Abstract

A Study on the Identification of Social Institutions for the Fishermen Community in Muara Pasir Village, Tanah Grogot District, Paser Regency. Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Mulawarman University. (Supervised by Hj. Fitriyana and Oon Darmansyah). This study aims to identify the social institutions that exist in the fishing community in Muara Pasir village, both formal and informal social institutions. This research was conducted for 19 months starting from October 2019 to January 2021. The sample method used was purposive sampling with a sample of 49 respondents. The analytical method used is descriptive qualitative analysis in the form of a narrative. The results of this study indicate that the social institutions in Muara Pasir Village consist of formal institutions, namely the Fishermen Partners Institute, the Sinar Pasifik fishing group, and the Leger fishermen group. Furthermore, the informal social institutions found in the fishing community in Muara Pasir Village are Community Service or mutual assistance. Abstract

Research was aimed to find out if the counseling activities conducted positively affect the absorption of fishermen and to know the level of absorption of fishermen to the counseling activities (presentation) that have been carried out. This research was conducted in Bontang Kuala Village, Bontang City using sample method based on census (30 fishermen became respondents). The results of the analysis showed that the use of communication media (presentation) to the absorption of fishermen had a positive effect with scores of 7.86 and 9.6, respectively. The score belongs to the moderate category where the counseling activities conducted have been running well and have a positive impact for fishermen in Bontang Kuala Village although not yet fully maximized. Abstract

The purposes of this research is to analyze the financial feasibility of the amplang business Ud Ogi Passompe to see whether this business is feasible or not using investment criteria with NVP, IRR, Net B / C Ratio and Payback Period. This study used a field survey method, its sampling in the form of case studies. The results showed that from the financial aspect, amplang business is feasible to run and develop. as evidenced by the investment criteria, with an NVP value of IDR 1.683.306.559, IRR of 40%, Net BCR of 2.75 and a payback period of 2.91 years (34.9 months). Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the performance of fisheries instructors in Sanga-Sanga Dalam Village in the fishery product processing group. This research was carried out in April 2019 - February 2020 in Sanga-Sanga Kelurahan in Sanga-Sanga District. The sampling method used is the Survey method with the number of samples taken is 15 people. Data analysis method used is descriptive qualitative analysis method. The results of the research The effectiveness of instructors' performance in the amplang processing group in Sanga-Sanga in Sanga-Sanga District based on 8 indicators on the performance of instructors, namely Work Quantity with a value of 6, Work Quality with a value of 5, work knowledge with a value of 8.33, creativity with value 6.87, cooperation with a value of 7.07, can be trusted with a value of 6.73, initiative with a value of 7.93, and personal quality with a value of 8.06. Cumulatively, the average is in the medium category with a total score of 55.99. Keywords: Effectiveness, Extension Workers, Amplang Processing Group.

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the marketing channels, costs, margins, and farmer's share of white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) in Kuala Samboja Village, Samboja Sub-district, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The research was conducted in Kuala Samboja Village, Samboja Sub-district, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. The samples used in the study were 15 fishermen and 2 white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannmei) traders. The sampling method used was purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The results showed that: there are 2 marketing channels for white shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei), namely the level zero (0) marketing channel and the level two (2) marketing channel with 2 types; meanwhile the marketing costs at the level zero (0) marketing channel is Rp. 392/kg, at the level two (2) type 1 marketing channel is Rp. 3.043/kg, and at the level two (2) type 2 marketing channel is Rp. 2,487/kg. The total marketing margin is at level two (2) marketing channel with Rp. 67,500/kg and Rp. 36,700/kg. And the highest farmer's share is at the zero level marketing channel (0) which is equal to 100% and is the most efficient marketing channel. Abstract

The purposed of this study was to determine the level of implementation of the task of assisting fisheries instructors in fostering farmers in Muara Jawa District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. This research was conducted in Muara Jawa District for 9 months starting in February - October 2019. The collection of primary data in this study was conducted by observation and direct interviews with respondents using a questionnaire. Secondary data in the form of documents that support research carried out by means of literature study. Determination of the sample using Purposive Sampling and Systematic Sampling methods with total sample of 57 fish farmers. Data is presented in tabular form and processed in quantitative descriptive manner, each question is given a score based on the Likert Scale. The results showed that the level of implementation of the task of extension fisheries instructors in Muara Jawa District Kutai Kartanegara Regency was included in the high category with a score of 75.49, in the range of 70.1 - 90.0, which means the task of assisting fisheries instructors in Muara Jawa District had been running well. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know the stages of sangkuriang catfish hatchery and to calculate performance of economic business sangkuriang catfish hatchery based on a eligibility analysis which cover; Revenue Cost Ratio (RCR), Price Point Break Event, Sales Point Break Event, Production Point Break Event, Payback Period, and Return On Investment. This research was conducted from July 2021 to February 2022. The type of research data using quantitative data and primary data obtained by interview using questionnaires. The research showed that value of RCR = 4.25, break even point of price in amount of Rp. 101/tail < actual price in amount of Rp. 450/tail, break even point of sales in amount of Rp. 694,705/month < actual sales in amount Rp. 39,000,000/month, break even point of quantity in amount of 1,951 tail/month < quantity in amount of 90,000 tail/month, payback period for 11 months 24 days, and results of ROI analysis obtained amount 93.25%. The results analysis performance of economic indicate that business of sangkuriang catfish hatchery business in CV. Sumber Rezeki profitable and feasible to do.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat dinamika kelompok pembudidaya. Metode pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah metode sensus dengan jumlah responden yang diambil sebanyak 11 responden. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah skala Likert untuk mengetahui tingkat dinamika kelompok pembudidaya ikan Tunas Giri Makmur di Kelurahan Lempake Kecamatan Samarinda Utara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa tingkat dinamika kelompok pembudidaya ikan Tunas Giri Makmur pada setiap indikator: tujuan kelompok, struktur kelompok, fungsi dan tugas kelompok, kesatuan dan kekompakan kelompok, pengembangan dan pemeliharaan kelompok, suasana kelompok, ketegangan kelompok, keefektifan kelompok, berada pada katagori tinggi dan sedangkan indikator Maksud tersembunyi pada katagori sedang. Secara akumulasi keseluruhan tingkat dinamika kelompok pembudidaya ikan pokdakan tunas giri makmur pada katagori tinggi dengan nilai skor 70,13. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kelompok pembudidaya tunas giri makmur tidak sealalu dalam kondisi statis, tetapi berada dalam kondisi dinamis yang dapat berubah dalam kehidupan kelompok.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to formulate a policy strategy for aquaculture development in Samarinda City with SWOT analysis, and examine the main problems in the development of aquaculture in Samarinda City. The research was conducted from October 2021 to May 2022 in Samarinda City. Sample as many as 3 informants and 12 respondents with reference to the purpopsiv sampling method. The results showed that the strategy of the Samarinda City Fisheries Office is improve empowerment and coaching to farmers, utilize supporting infrastructure to strengthen Samarinda City as the center of the fishery products market, utilizing the existence of BBI as a technical implementer of hatchery and fish farming, utilizing marketing technonology support to meet the needs of fish in the community. The main problems of aquaculture development in Samarinda City are that aquaculture land was getting narrower, water quality was decreasing, feed prices were expensive and the lack of budget during the Covid-19 pandemic.The solutions carried out are urban-based cultivation, providing education to the community, utilizing independent feed and managing the use of budgets properly.

Abstract

In Pela village, the majority of people work as fishermen. The purpose of this research was to know the roles of fishermen households to raising family income, to know the contribution of the fishermen households income and to know the activity profile and participation of fishermen's wives. The sampling method used the census method with the number of respondents 20 fishermen families. The method of data analysis used a descriptive analysis based on tabulation and qualitative descriptive. The results of the research showed that the fishermen households in Pela village, Kota Bangun Regency of Kutai Kartanegara, the husband of fishermen as the head of the household who had a job as a fish seeker, while a fisherman's wife served as a housewife, which also had the type of work of salty fish processing and crackers. The contributions of fishermen's wife in the family's income reached 31% while the fishermen's husband amounted to 69%. The activity of fishermen's household in the production was more dominant, it reached 53.33% while fishermen wife only 46.67%. On the other hand, the reproduction and social activities of fishermen's wife were more dominant 75.625% and 34.375%, while fishermen's husband 3.125% and 15, 625%. For the participation of access and control of fishermen households, the fishermen's wife was more dominant than the fishermen. Meanwhile, the factors that affect the fishermen family contrainm of (9.17%), and opportunity (75.83%).
