Abstract

This February, Indonesia will hold a democratic party to elect members of parliament and the president. Of course, the political and national atmosphere became warm with various political ripples and upheavals occurring, including political campaign activities, both political party campaigns and campaigns for Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates. Various attributes and activities of political campaign speeches are interesting to study from various aspects, including the aspect of language use. This research aims to identify forms of code mixing found in KompasTV YouTube comments. This research method uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data for this research are comments from internet users (netizens) that researchers observed through screenshots from the comments column on the KompasTV YouTube channel. The data comes from the comments column of the KompasTV YouTube channel which contains elements of code mixing. Data collection techniques use listening, note-taking and documentation techniques. Data were analyzed using the Mills and Huberman model through the stages of data identification, data reduction, data analysis, and data presentation. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the code mixing that many netizens do in the comments column occurs at the word level. This is very possible because comments in word form are simpler, more practical and "to the point".

It is also meaningful that this application is suitable for implementation in schools with its main advantage being that it teaches students with learning outcomes that meet 3 aspects of language attitudes, namely cognitive, affective and conative. T he ease of teaching vocabulary and its application in sentences so that students fully understand the language properly and correctly. The limitations of this application require technical requirements, namely the availability of computers/laptops and Android cellphones used by teachers and students who are connected to the internet.

Abstract

This study explores the factors influencing social self-efficacy and alexithymia among adolescents, with a focus on gender, educational level, and sibling composition. A sample of 234 adolescents was analysed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson correlation analyses. The results indicate no significant gender differences in social self-efficacy and alexithymia. However, significant differences were observed across educational levels, with college students exhibiting higher social self-efficacy and lower alexithymia compared to younger students. Additionally, adolescents with siblings demonstrated higher social self-efficacy and lower alexithymia than only children. The study also found significant negative correlations between social self-efficacy and the subscales of alexithymia (Difficulty Identifying Feelings, Difficulty Describing Feelings, and Externally-Oriented Thinking), suggesting that higher social self-efficacy is associated with better emotional awareness and expression. These findings highlight the importance of tailored interventions that address both social and emotional skills, particularly for younger adolescents and only children.

Abstract

The study of Aqidah has been found to be of great importance in the education of students. The scope of Aqidah that allows students to form noble morals will result in them becoming qualified humans in all aspects of life. From the perspective of Aqidah, which plays a role in the formation of human morals, it can be said that humans can avoid despicable morals as a manifestation of the teachings of Islamic Aqidah. The morals derived from the Qur'an and hadith serve as the foundation for the development of spiritual values, which in turn produce quality generations. Aqidah and morals are inextricably linked; noble morals serve as a reflection of a person's personality and can elevate one's status. Moral education can be considered a form of moral education within the context of Islamic education. The objective of this study is to examine the learning of moral creed among students at XYZ School, and to assess the efficacy of this learning in fostering the formation of religious character. The study employs a multi-methodological approach, including observational techniques, in-depth interviews, and the analysis of documentary materials. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of moral creed learning at XYZ School has a significant impact on fostering the realization of student morals. The cultivation of character education is a value that should be embraced as a foundation of nationhood, as it serves as a cornerstone for Indonesian children to cultivate the requisite qualities to thrive as citizens of a nation, in alignment with the character values that are reflective of the nation's cultural heritage.. It is a highly effective approach that enables students to learn how to have morals towards themselves, to parents, to fellow friends, and to the wider community, which can be applied in everyday life.

Abstract

This study looks at how important counseling is for improving the emotional and social health of young children. We evaluated previous research in this area through a review of the literature, highlighting the benefits of counseling in the child's early developmental stages. This study found that timely and targeted counseling interventions in early childhood can improve emotional well-being, social development, and academic achievement. The focus of such interventions is often a counseling approach that is play-based, involves the family, and supports the child's independence. Counseling has also been shown to help young children avoid more serious behavioral or emotional problems in the future. The practical implications of these findings highlight the importance of a holistic approach to supporting early childhood development and highlight the need for investment in mentoring resources at the early childhood education level.

Abstract

The role of education in shaping a qualified and productive generation is of paramount importance. One of the key determinants of educational quality is the leadership style of the principal. This article seeks to examine the impact of the principal's authoritarian and democratic leadership styles on the organizational climate within the educational environment. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research approach utilising a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. The research population consisted of students enrolled at ABC School. The survey instrument was employed to assess the principal's leadership style and students' learning motivation. The findings of this study suggest that a principal's democratic leadership style exerts a positive and statistically significant influence on the organizational climate in the educational environment. In an educational setting under the guidance of a principal with a democratic leadership style, all members perceive themselves to be valued and engaged in an active role in the learning process. Conversely, a principal's authoritarian leadership style was found to have a negative impact on the school environment. This may result in a hindrance of roles and activities within the organizational environment.

Abstract

This study explores students' responses to how the peer teaching method in microteaching lectures can provide teaching skills to become elementary school teachers. The research applied a quantitative descriptive method by analyzing questionnaire instruments distributed to 35 elementary school teacher education students who took microteaching courses in the fourth semester. Data collection used a closed-ended questionnaire instrument and focus group discussions to identify teaching skills that are still needed by students to be trained through peer teaching. The results of the data analysis showed that the average student perception of peer-teaching reached an average of > 4 (figure 1) out of 12 questionnaire questions. This figure indicates a good category. The results of the focus group discussion obtained data that what still needs to be trained through peer teaching is adjusting learning strategies to the learning material and the background of students and eliminating the fear of making mistakes that make them insecure in front of their peers. Based on the results of data analysis, it is concluded that students' perceptions are good about peer teaching and can help them equip teaching skills as prospective elementary school teachers. However, it is still necessary to add skill training through peer teaching about adjusting learning strategies to the material being taught and eliminating self-confidence. From the findings of this study, it is suggested that to prepare the competence of elementary school teachers through micro-teaching courses, the peer teaching method needs to be maintained but it needs to be added to the content of skills that are still needed by students, namely preparing lesson plans.
