Abstract

Nova Liswan, 2022. An Analysis of Revenue Cost Ratio among Seaweed (Eucheuma Sp) Collector Traders in Binalawan Village, West Sebatik, Nunukan District (Supervised by Qoriah Saleha and Oon Darmansyah).Nunukan District, including Sebatik Island, is extremely potential for seaweed growth as the stretch of coastline with the rocky and sandy seabed as well as protected and relatively calm water areas strongly support the seaweed cultivation business. Each business that is undertaken expends some costs to make the marketing activities result in revenue. This study aimed to calculate the Revenue Cost Ratio among seaweed collector traders and describe the marketing channel of seaweed cultivation in Binalawan village, West Sebatik sub- district, Nunukan district. This study used a census method (saturated) and a snowball sampling technique. The data analysis was done using the Revenue Cost Ratio as well as the marketing channel. The result of the analysis of the Revenue Cost Ratio or R/C was 1.45 and the marketing channel formed a two- level channel.

Abstract

The smoked fish processing business is an effort to increase the added value of the product. The purpose of this study is to find out the cost, receipts, income, break-even point and the ratio of receipts and costs. This research was carried out from January to June 2022. The sample taken was 4 respondents. The data analysis method used is the analysis of income and the ratio of receipts and costs. The results showed that the average total cost of the baung fish processing business was IDR 11,104,250 and the average receipt from the baung fish processing business was IDR 13,605,000 / month and the income from the smoked baung fish processing business in Kota Bangun District averaged IDR 2,500,750 / month. The ratio value of the smoked baung fish processing business in Kota Bangun District is 1.2. Keywords: Economic Performance, Smoked Baung Fish, Kota Bangun District

Abstract

This study aims to determine the frequency of news on fisheries development published in the Kaltim Post Newspaper from 1 July to 31 December 2020 based on Regional Origin, Main Topics, News Layout Patterns, News Volume, Reviewing Opinions of Experts and Academics, Expert Practitioners' Opinions. Or Journalism Expert Print Media. The sampling method used is the Census Method and purposive sampling by taking a sample of News in the Period 1 July – 31 December 2020, interviewing 3 Fisheries Experts, 1 Bureaucrat of the Fisheries and Marine Service of East Kalimantan Province, and 1 Journalist. The data analysis method used is News Frequency and Expert Opinion. The results of this study indicate that the appearance of news is 266. Dominated in December 58 News, Frequency of Originated from Balikpapan 64 News (24.06%), 255 news group (95.90%), Non-Headlines Layout 199 News, Topics of News Conservation of Nature Protection and Ecotourism 63 (23.68%), Loaded Fishery News Volume (84,338cm), News Volume Based on December Area 19,288cm (22.87%), Balikpapan Dominated Area Volume 19,406cm (23.01%), Non-Headline Layout Volume 63.204cm (74,94%), Type of Article Nomination Area News 79,102cm (93.72%), Volume of Main Topic News Conservation of Nature Protection 22,133cm (26.24%) Based on the Expert Opinion of Fisheries Academics and Bureaucracy, the news profile uses easy-to-understand language, the written material has a scientific concept, does not deviate, the data presented is not relevant, the news sources are clearly listed, the news is dominated by mixing facts and opinions, preferably the content contained in news is for optimizing employment absorption, and the provision of animal protein sources for public consumption, coastal community income, based on expert opinions. and using regional languages, media experts also argue that the news presentation in the number of columns is sufficient. Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the feasibility of fish farming in cages and the level of welfare of the farming community. This research was conducted in Kelumpang Village, West Kutai Regency. A total of 22 fish farmers were selected as respondents using a purposive sampling method. The method of analysis used an analysis of fish cultivators' business and exchange rates. The results of this study indicate that the average income obtained from fish farming in cages is Rs. 1.950.701.047,-/year. The welfare level of cultivators shows an NTPi value of 2.6 for household income of fish cultivators and an NTPi value of 0.65 for income from fishery products, which illustrates a very good level of cultivator welfare

Abstract

The research was conducted with the aim of analyzing and describing how the GEMARIKAN program innovation communication process in Tanjung Redeb Village. The research was carried out for 12 months from November 2021 to October 2022 in the Tanjung Redeb Village, Berau Regency. The sampling method used was purposive sampling method with 17 respondents. The analytical method uses a qualitative descriptive analysis with a case study approach. The focus of this research is the 4 elements of innovation diffusion, namely innovation with the stages of knowledge, persuasion and decision, implementation, and confirmation, as well as communication channels, timeframe, and social systems. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and review of document contents. The stages of innovation in the process of adopting innovation are: The stage of public knowledge acquires knowledge through socialization. The most effective approach to the persuasion stage is the approach through fish processing training. In the implementation phase, the community implements the GEMARIKAN program by making processed fishery products. In the confirmation stage, the entire community implements the GEMARIKAN program. Communication channels, the majority of people use interpersonal media. The social system of the majority of people is included in the Early Majority recipient group.

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the profile of fish farmer groups in Juata Laut Urban Village and the level of group dynamics among fish farmers in Juata Laut Urban Village. This study was conducted from July 2022 to May 2023 in Juata Laut Urban Village, North Tarakan, Tarakan. The sample size was 20 respondents using a purposive sampling method. The findings showed that the profile characteristics of fish farmer groups consisted of 5 groups that were formed in 2019, 2020, and 2021 with a different number of members in each group starting from 7 to 15 members and the majority of them were Muslims. The age of whole members in the groups of fish farmers was around 29 to 58 years old. The type of fishing gear used by the groups of fish farmers consisted of 2 different types, namely trawls and gill nets. The level of group dynamics among fish farmers in Juata Laut urban village was categorized as dynamic whereby the group of fish farmers with an estimated score of 63.01 – 81.00; cumulatively, the average score of each group is as follows: 76.5 for Perdana, 72 for Mega Lestari, 76.5 for Imbaya, 72.5 for Intimung, and 74.4for Berkah.

Abstract

In Pela village, the majority of people work as fishermen. The purpose of this research was to know the roles of fishermen households to raising family income, to know the contribution of the fishermen households income and to know the activity profile and participation of fishermen's wives. The sampling method used the census method with the number of respondents 20 fishermen families. The method of data analysis used a descriptive analysis based on tabulation and qualitative descriptive. The results of the research showed that the fishermen households in Pela village, Kota Bangun Regency of Kutai Kartanegara, the husband of fishermen as the head of the household who had a job as a fish seeker, while a fisherman's wife served as a housewife, which also had the type of work of salty fish processing and crackers. The contributions of fishermen's wife in the family's income reached 31% while the fishermen's husband amounted to 69%. The activity of fishermen's household in the production was more dominant, it reached 53.33% while fishermen wife only 46.67%. On the other hand, the reproduction and social activities of fishermen's wife were more dominant 75.625% and 34.375%, while fishermen's husband 3.125% and 15, 625%. For the participation of access and control of fishermen households, the fishermen's wife was more dominant than the fishermen. Meanwhile, the factors that affect the fishermen family contrainm of (9.17%), and opportunity (75.83%).

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to determine the costs, income, marketing margins, marketing channels and marketing efficiency of freshwater fish in Barong Tongkok District, West Kutai Regency. This research was conducted from July 2021 to June 2022. The sample determination was based on the Census method, namely by taking one population group as a whole with a total of 4 respondents, namely tilapia cultivators business owners, Snowball Sampling method with a total of 4 respondents. The main data (primary) was obtained from business owners by means of interviews using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed by quantitative analysis. The results of the analysis show that the average cost of all respondent cultivators is IDR.11,359,817/year, the average profit is IDR. 3,140,183/year. The applicable marketing channels are level 0 channels and level 1 channels. The resulting marketing margin is IDR. 6000. Freshwater fish marketing channel in Barong Tongkok District, West Kutai Regency has an efficiency value of 83% so it can be concluded that the applicable marketing channel is efficient because the efficiency value is more than 50%.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the level of perception and participation of fishermen in the utilization of the Selili Fish Landing Base in Samarinda City. The sampling technique used is Incidental sampling method. The results of this study indicate that the perception level of fishermen in the utilization of the Fish Landing Base is 31.69, which is in the interval of 28.01 - 36.00 so that it is included in the high category. The participation rate of fishermen in the utilization of the Landing Base is 76%, this value is in the high category, meaning that the participation of fishermen has helped in the utilization of the Selili Landing Base

Abstract

Fishery counseling is non-formal education aimed at the community, especially fishermen, cultivators and processors of fishery products and their families to improve knowledge, skills, attitudes and motivation in the field of fisheries. The Role of Extension Media on Fish Cultivators in Jembayan Village, Kutai Kartenegara Regency, it is necessary to do counseling with extension media to see whether the use of media in the extension carried out is effective to be understood and carried out in aquaculture practices as conveyed by the fishery instructor. This study aims to identify fishery extension media used in extension activities in the "Gawi Bersama and Baimbai Sejahtera" groups. In Jembayan Village, Loa Kulu District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. This study used the Total Sampling method. The data analysis used in this research is descriptive-qualitative analysis, and this qualitative research is tabulated and analyzed descriptively, while quantitative data is presented using numbers in the data table.
