of management functions consisting of planning, organizing, directing and controlling in all areas of management. These areas include human resource management, financial management, operational and production management, and finally financial management.

Abstract

Vultures, the most efficient carrion feeders play an important ecological role, but their number is declining at a very fast rate. The study on the status of vultures in Gwalior district was carried out in 2019 which revealed the presence of only two species of vultures, long billed vulture (Gyps indicus) and Egyptian vulture (Neophron percnopterus) in the study areas. A total of 29 individuals were recorded during the study period among which Gyps indicus was abundant in number. As per various study reports there has been a drastic decline in the population of vultures from the past 10-15 years due to many anthropogenic activities, veterinary use of diclofenac (DF), shortage of food and habitat loss. Therefore proper management and conservation measures should be taken to save these natural carrion consumers. This study is aimed at knowing the status and distribution of vulture population in Gwalior district which could enhance the contingent study, valuation will help in establishing the possible reasons for their decline and in turn will boost the steps for their conservation.
