Abstract

White Spotted Wedgefish (Rhynchobatus australiae) is one of the member Elasmobranch family which is categorized as an endangered species. The R. australiae is the main target by fishers in Tanjung Luar and Maringkik Island. This study was aimed to analyze ecobiological aspect and to estimate economical incentive value of R. australiae fisheries in Tanjung Luar. The Total of 616 samples were collected from Tanjung Luar Fishing Port from 2017-2021, consisting of 64 males and 552 females. Total 150 fisher respondents from Tanjung Luar and Maringkik Island were interviewed. R-Studio software was used to estimate the ecobiological aspects based on life history parameters. Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) and Discrete Choice Experiment (DCE) were used to estimate economical incentive. The result show that the average length of R. australiae was 213,12 ± 2,63 (cmTL) which is accordance with the regulation. However, the sample of R. australiae was dominated by immature size fish. The growth rate of female R. australiae was lower and have a longer lifespan than male. The condition of R. australiae in Tanjung Luar waters was categorized as biological overfishing. The value of Total Willingness to Pay (WTP) for R. australie conservation was Rp11.226.000/month, whereby the value for individual was Rp.62.340/person. Education and income are the most significant variables affecting WTP.

Insurance product benefits, price, trust in insurance companies, trust in insurance agents, and perceived value insurance were found to influence life & health purchase decisions too directly. Additionally, multiple factors were found to influence insurance trust. These factors include the insurance company brand, selling practices used by insurance agents, perceived service quality of insurance, and insurance literacy. Furthermore, insurance perceived value was also influenced by other factors such as insurance literacy, culture, and environment. Above all aspects, the insurance agents have direct control over the selling practices, service quality, and insurance literacy that someone experience. Abstract

Financial Literacy has become a strategic national focus in Indonesia and the “youth” group, which includes college students, have become a focus age group for this strategy. However, research have found that the financial behavior exhibited by Indonesian college students is categorized as poor. Research studies have found that financial behavior has an effect to financial well-being, which then would affect the subjective well-being of these students. Thus, this research explored what may cause the financial behaviors of Indonesian college students, and how these behaviors would affect their financial and subjective well-being. A quantitative approach using questionnaire is employed and 305 responses of college students from universities in Bandung City is collected. Then, descriptive statistics and PLS-SEM methodologies are used to analyze each variable and the relationships between them. Among the determinants, only Financial Knowledge is found to affect the Financial Behaviors, and this research does not support the relationship between Financial Behavior to Financial Well-Being. A healthier financial condition is found to increase the frequency of positive feelings over negative feelings in college students. Interestingly, a healthier financial condition is found to negatively influence the life satisfaction of students. This study’s findings contribute to the research body of financial literacy in Indonesia and explore a conceptual model that have not been studied on Indonesian college student. The findings would encourage college students to strive towards getting heathier financially and help policymakers or businesses who are targeting the segment of college students, particularly in Bandung City.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the characteristics of original content that can trigger Subscription Video on Demand (SVoD) subscriptions in Indonesia, identify factors that influence the desire to subscribe or unsubscribe from SVoD, and analyze factors that have no effect on the desire to subscribe to SVoD in Indonesia. This study adopted a grounded theory approach and involved 16 informants from Indonesia as research samples. The results showed that the main characteristics of original content that can increase subscription intent or trigger SVoD subscriptions include country of origin, type of impression, genre, feelings evoked, stories that are close to the audience's life, provide insight or knowledge, and quality. Conversely, shows whose content is limited to a region, has story content that is too heavy, spoilers that have been widely circulated, open endings, and an incomplete catalog of SVoD content are characteristics that are not able to trigger someone to subscribe to SVoD. In addition, the original language in the original content produced and the popularity of impressions on the internet also did not have a significant effect in triggering SVoD subscriptions. Other external strategies and factors that can prevent SVoD subscription cancellations and increase SVoD subscriber numbers involve promoting compelling original content synopses, increasing review activities and public relations marketing activities when releasing new original content in exchange for recommendations, and increasing indirect anti-piracy campaigns. This study provides valuable insights on how to increase SVoD subscriptions through the characteristics of original content and external factors influencing subscription behavior in Indonesia.
