Abstract

PT. SP Alumunium is a company that produces cooking utensils such as pots, pans and others using raw materials used are pure aluminum and used aluminum which is melted and then molded into the desired product. Initial observations show that workers in doing their work pay less attention to occupational safety and health. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of K3 at PT. SP, and identify potential hazards especially in the type of aluminum melting and molding work at PT. SP Alumunium. The method used related to the existing problems is by using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method. This method focuses on identifying hazards related to the tasks / jobs performed. JSA steps are; Describe the tasks / jobs in sequence, identify hazards at each step that can interfere with K3, conduct a risk assessment by estimating the likelihood and consequences, provide recommendations and implement risk reduction steps. The results of JSA in the melting and molding work process each have four (4) work activities. Potential hazards that may occur are physical hazards such as exposure to heat, repetitive work; ergonomic hazards such as hand and waist injuries; chemical hazards such as exposure to combustion smoke. Hazard control that can be done by using safety shoes and gloves, improving work posture when lifting to avoid injury, using masks in the melting section. The conclusion obtained is that the implementation of K3 at PT. SP Alumunium has not been running well, it is seen that there is no special team that handles K3. While the potential hazards in the melting and molding process include potential physical hazards, ergonomic hazards, and chemical hazards

Abstract

Rice is a food crop that is used as a staple food source and has a strategic and economic role in Indonesia. The availability of food production in this case the availability of rice is influenced by weather, climate, pests, and land. Based on data released by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in 2023, rice production in that year for population food consumption is estimated at around 30.90 million tons. This has decreased by 645.09 thousand tons or 2.05% compared to rice production in 2022 which was 31.54 million tons. The factor that makes the Kembangbilo Village area a rice farming area is because the plant can grow well on loose, fertile soil, contains a lot of organic matter, soil pH between 6-7 and sufficient groundwater content. Based on the results of observations in the field, the data obtained from the intensity of brown planthopper attacks in 5 sampling observations in the two Kembangbilo Hamlet and Lidan Hamlet. In the first observation aged 40 hst to the fifth aged 68 hst the results were the same, there was no brown planthopper pest attack. The factor that caused the absence of pest attacks was that the current weather was the dry season, therefore it did not support the breeding of brown planthopper pests, in addition, the simultaneous planting pattern reduced the occurrence of brown planthopper pest attacks, and farmers carried out good plant cultivation care, meaning always preventing pest attacks by spraying pesticides with a predetermined dose.

Abstract

Conventional agriculture is increasingly dependent on the intensive use of chemical fertilizers. The increased use of chemical fertilizers has caused serious problems, ranging from soil fertility degradation to environmental pollution, which ultimately has a negative impact on farmers' health. On the other hand, organic farming systems have emerged as an alternative that integrates environmental conservation principles while improving the quality and added value of agricultural products. Extension plays an important role in efforts to transition to organic farming, Sugino (2021) stated that the extension approach must be arranged in such a way that farmers not only gain new knowledge but are also motivated to apply it consistently. This study aims to analyze in depth the instructional stages and motivational factors that influence the success of organic farming system extension at the Kedisan Mandiri Farmers Group in Tegallalang District, Gianyar Regency. Determination of key informants was carried out using the purposive sampling method to ensure that the selected key informants have characteristics that are appropriate and relevant to the focus of the study, namely agricultural extension and the head of the Kedisan Mandiri Farmers Group. Based on the results of data reduction and presentation, it can be concluded that the instructional stages in organic agricultural extension activities at the Kedisan Mandiri Farmer Group have been implemented systematically and contextually. Extension workers have succeeded in designing activities that are in accordance with the needs of farmers and are able to create a participatory learning atmosphere. In addition, high motivation from extension workers and participants is the main factor in the success of extension activities. External factors such as support from the village government, adequate extension facilities, and social recognition from external parties also strengthen the motivation and sustainability of the extension program.

Abstract

Kopi Langit Bali is a UMKM that produces processed Arabica coffee, including green beans, roasted beans, and ground coffee, using natural, honey, and full washed methods. During the production process, Kopi Langit Bali often faces challenges filled with uncertainty and needs to be wary of the potential risks in its production activities, thus requiring an early risk analysis to ensure business sustainability. This research aims to identify potential risks during the production process, analyze the severity, frequency, and detection capability of risks using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method, and formulate mitigation strategies to reduce potential risks. The research was conducted on the production process of Kopi Langit Bali in 2024. The research results show that there are 13 risk events and 13 risk agents in the production process. The highest risk in the Intolerable (INT) category has an RPN value of 775, and the lowest risk is in the Broadly Acceptable (BA) category with an RPN of 6. Two risk agents were identified as mitigation priorities because they fall into the INT and ALARP categories. Based on the analysis results, three main mitigation strategies have been formulated that can be applied by Kopi Langit Bali, including (1) implementing coffee planting patterns with shade to mitigate the impact of extreme weather, (2) maximizing drying capacity within the greenhouse, and (3) building affective commitment with freelance workers.

Abstract

PT Strawberry Corps Indonesia is one of the micro-scale MSMEs that has been incorporated as an Individual Company (PT). This research raises several issues, namely what are the risks that have the potential to arise, how to assess the level of risk, and what is the right mitigation strategy to deal with risks. This research aims to identify and determine potential risks, assess priority risks, and provide appropriate mitigation plans to overcome the risks contained in PT Strawberry Corps Indonesia. The method used is the Failure Mode and Effect Analisys (FMEA) method. There are 16 risk events contained in all stages of strawberry processed production activities. The highest risk falls into the Intolerable category with an RPN value of 448, and the lowest risk falls into the Broadly Acceptable category with an RPN value of 6. There are several risk mitigation plans related to the cause of the risk, namely: facilitating farmers to get education through cooperation with PPL and the Agriculture Office, coordinating or contracting with suppliers, recruiting part-time labor, maintaining the quality of raw materials by setting quality standards for raw materials, storing raw materials at a temperature of - 18°C and conducting routine checks on the cleanliness of equipment and production rooms before production.
