Abstract

The problem of low student activity in participating Sociology learning process. The types of activities experienced are: Students pay attention to the teacher when explaining lessons; Willing the students to ask and answer the questions; Students' interest in doing assignments; Courage of students in group presentations; As well as student activities in collaboration. The purpose of this study is to increase the sociology learning activities of class XII IPS 1 student of SMAN 1 Ranah Pesisir using the Differentiated Learning Model for the 2022/2023 school year. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles. Each existing cycle consists of three meetings. The first cycle consists for four stages: scheming, implementing, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study consisted of 29 students of class XII IPS 1. The Techniques used for collecting the data through observations and interviews. The collected data were analyzed using qualitative methods. The results showed that the first cycle of student learning activity was 64.60% and in the second cycle increased 20.66% to 85.26%. An indicator of the success of learning activities in this study was an increase in the average score of students' sociology learning activities from the first cycle to the second cycle. Another indicator of success in this study if the number of students who are active in learning activities in one class reaches 75%.

Abstract

The learning model can support a learning process. However, teachers often pay little attention to this. So that among others resulted in active learning and student learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were Sociology teachers and students of class XI IPS 2 at SMAN 1 Buru. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (CAR), which consists of two cycles. The Classroom Action Research Model according to Kurt Lewin consists of two cycles. Each cycle has four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were students of class XI IPS 2 at SMAN 1 Buru for the 2022/2023 academic year, with a total of 26 students. Data collection techniques used are observation, documentation and tests. Data were analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques. Based on the results of the study, it showed an increase in student learning activity seen in pre-action activities (pre-cycle) the percentage obtained was 19%, the percentage obtained in cycle I was 38%, the percentage obtained in cycle II was 54%. Then, the use of the talking stick type of cooperative learning model can also improve the learning outcomes of class XI IPS 2 SMAN 1 Buru in Sociology subjects. This can be seen from the increase in the average score that has been obtained starting from before the action or pre-action, then there is action in cycle I and cycle II. If in pre-action activities the average score obtained was 66 with a completeness percentage of 42%, cycle I obtained an average score of 74 with a completeness percentage of 58% and cycle II the average value obtained was 82 with a completeness percentage of 77%. In cycles I and II, seeing the activity and student learning outcomes increased according to the researcher's target. So it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model of the talking stick type in the Sociology subject of class XI IPS 2 SMAN 1 Buru can increase the activity and learning outcomes of students in class XI IPS 2 SMAN 1 Buru.

Abstract

Batam City is one of the main tourist destinations in Indonesia, side by side with Jakarta and Bali. Various tourist destinations are available in Batam City such as shopping tourism, sports tourism, marine tourism, MICE tourism, culinary tourism, religious tourism. As an area that was once the center of civilization in the past, Bulang District is one of the administrative areas of Batam City which still maintains the original cultural identity of Batam City. The various cultures and history have the potential to be developed as a tourist destination. However, currently these various potentials have not been utilized optimally. This study used a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. Researchers try to get a picture of the actual conditions in the field and explain it in the form of a description. Retrieval of informants using purposive sampling. The data analysis used is Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The results of the study show that Bulang District has the potential to be developed as a cultural and historical tourism destination. There is a lot of cultural and historical heritage, both Tangible Culture and Intangible Culture. The Jogi Dance from the Basri Beach Studio represents the original culture of Batam City. In addition, there are also historical relics such as the Old Forest of Pulau Buluh, Happy Shop, Jami Nurul Iman Mosque, Samudera Bhakti Temple, Temenggung Abdul Jamal Funeral Complex, Temenggung Abdul Jamal's legacy weapons such as Pauh Janggih Washing Feet, Spears, Swords, Keris, Sundang, Talam and Plates. Aspects of supporting tourism, 1) Road accessibility and communication are well available, 2) Additional facilities are minimal, 3) Additional services are limited. So it needs sustainable planning and development so that the existing potential can be utilized optimally. In addition, synergy is needed between the government and various parties.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low social studies learning outcomes of Grade IXB SMPN 1 Bandar Laksamana students due to the lack of student interest in participating in the social studies learning process using unattractive learning media and for this reason, efforts need to be made to increase students' interest in learning social studies so that learning outcomes can increase. The type of research used was participant class action research. This research was conducted at SMPN 1 Bandar Laksamana, Api-api Village Village, Bandar Laksaman District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The research subjects were Class IXB Students of SMPN I Bandar Laksamana with a total of 25 students. This research was conducted in odd semesters starting in July. The research procedure consisted of four stages namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Research flow adapted from Kemmis and Mc Taggart. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, observations, tests, interviews, documentation, and field notes. The data analysis technique uses percentage analysis. The research results show that the interest and learning outcomes of class IX.B students of SMPN 1 Bandar Laksamana by implementing YouTube video-based learning media have increased from cycle I to cycle II. The observations showed that the student's interest in cycle I reached a strong 20%% and experienced an increase in cycle II to a very strong 60%. This increase means that there is an increase in the character of student discipline by using YouTube video-based learning media from the good to the very good category. This research is motivated by the existence of diverse ethnicities among students at SMA Negeri 4 Batam which have a positive or negative influence on students. This study aims to identify and analyze the impact of inter-ethnic student social interaction at SMAN 4 Batam and to explain the teacher's role in the social interaction of inter-ethnic students at SMAN 4 Batam. The approach used is qualitative with the type of case study research. The research informants were determined using a purposive sampling technique with the following criteria: Teachers, Students, and Student Assistants at SMAN 4 Batam. Data validity tests include credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability tests. Data analysis used the interactive analysis model Miles and Huberman. The results of the study show that the impact of inter-ethnic student social interaction is solidarity between the same ethnic groups, and stereotypes towards different ethnic groups. The teacher's role in inter-ethnic student interactions is to unite students in study groups, hold fashion show competitions, and encourage the use of Indonesian. Abstract

The traditional art of Kayie Dance in Laban Nagari Salido Village, IV Jurai Painan District, the South Pesisir is an identity for the life of the community itself, because this art reflects the activities of the South Coast community who work as fishermen. As a source of livelihood and fishing activities in the southern coastal area, the community believes in the value of life that comes from catching fish in the sea or river. Moving away from the values ​​of life, local artists have created art that is characteristic of the southern coastal area, especially in the village of Laban Nagari Salido, District IV Jurai Painan. The uniqueness of this art is that it combines beautiful and rhythmic movements, and each movement has its own beautiful value. The Kayie dance has its own uniqueness which is created by the dance atmosphere expressed through the dance movements. Kayie's dance has 11 main movements in the dance, starting with the initial sambah movement to the closing sambah movement. There are many aspects of beauty contained in every element of the Kayie Dance art. The function of the Kayie Dance is as a means of entertainment and learning for all levels of society, this is an attraction for the community to preserve the Kayie dance on the South Pesisir.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out how parents perceived the learning system during the Covid-19 pandemic in SMA Negeri 8 Loose students. This study collected data through interviews, observation and documentation using a qualitative methodology. The findings of this study suggest that parents' perceptions of a good answer are that they can hang out with their children to strengthen their bond and personally monitor their children while they are learning. Parents expressed concern that online learning during the Covid-19 outbreak was impacting the quality of their children's learning. Meanwhile, the children's positive responses indicated that online learning was fun because someone was always there to help them when they had assignments from the teacher. The negative response is that students struggle to understand the teacher's assignment. As a result, parents must provide additional encouragement and attention to their children so that their learning activities continue to run smoothly even if they are not in front of the teacher as usual.
