Abstract

This study analyzes innovative learning strategies for Al-Qur’an Hadith based on the Merdeka Curriculum at MTs Al Washliyah 16 Perbaungan. Islamic education faces significant challenges from modernization, digitalization, and learning quality gaps, exacerbated by low technological readiness and the dominance of conventional methods. The research aims to explore and analyze the innovative strategies implemented by Al-Qur’an Hadith teachers within the Merdeka Curriculum framework, integrating local values and the spirit of the Al Washliyah organization. Employing a qualitative descriptive case study approach, data were collected through observations, interviews (teachers, students, vice-principal), and documentation. The findings indicate that the implementation of innovative strategies—including project-based learning (making video recitations of verses), differentiation, utilization of digital media (projectors, interactive quizzes), and the integration of Islamic and local wisdom values (Qur'an recitation, memorization of Surah As-Saff verses 10-11)—has been effective. These strategies successfully enhanced active participation, conceptual understanding, students' reflective skills, and character development in line with Merdeka Curriculum principles. However, implementation faces multidimensional challenges such as limited facilities, varied student readiness, resistance to new methods, and the need for more adequate training and institutional support.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model to improve student engagement in Islamic Education (PAI) for Grade X at SMA Negeri 1 Teluk Mengkudu. The research uses a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through non-participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation from the PAI teacher, Grade X students, and the vice principal for curriculum affairs. The collected data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. The findings show that the implementation of the NHT model, through heterogeneous group formation, numbering, group discussions, and random number calling, increased students’ involvement in discussions, asking questions, and expressing opinions, while also strengthening individual responsibility within the groups. However, the implementation faced challenges such as limited time, dominance by certain students during discussions, and some students’ anxiety or lack of self-confidence. In conclusion, NHT proved effective in enhancing student engagement in Islamic Education, though class and time management need to be improved to ensure more equitable participation.

Abstract

his study aims to determine the influence of productive zakat distribution ($X_1$) on the empowerment of mustahik ($Y$). This research employs a quantitative approach, with data collected through questionnaires and observation methods. Data analysis techniques include quantitative descriptive analysis, normality testing, t-tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the research findings and discussions presented in the previous chapters, it can be concluded that the significance value in the partial t-test is 0.00, which is smaller than 0.05 ($0.00 < 0.05$), and the t-statistic is greater than the ttable ($14.803 > 2.003$). These results indicate that, partially, the distribution of productive zakat has a positive and significant influence on the welfare of mustahik at BAZNAS Medan City. Therefore, the research hypothesis ($H_a$) is accepted. Furthermore, the R-Square value is 0.793, meaning that the independent variable (productive zakat) can explain 79.3% of the variance in the dependent variable (mustahik welfare). Thus, it is confirmed that the distribution of productive zakat has a significant and positive effect on the welfare of mustahik at BAZNAS Medan City

Abstract

This study aims to analyze whether capital and labor partially influence the income of Fermented Glutinous Rice (Tape Ketan) home industries in Ladang Bambu Village, Medan Tuntungan District. The objects of this research are the home industry entrepreneurs in the area. Data collection techniques included observation, documentation, and questionnaires. This study employed a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative methods reinforced by qualitative analysis. The population consists of home industry practitioners in Ladang Bambu Village, Medan Tuntungan District. The sample represents a precisely selected portion of the population, comprising five tape ketan home industries located in Ladang Bambu Village.The independent variables in this study are capital and labor, while the dependent variable is the income of the home industries. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression. The findings of this study are as follows: the capital variable (X1) contributes to the income variable (Y) because the t-statistic > t-table. It can be concluded that capital has a significant partial effect on home industry income, with the positive t-value indicating a direct (one-way) relationship between X1 and Y. Labor also has a positive effect on home industry income, where the t-statistic and the Significance (Sig.) value for the labor variable (X2) are both 3.458. Consequently, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected as the Sig. value is 0.000 (< 0.05). This indicates that Ha is accepted, confirming that labor has a positive and significant influence on the home industry income variable (Y).

Abstract

Student moral decline requires educational responses that extend beyond school and systematically involve families and the community. This study aims to describe a Tri-Center Education (school–family–community) collaborative strategy in addressing students’ moral decline at MTs Alwashliyah 30 Pematang Guntung. The research employed a qualitative case-study design. Data were collected through participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, involving school leaders, Islamic education teachers, students, parents, and community/committee figures as key informants. Data analysis followed an interactive process comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification, supported by methodological triangulation to enhance credibility. The findings indicate that students’ Islamic moral development was strengthened through the integration of character values in learning activities, daily religious habituation, educative disciplinary regulations, reinforcement of the PPRA program, and character-oriented extracurricular activities. Collaboration across school–parents–community was operationalized through two-way communication, coaching forums, community engagement in religious activities, and persuasive social monitoring. Overall, the collaborative strategy facilitated positive behavioral change and helped establish a consistent moral-development ecosystem for students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji proses pembelajaran Kitab Arba’in Nawawiyah di MTs Alwashliyah Petumbukan, serta mengevaluasi penerapan nilai-nilai hadis dalam pembentukan karakter siswa dan mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi guru dalam proses pengajaran. Kitab Arba’in Nawawiyah, karya Imam Nawawi, berisi 42 hadis yang mencakup aspek akidah, ibadah, akhlak, dan muamalah, dan memiliki potensi besar dalam membentuk karakter Islami siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Kitab Arba’in Nawawiyah dilakukan dengan strategi kooperatif, inquiry-based learning, dan metode diskusi yang mendorong keterlibatan aktif siswa. Metode seperti think-pair-share, diskusi kelompok, dan eksplorasi topik dunia nyata memungkinkan siswa tidak hanya menghafal hadis, tetapi juga menginternalisasi dan mengaplikasikan nilai-nilainya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penerapan nilai-nilai hadis berkontribusi signifikan terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa, khususnya dalam hal keikhlasan, tutur kata yang baik, pengendalian amarah, dan rasa malu sebagai bagian dari iman. Nilai-nilai ini memperkuat integrasi ajaran Islam dalam sikap dan perilaku siswa secara nyata. Namun, proses pembelajaran menghadapi berbagai tantangan, seperti kesulitan siswa dalam mengimplementasikan nilai-nilai spiritual, pengaruh negatif teknologi digital, lingkungan sosial yang kurang mendukung, serta keterbatasan waktu dan perbedaan pemahaman agama antar siswa. Faktor-faktor ini memengaruhi efektivitas pembelajaran dan menuntut pendekatan yang lebih kontekstual dan adaptif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas program Muraja'ah Malam berbasis WhatsApp dalam meningkatkan hafalan Al-Qur'an siswa di SD Plus Jabal Rahmah Mulia Medan. Program ini memanfaatkan teknologi WhatsApp untuk membantu siswa mengulang hafalan Al-Qur'an di luar jam sekolah, memungkinkan mereka untuk tetap mendapatkan bimbingan guru meskipun berada di rumah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang dilakukan terhadap guru Tahfidz, siswa kelas V yang aktif berpartisipasi dalam program ini, serta kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program muraja'ah malam berbasis WhatsApp efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas hafalan Al-Qur'an siswa. Program ini memberi fleksibilitas dalam proses belajar, memungkinkan siswa untuk tetap mengulang hafalan di rumah dengan bimbingan langsung melalui pesan suara. Namun, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi beberapa kendala, seperti kelelahan siswa setelah aktivitas harian, kurangnya motivasi sebagian siswa, dan keterbatasan pengawasan orang tua, yang dapat mempengaruhi efektivitas program. Program ini juga terbukti berhasil dalam menciptakan kebiasaan belajar yang konsisten, serta meningkatkan interaksi antara guru dan siswa. Oleh karena itu, meskipun ada tantangan dalam penerapannya, hasil penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi pengembangan metode pembelajaran tahfidz berbasis teknologi, khususnya penggunaan aplikasi WhatsApp dalam pembelajaran jarak jauh.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji penerapan teknik self-healing dalam mendukung pemulihan mental siswa pasca stres akademik di SMP Swasta Al-Fityan Medan. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami stres akademik yang bersumber dari beban belajar yang tinggi, target hafalan Al-Qur’an yang ketat, serta tuntutan adaptasi terhadap sistem pendidikan integratif antara umum dan agama. Manifestasi stres tampak dalam bentuk gangguan biologis, tekanan psikologis, dan penurunan motivasi belajar, terutama pada siswa kelas atas. Dalam menghadapi tekanan tersebut, siswa menerapkan teknik self-healing melalui pendekatan psikologis modern seperti mindfulness dan expressive writing, serta pendekatan spiritual Islam seperti shalat, dzikir, doa, membaca Al-Qur’an, sabar, dan tawakkal. Teknik mindfulness dilakukan secara intuitif melalui latihan pernapasan dan pencarian ruang tenang, sementara expressive writing menjadi sarana ekspresi emosi yang tidak terungkap secara verbal. Pendekatan spiritual terbukti menjadi fondasi utama dalam membangun ketenangan batin dan regulasi emosi. Selain itu, dukungan sosial dari teman, guru, dan keluarga memainkan peran signifikan dalam proses pemulihan mental siswa. Dukungan ini hadir dalam bentuk emosional, instrumental, penghargaan, dan informasional, yang secara sinergis memperkuat efektivitas self-healing mandiri. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan integrasi pendekatan self-healing dan dukungan sosial dalam strategi pemulihan mental siswa di lingkungan pendidikan berbasis integratif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi yang digunakan oleh guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk meningkatkan minat belajar siswa Generasi Z di SMP Swasta Al Fityan School Medan. Seiring dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi, karakteristik siswa Generasi Z yang merupakan digital natives memerlukan penyesuaian pendekatan pengajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi strategi yang diterapkan oleh guru PAI dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi, seperti presentasi multimedia, video pembelajaran, dan aplikasi pembelajaran interaktif, guna membuat pendidikan agama lebih menarik dan relevan bagi siswa saat ini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, yang berfokus pada pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi di SMP Swasta Al Fityan School Medan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi yang digunakan meliputi pemanfaatan video pembelajaran, aplikasi interaktif seperti Kahoot dan Quizizz, game edukasi, serta pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Strategi ini terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan empat indikator minat belajar: perasaan senang, ketertarikan, keterlibatan aktif, dan perhatian siswa. Namun, implementasi strategi ini menghadapi beberapa kendala, antara lain keterbatasan kompetensi guru dalam penguasaan teknologi, koneksi internet yang tidak stabil, keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran, serta tantangan disiplin digital siswa.

Abstract

The quality of education, particularly in Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia, still faces challenges such as inefficient management and suboptimal integration of religious values. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic-based performance management at MIS Cendekia Insani Al Washliyah, identifying its supporting and hindering factors. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach with a case study method, the research was conducted over six months. Data collection involved participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation with the principal, teachers, and educational staff. Data analysis followed the interactive model by Miles and Huberman. The findings reveal that the implementation of Islamic-based performance management has integrated values such as amanah (trustworthiness), ihsan (excellence), and tawakkal (reliance on God) into the daily work culture, driven by exemplary leadership, a religious organizational culture, and routine spiritual development programs. This contributes to improved educational quality, teacher discipline, and a conducive religious atmosphere. However, challenges include a lack of collective consistency in value internalization, a high administrative workload that can shift focus from quality, and the absence of explicit integration of spiritual values in formal evaluation and reward systems. The study suggests developing performance indicators based on Islamic values and a holistic reward system for optimal implementation.
