Epigraphy is the study of inscriptions as a data source in the study of history. The inscription on an ancient tomb is part of a study of epigraphy. Tomb Kiai Hasan Maulani have inscriptions that can be studied through Archaeo-Epigraphy approach. Administratively, this tomb is in the Tomb Complex Mojo Kiai, Wuloan Village, North Tondano District, not far from Kampung Jawa in Tondano, Minahasa. The inscription and the Arabic language that serves as a description of Kiai Hasan Maulani, as well as proof of the greatness of Islam in the era. Remembrance sentence contained in the inscription proves that Hasan Maulani is expert remembrance. He is renowned as a scholar adherent Syattariah congregation. The congregation strongly recommends tradition to remember the God at anytime. Kiai Hasan is also known as a national hero. He is a fighter and defender of the rights of the people are seized by the Dutch colonial.Keywords: inscription, zikr, tomb

Burial is one of some activities in human life, which have been doing if someone died. In Indonesia, before the arrival of Islamic influence, the prehistoric people had been practiced the buried activity. And then it have been develop and change. In other site, on the burial site sometime has the indication with two signs; prehistoric and Islamic burial. That facts, we can find in Bawahparit site that have location on Kototinggi District, Limapuluhkoto regent’s, West Sumatera. After we find a hundred up right stones standing on site’s surface, came through excavation we had founded human skeleton from last buried. Those skeletons are setting down in cavity like on grave cavity. It’s putting down in northwest-southeast orientation. Are the burial coming from prehistoric era, Islamic era, or its coming from the transition era? Through the archeological studies, It‘s a problem try to described, analyzed and solved on this paper. Great Mosque of Manonjaya-Tasikmalaya is a historic ancient mosque, heritage from Nagara Sukapura (1632-1901 AD), in the realm of culture heritage objectswhich are protected by the Antiquities Act. This mosqueis a witnessof entrance and development of Islam in East Priangan–West Javawhich is in contact with the regents when they preach Islam tohis people. In this regard, Sheikh Abdul Muhyihad contributed in putting the base of Islam in this region. He,the clericfrom Pamijahan, was a teacher of theregents and their family. He also laid the first stone of the mosque construction from mushola (small mosque). The Change from musholato mosque was initiated by the Regent Sukapura VIII, Kangjeng Dalem Wiradadaha (1814 - 1837 AD). Manonjaya Great Mosque was rebuild in 2010 AD after the earthquake shattered this mosque in 2009 AD. This research is a religious archaeology using contextual interpretative archaeological approach. The purpose of this study was to describe the architecture and utilization of the Dewi Samudera Cetiya Singkawang West Kalimantan. Stage of research conducted by collecting, processing, and analyisis of data using shapes analysis and contextual analysis. The result of this study is that Dewi Samudera Cetiya Singkawang West Kalimantan with three space-type siheyuan built in 1873. The construction of the cetiya is follow general rules of Chinese architectural and feng shui rules. Ornament building patterned fauna, flora, people atau character, symbols geometric motifs objects and natural phenomena. Architecture exist which indicate that the general rule of Chinese architecture, feng shui, and ornamentation of the building is still maintained by the board Dewi Samudera Cetiya Singkawang West Kalimantan. This paper is a short discourse about a literature on theology in Java on 18th and 19th century, that is Bayan al-Tasdiq, one of many literatures on theology in Java. Having analyzed this book, this paper concludes that this book was fully used in the islamic boarding environment in Java at the time, even though the real author was unknown. it was proved that this book has been published in some versions with the same theme of discussion.Keywords: Teology, Bayan al-Tasdiq

Bahjah Bahjah al-‘Ulum is a syarah or interpretation of the kitab As-Samarqandy. As a syarah or interpretation of As-Samarqandy, Bahjah Al-‘Ulum literature could be categorized as the theological books containing of deep discussion on basic concepts of Islamic theology. This textual study endevours to analyse the contents of the Bahjah Al-‘Ulum literature deals with the basic concepts of faith and its theological thoughts. This paper explicates the sufistic thoughts of Syekh Mutamakkin in the text of ‘Arsy al-Muwahhidin, particularly related to the main theme of salat which was viewed from both the fiqh and tasawuf perspective. Through his analysis, it was found that the Sufism foundation of Syekh Mutamakkin, essentially, was synthetical or hybridal form of both Islamic tradition and local (Javanesse) tradition. Consequently, the Muttamaqin sufism can not be doctrinarily classified whether into Sunni or Falsafi groups of Sufism, or neo-Sufism.Keywords: Syekh Mutamakkin, Tasawuf (Sufism), Salat (Praying), Serat Cebolek

Mawahib rabb al-falaq bi-syarh qasidah binti al-milaq is the book of Sufism and the teaching of Naqsyabandiyah school of thought. This book showed us there was any dialogical process of the Sufism development in Indonesia. On this scripts, it was found the turning point of the teachings of both Naqsyabandiyah developed by Syekh Isma’il al-Khalidi al-Minangkabawi and the teaching of Syaziliyah order. That turning point occurs in some aspects of teachings, such as the rabitah concept, mursyid of kamil mukammil, the concept of ma’rifah, the firmness in holding Shari’a, views on Wali Allah. The author, Syekh Isma’il was the follower of the teaching of the Syaziliyah order, besides he was also recognized as he central figure of Naqsyabandiyah order in Archipelago. Moral value, or similarly termed as morality is the pivotal and crucial problem of human beings, since early history of civilization. In a debatable discourse of ethical concepts, Sam Harris through his work “The Moral Landscape: How Science Can Determine Human Values” formulated the new different concept of morality or moral values. He highlights that, in a reality, a science (natural science) has a full capacity which potentially determine human values, including toformulate moral judgment and moral conduct of human beings. Through his critical method, this article tries to describe and analyseSam Harris’s book on scientific morality and critisizing analytically from different perspectives. He highlighted that, in fact, the ideas of scientific morality--which is relative in nature--is not something new. Further, Harris’s theory of scientific morality which based on the scientific principles (rationality, positivity, and facticity), processually, is not perfectly capable of formulating “moral judgment” and “moral conduct” because of the nature of human being itself is multidimensional creature.Keywords: Morality, human values, scientific morality, moral judgment, moral conduct.

Etika diperlukan dalam bidang politik. Setelah dilakukan penelitian secara mendalam dalam Kitab Sunan Abµ Dawµd ditemukan etika berpolitik, yaknipemimpin harus bertanggungJawab terhadap yang dipimpin. Pemimpin dilarang untuk meminta jabatan, orang cacat boleh menjabat, harus dipilih oleh umat, harus dibaiat atau disumpah untuk melaksanakan jabatan dengan baik sesuai Al-Qur’an dan Alhadis. Begitu juga yang rakyat juga dibaiat untuk taat dan mendukung perintah dari pimpinan. Pemimpin dilarang korupsi, menerima hadiah dari siapapun yang berkaitan dengan jabatan. Pemimpin adalah pelayan bagi rakyat, bukan meminta dilayani oleh rakyat, memberikan perhatiaan yang serius atas kesejahteraan rakyat, terutama para fakir miskin, dan mustad’afin. Dalam berperang boleh mengirim pasukan yang umurnya 14 tahun, karena sudah baligh, sehingga beban membela negara wajib ada di pundaknya.Kata Kunci: etika politik, tanggungJawab, larangan korupsi
