Abstract

This paper presents the results of a study in the book of Hidāyatul ‘Awām, a work of Muḥammad ‘Alwī ibn ‘Abdullāh Khaṭīb Endah al-Kamfāri, a cleric in Riau Mainland, a region of the Malay, which predominantly has not been much studied than the Riau Islands. Through the study of the book and some other works, this paper confirms that neo-sufism that has been pioneered by the scholars in the second half of the seventeenth century continued into the following centuries, especially in Kampar in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century. The moderation values of the books are in line with their neo-sufism movement. This study concludes that the Hidāyatul ‘Awām incorporates moderate characters in the mystical (tasawuf) practices which strongly recommend a student to pay attention to the balance between the views of sufi master and sharia experts. Likewise, the practice in drawing close to Allah (taqarrub) combines the riyāḍah al-abdān (physical training) taught by al-Ghazālī and riyāḍah al-qulūb (spiritual training) taught within the Shadhiliyah sufi order. Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil studi terhadap kitab Hidāyatul ‘Awām karya Muḥammad ‘Alwī ibn Khaṭīb Andah al-Kamfāri, seorang ulama di Riau Daratan, sebuah wilayah Melayu Riau yang belum banyak dikaji ketimbang Riau Kepulauan. Melalui studi atas kitab tersebut dan beberapa karya lainnya, tulisan ini membuktikan, bahwa gerakan neo-sufisme yang telah dirintis oleh para ulama pada paroh kedua abad XVII terus berlanjut ke abad-abad berikutnya, terutama di Kampar pada akhir abad XIX dan awal abad XX. Nilai moderasi yang ada dalam kitab tersebut sejalan dengan gerakan neo-sufisme yang mereka usung. Hasil kajian ini menyimpulkan, bahwa kitab Hidāyatul ‘Awām mengandung karakter moderat dalam praktik tasawufnya, yakni sangat menganjurkan seorang murid untuk memperhatikan keseimbangan antara pandangan ahli tasawuf dan ahli syariat. Demikian juga praktik dalam taqarrub kepada Allah SWT. menggabungkan antara riyāḍah al-abdān yang diajarkan oleh al-Ghazālī dengan riyāḍah al-qulūb yang diajarkan dalam tarikat Shadhiliyah. Abstract

This paper presents the research results revealing the meaning of the poem of Pajaga dance, in order to be a provision for people to fall in love again to the local culture. This is a qualitative research conducted by interviews, observation, and literature study. Pajaga dance poem was analyzed by critical discourse analysis. The study finds out that the poem contains divinity values and moral messages in the intimate poem sentences such as: Ininnawa mapatakko, Alai pakkawaru, and Toto tellesanmu. The word Ininnawa represents the aspects of morality with a message to the man to aspire and work hard. While the meaning of the word toto is representing the power of God's will. The divinity and moral values are closely intertwined in the poem of Pajaga danceas to demonstrate that a strong expression of Godliness will bear a strong moral stance, namely a positive attitude to be a good human being, a human who keep themselves from moral turpitude. Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil penelitian yang mengungkap makna syair tari pajaga, agar menjadi bekal bagi masyarakat untuk jatuh cinta kembali kepada budaya lokalnya. Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif yang dilakukan dengan wawancara, observasi, dan studi pustaka. Syair tari pajaga dianalisis dengan teknik analisis wacana kritis. Dari syair tersebut tampak jelas adanya nilai ketuhanan dan moral dalam kalimat syair yang begitu intim seperti dalam bait: Ininnawa mapatakko, Alai pakkawaru, Toto tellesanmu: Kata ininnawa mewakili aspek moralitas dengan pesan kepada manusia untuk bercita-cita dan berkerja keras. Sedangkan kata toto adalah mewakili makna kekuasaan takdir Tuhan. Demikian jelasnya persandingan Tuhan dan moral yang terangkai dalam syair tari pajaga, sebagai sebuah kesungguhan untuk menunjukkan, bahwa ekspresi kebertuhanan yang kuat akan melahirkan sikap moral yang kuat pula, yakni sikap positif untuk menjadi manusia yang baik, manusia yang memelihara diri dari perbuatan tercela. Kata Kunci: Tari Tradisional, Syair Tari Pajaga, nilai ketuhanan, nilai moral.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluating the implementation of Islamic religious education (PAI) in Public Higher Education. This research conducted at the Hasanuddin University, Makassar, South Sulawesi, by employing qualitative method. Data was collected by interviews and document analysis. The results of this study show that: (a) Universities need to develop a curriculum of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) that are tailored to local needs and conditions of the society, (b) PAI lecturer competence require for improvement through workshop and training programs, (c) the students continue to consider that PAI subject is unattractive, (d) mentoring activities which related to Islamic studies have shown a positive impact in ‘enriching and coloring’ Islamic life on campus, and (e) there is a significant needs for upgrading the multimedia devices for PAI teaching and learning process. Penelitian dilakukan di Universitas Hasanuddin Makassar dengan metode kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (a) Perguruan Tinggi perlu mengembangkan kurikulum Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan dan kondisi lokal masyarakat, (b) kompetensi dosen PAI belum maksimal, perlu peningkatan kualitas melalui penyelenggraan Diklat Dosen PAI, (c) mahasiswa masih menganggap perkulihan PAI tidak menarik, (d) kegiatan mentoring memiliki dampak positif dalam mewarnai kehidupan keislaman di kampus, dan (e) sarana multimedia untuk pembelaajran PAI perlu ditingkatkan. Abstract

This paper attempts to answer the question of what are the concept of religion served by the state according the public, service issues encountered and how the state responses to the handle the issues. Data were collected through interviews, observation and document analysis. The results of the study are; firstly, according to underserved communities, the concept of religion does not necessarily meet all elements required by the state as the recognize religion, such as God, Prophet, and Holly Book. However, it need to meet the most essential elements, namely the belief system in God Almighty, ritual system or religious practice, formal religious institutions, and the recognition of community by registering to the government agency. Secondly, services related problems for the local religious believers of Marapu is related to the resident administration that rooted in the formal existence of the Marapu faith itself, such as a marriage certificate, ID card, family card, educational services and worship establishment registration. Thirdly, local government has already responded and seek improvementfor the system and submit a proposal to the central government as the appropriate authority. Tulisan ini berupaya menjawab pertanyaan, bagaimana konsep agama yang dapat dilayani negara menurut masyarakat, problem pelayanan yang muncul dan bagaimana respon negara sebagai pelayan dalam mengatasinya? Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumen. Hasil penelitian adalah: Pertama, menurut masyarakat, konsep agama yang terlayani oleh negara tidak harus memiliki unsur-unsur yang harus ada dalam sebuah agama-agama yang diakui oleh negara, seperti; Tuhan, Nabi, dan Kitab Suci. Akan tetapi, unsur- unsur terpenting, seperti; sistem kepercayaan terhadap Tuhan yang Maha Esa, memiliki sistem ritual atau praktik keagamaan, dan memiliki lembaga keagamaan yang formal, serta pengakuan masyarakat dengan cara mendaftarkannya ke lembaga pemerintah. Kedua, problem pelayanan yang muncul bagi penganut agama lokal Marapu terkait administrasi kependudukan yang bersumber pada keberadaan agama Marapu sendiri, seperti; akte perkawinan, KTP, KK, layanan pendidikan, dan pendirian rumah ibadah. Ketiga, pemerintah daerah sebagai pelayan masyarakat sudah merespon dan berupaya memperbaiki sistem dan menyampaikan usulan kepada pemerintah pusat sesuai kewenangannya. Abstract

This paper presents the results of research on Minimum Service Standards (Standar Pelayanan Minimal [SPM]) in Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDTA), South Tangerang City. This study aims to determine whether the MDTA has met the Minimum Service Standards as set out in the Director General of Islamic Education Ministry of Religious Decree No. 6710/2014. This is an evaluation study where the data collected through interviews, observation, and study of documentation. The study concludes that the MDTA has met most components of SPM. Components of SPM, which has been met largely by the MDTA is the travel time of the students to MDTA (79%), the ratio of teacher-studentand study rooms (93%). However, there are SPM which currently cannot be met by MDTA such as a separated room teachers and principal of MDTA, the availability of reference and enrichment books, props, prayer rooms, educational level of new teachers which account for about 47% as well as the absence of supervisors for MDTA. Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil penelitian tentang Standar Pelayanan Minimal (SPM) dalam penyelenggaraan Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah di Kota Tangerang Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah telah memenuhi Standar Pelayanan Minimal sebagaimana telah ditetapkan dalam SK Dirjen Pendidikan Islam Kementerian Agama No. 6710/2014. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi, dengan metode pengumpulan data wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa MDTA telah memenuhi sebagian komponen SPM. Komponen SPM, yang telah terpenuhi sebagian besar MDTA di Kota Tangerang Selatan, yaitu jarak tempuh siswa ke MDTA, untuk kepala MDTA 79% sesuai dengan SPM, jumlah siswa perkelas atau rasio guru – siswa, ruang belajar sekitar 93%, hanya 7% MDTA yang tidak memiliki ruang belajar. SPM yang belum dapat dipenuhi MDTA adalah soal ketersediaan ruang terpisah guru dan kepala MDTA, ketersediaan buku referensi dan buku pengayaan, alat peraga, tempat ibadah, tingkat pendidikan minimal guru baru sekitar 47% sesuai SPM, dan ketiadaan pengawas bagi MDTA. Abstract

This paper presents the results of research on Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDTA) in the perspective of minimum service standards (Standar Pelayanan Minimal [SPM]) in Bogor. The study focuses on how the implementation of Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah in Bogor based on SPM and what are the factors supporting and inhibiting the fulfillment of the SPM. The results show that out of seven Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah research goals, there are only three madrasahs which have reached minimum of 70% of the SPM, while four other madrasas remain below 70% of achievements. Supporting factors for the achievement of SPM include the roles of local government, Communication Forum of Diniyah Takmiliyah (Forum Komunikasi Diniyah Takmiliyah [FKDT]), and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. While the inhibiting factors are: (1) lack of supervisors; (2) inadequate facilities and infrastructure; (3) minimal operational budget; (4) lack support from the community to the existence of Diniyah Takmiliyah; and (5) Regulation which do not require Diniyah certificate as prerequisite condition to the entry of formal education. Tulisan ini menyajikan hasil penelitian mengenai Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah Awaliyah (MDTA) dalam perspektif Standar Pelayanan Minimal (SPM) di Kabupaten Bogor. Penelitian difokuskan pada bagaimana penyelenggaraan Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah di Kabupaten Bogor berdasarkan Standar Pelayanan Minimal dan faktor apa saja yang menjadi pendukung dan penghambat bagi pemenuhan SPM tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, bahwa dari 7 Madrasah Diniyah Takmiliyah sasaran penelitian, baru terdapat 3 madrasah yang telah mencapai 70% dalam memenuhi Standar Pelayanan Minimal, sementara 4 madrasah lainnya masih berada di bawah 70%. Faktor pendukung ketercapaian Standar Pelayanan Minimal di antaranya adalah peran Pemerintah Daerah, Forum Komunikasi Diniyah Takmiliyah (FKDT), dan Kementerian Agama. Sementara faktor penghambat adalah: (1) Ketiadaan Pengawas; (2) Sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memadai; (3) Dana operasional yang sangat minim; (4) Lingkungan masyarakat yang masih kurang mendukung keberadaan Diniyah Takmiliyah; (5) Perda belum mewajibkan ijazah Diniyah menjadi prasyarat masuk jenjang pendidikan formal. Abstract

This paper discusses Rudat Sururol Faqir, particularly focuses on one of the art group of Rudat Sururol Faqir at the Kilasah village, Kasemen subdistrict, Serang, Banten. Rudat is one type of art clump tambourine which has special way in playing/hitting the tambourine and share special characteristic of the three pieces of cymbals attached to the frame. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observation, and review of the literature. This study reveals that Rudat Sururol Faqir has unique characteristics compared to the other Rudat groups when playing the cymbalsand tambourine. The Rudat Sururol Faqir also do not involve dance when performing the rudat show. This has connections with the history and the development of rudat art in the village of Kilasah. Tulisan ini membahas rudat Sururol Faqir, yang terfokus salah satu kelompok seni rudat yang ada dan berkembang di Desa Kilasah, Kecamatan Kasemen, Kota Serang, Banten. Rudat merupakan salah satu jenis seni rumpun rebana namun mempunyai karakteristik dalam teknik memukulnya dan genjring rudat mempunyai ciri khas adanya 3 buah simbal yang terpasang. Kajian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun teknik yang digunakan dalam mengumpulkan data adalah wawancara mendalam, pengamatan, dan telaah literatur. Penelitian ini mengungkapkan rudat Sururol Faqir mempunyai perbedaan dengan kelompok rudat lain dalam memainkan genjringnya dan tidak menggunakan tarian ketika dipentaskan. Abstract

The purpose of research is to determine the condition of National Board of Zakat (Badan Amil Zakat Nasional [Baznas]) of West Sumatra (Sumbar) in managing the receipt, collection, distribution and utilization of zakat, infak, and sadaqah in an efficient and effective manners as well as to identify the motivation of muzakki when paying a tithe to Baznas. The data collected through observation, interviews, and study the documentation. The result of this research shows that the utilization of zakat in West Sumatra Baznas has been oriented in six categories known as: Sumbar Iman and Taqwa, Sumbar Smart, Sumbar Prosperous, Sumbar Care, Sumbar Healthy, and the rights of amil. The purpose of zakat management in Baznas of Sumbar is to improve public services through regular charity, in addition to that to improve the function and role of religious institutions in order to achieve public welfare and social justice as well as to improve the performance of zakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (Baznas) Sumatera Barat dalam mengelola penerimaan, pengumpulan, dan penyaluran serta pemanfaatan zakat, infak, dan sadaqah secara berdaya guna dan berhasil guna, serta untuk mengetahui motivasi muzakki untuk berzakat di Baznas. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat diketahui, bahwa pendayagunaan zakat di Baznas Sumatera Barat berorientasi pada enam kategori, yaitu: Sumbar Iman dan Takwa, Sumbar Cerdas, Sumbar Makmur, Sumbar Peduli, Sumbar Sehat, dan Hak Amil. Tujuan pengelolaan zakat adalah untuk meningkatkan pelayanan bagi masyarakat dalam menunaikan zakat. Selain itu, untuk meningkatkan fungsi dan peranan pranata keagamaan dalam upaya mewujudkan kesejahteraan masyarakat dan keadilan sosial serta meningkatkan daya guna zakat. Abstract

This article is the result of a critical analysis of the animated series of Adit, Sopo, and Jarwo which showed on MNC TV and the series were uploaded on Youtube channel in June 2015. Through the content analysis method, this study concludes that the animated series of Adit, Sopo, and Jarwo bring the multicultural messages which shown from the different player characters through dialects, topics, and setting. For example, a dialect of Kang Ujang of the Sundanese background, the dangdut music as well as the view of Warung Tegal in the animated film. Taking the fact that there were messages of multiculturalism, the animated series, however, fails to feature more assorted diverse culture, culinary of the archipelago, the characters of other ethnic backgrounds as well as religious observances of Keywords: Multiculturalism, films analysis, children's movie series, animated films. Tulisan ini merupakan hasil dari analisa kritis terhadap tayangan serial animasi Adit, Sopo, dan Jarwo yang pernah ditayangkan di MNC TV dan telah diunggah di youtube, yang dilakukan pada bulan Juni 2015. Melalui analisis isi disimpulkan, bahwa serial animasi Adit, Sopo, dan Jarwo memuat pesan-pesan mutikulturalisme dari berbagai karakter pemain melalui dialek, topik, dan setting. Misalnya, dialek Kang Ujang yang kesunda-sundaan, dangdut, dan adanya Warung Tegal dalam film animasi tersebut. Walaupun telah ada pesan-pesan multikulturalisme, namun belum banyak menampilkan ragam budaya, kuliner nusantara, karakter etnik lainnya, dan peringatan keagamaan semua agama serta setting sosial masyarakat di luar kampung yang mencerminkan multikulturalisme bangsa. Abstract

This study aims to describe the cultivation of nationalism values through religious education to Senior High School students in the area of Perbatasan Negara which include: (1) the implementation of cultivating nationalism among senior high schools students in the area of Perbatasan Negara; (2) the nationalism behavior of senior high schools students in in the area of perbatasan negara; (3) supporting and inhibiting factors of cultivating nationalism through religious education for senior high school students in in the area of Perbatasan Negara. Using qualitative research methods, this study managed to find three findings: (1) Nationalism values has been implemented in high schools in in the area of Perbatasan Negara both it is implied or declared in religious education curriculum; (2) Regarding cognitive domain, students have understood nationalism values that have been taught by their religion teachers. In terms of affective aspect, most students have affectively practiced religion teaching about nationalism, and in psychomotor aspects, students have to have a spirit of nationalism such as the use of Indonesian language in their daily life at school; (3) The internal supporting factors of cultivating nationalism are through religious education is religious teachers competence and school culture, while the external supporting are through curriculum and extracurricular activity, Pramuka. The internal inhibiting factors of cultivating nationalism are through religious education aspects, including learning environment, and the absence of religious handbooks for students. The external the inhibiting factors in cultivating their nationalism values and nationality are family background, environmental conditions, and government policies.Keywords: Nationalism, religious education, Perbatasan Negara, West Kalimantan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan tentang penanaman nilai-nilai nasionalisme melalui pendidikan agama pada peserta didik Sekolah Menengah Atas di daerah Perbatasan Negara yang meliputi: (1) implementasi penanaman nasionalisme pada peserta didik di SMA di wilayah Perbatasan Negara, (2) perilaku nasionalisme peserta didik SMA di daerah Perbatasan Negara, (3) faktor pendukung dan penghambat penanaman nasionalisme melalui pendidikan agama pada peserta didik SMA di daerah perbatasan negara. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif penelitian ini berhasil menemukan 3 temuan, yaitu: (1) nilai-nilai nasionalisme telah diimplementasikan pada SMA di Perbatasan Negara, baik disisipkan maupun secara khsusus dalam kurikulum pendidikan agama; (2) secara kognitif, peserta didik telah memahami nilai-nilai nasionalisme yang telah diajarkan oleh guru agama mereka, secara afektif sebagian peserta didik telah mengamalkan ajaran agama tentang nasionalisme sebagian lagi belum, dan secara psikomotorik peserta didik telah memiliki jiwa nasionalisme seperti menggunakan bahasa Indonesia dalam pergaulan sehari-hari di sekolah; (3) faktor internal pendukung penanaman nasionalisme melalui pendidikan agama adalah kompetensi guru agama dan budaya sekolah, secara eksternal faktor, pendukung penanaman nasionalisme melalui kurikulum dan ekstrakurikuler Pramuka. Faktor internal, penghambat penanaman nasionalisme melalui pendidikan agama meliputi lingkungan belajar dan ketiadaan buku-buku agama pegangan untuk peserta didik. Secara eksternal, pengambat penanaman nilai-nilai nasionalisme dan kebangsaan peserta didik adalah latar belakang keluarga, kondisi lingkungan sekitar, dan kebijakan pemerintah.Kata Kunci: Nasionalisme, pendidikan agama, Perbatasan Negara, Kalimantan Barat.
