Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Guidance and Counseling (G&C) as a means of strengthening students’ social character in Social Studies (IPS) learning at SMP Swasta Kristen BNKP Teluk Dalam. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach, involving G&C teachers, IPS teachers, and students as key informants. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed thematically to identify the contribution of G&C in developing students’ social character. The findings reveal that G&C services play a significant role in shaping students’ social values, including empathy, tolerance, cooperation, responsibility, and positive interpersonal skills. The integration of G&C services with IPS learning enhances the internalization of social character through real social experiences in classrooms and group activities. Factors supporting the effectiveness of G&C include the competence of G&C teachers, collaboration among teachers and school staff, varied counseling methods, and active student participation. However, challenges such as limited service time and varied student responses need to be addressed for optimal program development. This study confirms that G&C is not only a medium for addressing personal issues but also a strategic tool for developing students’ social character. The findings can serve as a reference for schools in designing integrated G&C programs within IPS learning to foster students who are academically competent and socially responsible.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the differences in characteristics, advantages, and limitations between traditional and modern marketing methods, as well as to identify their implications for the formulation of effective business strategies. The research employs a literature review method with a qualitative analytical approach. Data were collected from various scholarly sources, including journals, books, and relevant academic articles, in order to provide a comprehensive theoretical foundation. The findings indicate that modern digital-based marketing offers several advantages, such as broader market reach, more targeted segmentation capabilities, real-time two-way interaction, cost efficiency, and easier performance evaluation through data analytics. In contrast, traditional marketing continues to play a significant role in building emotional connections, enhancing brand credibility, and reaching consumers in specific regions or segments that have not been fully exposed to digital technology. These findings suggest that each method holds complementary strategic value. The study underscores that the synergistic integration of traditional and modern marketing approaches can create more adaptive and competitive strategies. Therefore, business practitioners should align their strategic choices with target market characteristics, organizational objectives, and technological developments to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan strategi investasi sumber daya manusia (SDM) dan dampaknya terhadap produktivitas sektor ekonomi di Indonesia, serta mengidentifikasi tantangan dan kesenjangan dalam implementasinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan analisis data sekunder dari berbagai sumber resmi seperti Badan Pusat Statistik, kementerian terkait, dan lembaga internasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi investasi SDM di Indonesia meliputi pengembangan pendidikan formal, pelatihan vokasi, peningkatan kompetensi digital, dan perbaikan layanan kesehatan. Dampak positif tercermin dari peningkatan Indeks Pembangunan Manusia (IPM), produktivitas tenaga kerja di sektor industri dan jasa, serta daya saing nasional yang lebih baik. Namun, terdapat sejumlah tantangan, antara lain ketimpangan akses antardaerah, ketidaksesuaian kompetensi dengan kebutuhan industri, terbatasnya peran sektor swasta, dan fragmentasi kebijakan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan peningkatan pemerataan akses, penguatan kemitraan antara pendidikan dan industri, optimalisasi peran sektor swasta, dan integrasi sistem dan tata kelola berbasis data untuk meningkatkan efektivitas investasi SDM di Indonesia. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi acuan bagi para pembuat kebijakan dalam merancang kebijakan pengembangan SDM yang lebih inklusif dan produktif.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the problems faced by Al-Qur’an Hadith teachers in overcoming students’ difficulties in reading the Qur’an among seventh-grade students at MTs Al Munawwarah, Jambi City, and their impact on the effectiveness of Economics learning. Using a descriptive qualitative method, data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the main problems include the heterogeneity of students’ educational backgrounds, limited teaching staff, insufficient time allocation, and low students’ learning motivation. These conditions significantly affect Economics learning, where students experience cognitive barriers in understanding Islamic Economics materials based on naqli sources. The inability to read the Qur’an leads to ineffective internalization of muamalah values and hinders the achievement of the Economics curriculum. The efforts made by teachers include class grouping based on students’ abilities (differentiation), the implementation of additional tahsin/tahfidz programs, and intensive guidance outside school hours. This study concludes that strengthening Qur’anic literacy is an essential prerequisite for improving students’ enthusiasm and understanding in Economics subjects integrated with Islamic values
