Abstract

Since its inception, PT Pertamina (Persero) has experienced many organizational dynamics or changes. ranging from changes in name and status, refining the vision, to restructuring the company. Through a qualitative approach by applying the literature review method, it is interesting to analyze, describe, and discuss further the dynamics or changes that occur in PT Pertamina (Persero), namely restructuring in 2018 to 2021 through the formation of a holding company, as well as the implications in relation to company performance. As a result, it appears that the holding-sub-holding framework as a form of restructuring is an appropriate choice taken by the Indonesian government (as a shareholder) in connection with a series of positive results (in the form of profit optimization and operational cost efficiency) that are quite significant. Because of restructuring, the organizational or operational structure of PT Pertamina (Persero), which was originally so fat and large, resulting in a slow decision-making process, has become lean. This has good implications for the company, which has become faster, more agile and concise in the decision-making process. In addition, there is clarity of authority between PT Pertamina (Persero) as a holding company and its sub-holdings.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the public sector in India, leading to a range of challenges that have required swift and effective responses. This abstract provides an overview of the challenges faced by the public sector in India in responding to the pandemic and the lessons learned from the experience. The challenges faced by the public sector in India have included a shortage of medical supplies, equipment and hospital beds, as well as limited testing capacity and inadequate health infrastructure. Additionally, India's large population and the spread of the virus in densely populated urban areas have created additional challenges. Despite these challenges, the public sector has responded with a range of measures, including the establishment of COVID-19 hospitals and quarantine facilities, the provision of financial assistance to those affected by the pandemic, and the development of innovative solutions such as telemedicine and online consultation services. The experience of the COVID-19 pandemic has also highlighted a range of lessons for the public sector in India. These include the need for greater investment in healthcare infrastructure, the importance of effective communication and coordination between different levels of government, and the need for proactive planning and preparation for future pandemics. Overall, the response of the public sector in India to the COVID-19 pandemic has been a complex and challenging process, but it has also provided important lessons and insights for the future.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the strategy of the Social Service in overcoming the homeless and beggars in Sidoarjo Regency and to describe and analyze the constraints of the Social Service's strategy in overcoming the homeless and beggars in Sidoarjo Regency. This research is based on the fact that there are still many homeless people and beggars on the streets. This research method uses descriptive qualitative, data collection is done by conducting interviews, observation, and documentation. The technique of determining the informants used a purposive sampling technique. The technical analysis in this study is a qualitative analysis type that refers to the theory of Miles and Huberman. The results showed that the Strategy of the Social Service in Overcoming Homeless and Beggars in Sidoarjo Regency related to achieving the goals could be said to have not been fully successful, as evidenced by the large number of homeless and beggars roaming around, but regarding the provision of guidance after a raid by the Satpol PP, there were homeless and beggars who work and leave their previous activities. Meanwhile, the obstacles to the Social Service strategy in dealing with homeless people and beggars are the mindset that does not want to change for the homeless and beggars, a sense of laziness, and disobedience to the homeless and beggars when participating in the coaching program, and also from the people who still give them money to the community.
