Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of podcast-based learning media on junior high school students’ speaking skills. The research employed an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The subjects were divided into two groups: the experimental class, which used podcast media, and the control class, which applied conventional methods. The findings revealed that before the treatment, students’ speaking skills in both groups were relatively similar, with an average pretest score of 62.5 in the experimental class and 61.8 in the control class. After the treatment, the experimental class showed a significant improvement with an average posttest score of 80.3, while the control class only reached 70.1. The greatest improvement in the experimental class was observed in fluency and confidence, followed by vocabulary and pronunciation.The t-test results indicated a significant difference (p < 0.05) in all aspects of speaking skills between the experimental and control classes. Therefore, it can be concluded that podcast-based learning media has a positive and significant effect on improving junior high school students’ speaking skills.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the work environment and work motivation on employee performance at PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) in Medan City. The objectives to be achieved in this study are: 1) To determine the impact of the work environment on employee performance at PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Syariah in Medan City, 2) To determine the work motivation of employees at PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Syariah in Medan City. The research method used is the quantitative method. The population in this study is the employees of PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Syariah Kota Medan. The determination of the research sample uses the saturated sampling technique, where the sample is the entire population. The sample in this study consists of 35 respondents. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire. The independent variables are the work environment and work motivation, while the dependent variable is employee performance at PT. Bank Tabungan Negara PT. Persero (Syariah) Medan City. The data analysis technique uses classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression tests, and t-tests. The results of this study indicate that: 1) Partially, the work environment does not have a positive and significant effect on employee performance 2) Partially, work motivation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The implication of this research is the presence of cleanliness and good workplace environment observers to ensure that the tasks assigned to employees are carried out well, and it is expected that with the presence of work motivation, employee morale within an organization will improve.

Abstract

The animated film Jumbo (2025) conveys strong moral messages on social issues such as bullying, self-esteem, and the importance of social and familial support. This study aims to analyze the moral messages in the film using Bandura’s Social Learning Theory, focusing on the four key concepts: observation, imitation, reinforcement, and cognitive evaluation. A descriptive qualitative approach was used to explore and describe the moral meanings taught through the character Don, who faces bullying and other social challenges. The research findings show that the film effectively portrays how Don learns values such as anti-bullying, integrity, empathy, moral courage, and cooperation through social interactions and observing the behaviors of those around him. In conclusion, Jumbo functions not only as entertainment but also as an effective educational medium for teaching moral values to teenagers and can contribute to character education in Indonesia.

Abstract

A father plays a crucial role as a role model in shaping the character and personality of children, as well as in creating a harmonious family environment. This paper examines the role of the father from the perspective of the Qur'an, emphasizing the importance of leadership, responsibility, and moral exemplarity. Through the family education of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), the article analyzes how Prophet Ibrahim (AS) demonstrated adherence to Allah (SWT), patience, justice, and compassion, which significantly shaped the values within his family. A descriptive-analytical approach is employed to analyze relevant Qur'anic verses and traditions. The findings of this study show that the Qur'an emphasizes the father's role not only as the provider but also as the primary spiritual and moral guide. The example set by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) provides practical guidance for modern fathers in fulfilling their roles as effective role models. The phenomenon of fatherlessness in Indonesia, such as children who lose their fathers due to death, divorce, or fathers who are emotionally absent because of being preoccupied with work, and the impact of patriarchal culture that traditionally divides caregiving roles, exacerbates this issue. This situation leads to psychological problems for children, such as confusion, and negative behaviors such as juvenile delinquency or involvement in harmful activities, including actions that violate social norms and laws, such as brawling, drug abuse, theft, promiscuity, smoking, and truancy. Such delinquency may arise from internal factors such as mental disorders and low self-esteem, as well as external factors such as peer influence and family environment. The impact can damage adolescents' mental health, education, and social relationships, even leading to serious legal issues. Prevention and intervention require the attention of parents, religious education, guidance at school, and counseling. Therefore, the presence of fathers in family education is essential, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) as the Founding Father, whose role can be emulated in family life.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the policies of Village-Owned Enterprises and the development of halal tourism that affect the increase in community income. This study uses quantitative methods. The data used in this study are questionnaire data (questionnaires) which are processed into research results. This study uses a total sampling technique and the population in this study were traders at the Aek Milas tourist attraction in Huta Raja village, totaling 33 traders. Among them are garbage stall traders, soto stalls, lontong stalls, warmindo (Indomi food stalls), coffee, and fried food sellers. Analysis of research data using multiple linear regression. The results of the study show that Based on the results of the partial test analysis (t-test) the effect of the BUMDes policy variable (X1) on the variable of increasing community income (Y) with a t count value of -2.480 t table 1.697 and a significance level of the BUMDes policy variable (X1) 0.019 <0.05. The results show that the BUMDes policy variable (X1) partially has a significant and negative effect on the variable of increasing community income (Y) of Aek Milas Dano Hutaraja Hot Springs. Based on the results of the partial test analysis (t-test) the effect of the halal tourism development variable (X2) on the variable of increasing community income (Y) with a calculated t value of 7.369> t table 1.697 and a significance level of the halal tourism development variable (X2) 0.000 <0.05. The results show that the halal tourism development variable (X2) partially has a significant and positive effect on the variable of increasing community income (Y) of Aek Milas Dano Hutaraja Hot Springs.

Abstract

Jarangan Village is located in the Rejoso District of Pasuruan Regency. According to local government statistics, Jarangan Village is considered one of the least developed villages. However, in terms of its true potential, Jarangan Village possesses sufficient natural resources and human resources to become a thriving village. The community service team selected Jarangan Village as the location for this community service project, demonstrating the academics' commitment to village development. Several programs focused on developing local potential and strengthening competitiveness through social innovation, the creative economy, and digital transformation, all three of which are important but lacking in Jarangan Village, Rejoso District, Pasuruan Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the transformation of the 21st-century Islamic education curriculum through the integration of subject-centered, student-centered, and problem-centered models, to form an insan kamil with character and adaptability. This study is a descriptive qualitative study based on a literature review, which examines various scientific literature related to the basic principles and design models of curriculum development, and the integration of Islamic values within them. Data were collected through a literature review of books, journal articles, and scientific publications. Data were analyzed through data reduction, theme classification, narrative presentation, and conclusion drawing using source triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The results indicated that an Islamic education curriculum relevant to 21st-century demands must be based on the principles of relevance, flexibility, continuity, efficiency, and effectiveness, as well as the integration of subject-centered, student-centered, and problem-centered models. The integration of these three curriculum models results in a comprehensive learning design that balances cognitive, affective, and spiritual aspects. The Islamic education curriculum must be integrative and transformative to produce an insan kamil who is tolerant, creative, and contributes positively to global civilization based on the values ??of rahmatan lil 'alamin (blessing for the universe).

Abstract

In order to facilitate students who have greater memorization abilities, MTs Muallimin Univa Medan created a special class called the future tahfiz quran class. This class is gathered from grade VII students who have the best memorization abilities from other students and combined into one class called the future tahfiz quran class. This class has different tahfiz targets and programs from other classes. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach implemented at MTs Muallimin Univa Medan. The subjects of this study are the future tahfiz quran class, and the sources are WKM in the curriculum field, tahfiz coordinator and tahfiz teacher of the future tahfiz quran class. The data collection techniques in this study use observation, interviews, and documentation. The data collected through the stages of data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study explain that the tahfiz quran class is a special class formed for students who have greater memorization abilities. Furthermore, the memorization program and objectives of this future Quran memorization class differ from those of other classes. The advantages of this class compared to other classes are the quantity of memorization, the quality of memorization, and the quality of recitation. However, the disadvantages and challenges encountered during the program's implementation are time allocation and the students' circumstances. Therefore, it can be concluded that this future Quran memorization class program can help students improve memorization and maintain the quality of their memorization and recitation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation, infrastructure, and evaluation of religious program management at Raudhatul Athfal (RA) Faturrahman, focusing on its role in shaping the religious personality of early childhood. Employing a qualitative approach through a case study methodology, the research was conducted at RA Faturrahman in North Sumatra, involving the Principal, teachers, and parents as key subjects. Data were collected using participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model, with findings verified through triangulation. The study results indicate that the structured and systematic management of religious programs has a positive and significant impact on the formation of children's religious character. This impact is evidenced by improvements in aspects such as worship (independent prayer and shalat), morals (politeness and honesty), social awareness, and religious knowledge. The critical success factors identified are the consistent role modeling by teachers and a strong synergy between the school and families, with dual support enhancing the children's character development. Furthermore, the most effective learning methods are storytelling (especially when enhanced with visual media) and play-based learning. While the availability of adequate infrastructure positively correlates with program optimization, the CIPP evaluation identified several key challenges: low teacher competency (with nearly half still relying on conventional methods), partial parental involvement, and the pervasive negative influence of media. The institution must address these through solutions such as continuous teacher training and intensified communication with parents to sustain and maximize program outcomes. This research concludes that the optimal management of religious programs serves as a crucial long-term investment in cultivating a generation endowed with a strong religious character.
