Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phenomenon of Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) as a psychological challenge in the learning process of students at MTs Futuhiyyah Kudu Semarang. The rapid development of digital technology and the intensive use of social media among adolescents have increased the tendency to remain continuously connected to online information and social activities. This condition may influence students’ learning concentration, academic engagement, and self-regulation. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. The participants were eighth-grade students of MTs Futuhiyyah Kudu Semarang selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that FoMO is experienced by students due to the high intensity of social media use in their daily lives. FoMO is reflected in frequent smartphone checking, difficulty diverting attention from social media notifications, and anxiety when missing social information. These conditions affect the learning process by reducing concentration, academic engagement, and self-regulation. In the context of madrasah education, FoMO represents not only a psychological challenge but also a pedagogical issue related to character development and self-control grounded in Islamic values. Strengthening digital literacy, self-regulation, and collaboration among teachers, parents, and schools is therefore essential to promote balanced and healthy social media use

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation on job satisfaction and employee performance, as well as the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance at PT. BPRS Hikmah Bahari Head Office. This research uses a quantitative approach with a causal design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 47 respondents using a saturated sampling technique. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS 4. The results show that work motivation has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction and employee performance. Job satisfaction also has a significant effect on employee performance. The R-square value indicates that job satisfaction is influenced by work motivation by 78.9%, while employee performance is influenced by work motivation and job satisfaction by 85..6%.

Abstract

With modernity and digital acceleration shaping how young people see religion, being religious isn't just about following rituals anymore but also about having a reflective and personal spiritual experience. You can see this with Gen Z, who still practice formal spirituality while also building spiritual well-being through contemplative experiences and searching for meaning in their context. Research aims to analyze how Generation Z's religious transformation takes place in the context of modernity and how formal spirituality contributes to the formation of spiritual well-being. This research finds that the transformation of Generation Z's religiosity does not lead to a weakening of formal religion, but rather to a shift in orientation toward a more internal and existential meaning. Formal spirituality continues to function as the foundation of religiosity, enriched by reflective and personal experiences in building spiritual well-being. Formal spirituality still holds an important role in shaping the spiritual well-being of Generation Z amid modernity and digital culture. Formal religious practices are not only understood as ritual obligations but also as a source of meaning in life and a coping mechanism in facing the pressures of modern life. These findings confirm that formal spirituality remains relevant as the foundation of spiritual well-being for the younger generation in the modern era.

Abstract

Nilai-nilai Islam seperti kejujuran, disiplin, tanggung jawab, toleransi, dan moralitas telah terbukti relevan sebagai landasan moral dalam menghadapi tantangan sosial modern. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis fenomena yang menjadi fokus penelitian, serta menemukan faktor penyebab dan dampak dari permasalahan yang diteliti. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Populasi penelitian meliputi semua elemen yang terlibat dalam proses pendidikan nilai-nilai Islam, yaitu guru, orang tua, pemimpin masyarakat, dan siswa. Instrumen pendukung untuk Pedoman Wawancara Mendalam adalah untuk mengeksplorasi pandangan informan. Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penanaman nilai-nilai Islam di tengah perubahan sosial menghadapi tantangan besar berupa pengaruh digitalisasi, kurangnya contoh nyata, metode pendidikan yang kurang relevan, dan sinergi yang lemah antara keluarga, sekolah, dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menjawab tujuan penelitian bahwa strategi yang paling efektif dalam mendidik generasi saat ini adalah melalui pendekatan kolaboratif, contoh nyata, inovasi pembelajaran, dan penggunaan teknologi yang positif berdasarkan nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis terhadap pengembangan studi Islam, sosiologi, dan pendidikan, khususnya mengenai model penanaman nilai-nilai Islam yang adaptif terhadap dinamika perubahan sosial modern.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the ATIK Model (Observe, Imitate, Do) in improving gross motor skills of early childhood learners at Mutiara Hati Playgroup, Sukoharjo. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental one group pretest-posttest design without a control group. The participants consisted of 12 children aged 3–4 years selected through total sampling. Data were collected using an observation sheet measuring gross motor skills, including balance, coordination, agility, and strength. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive statistics and a paired sample t-test. The results showed that the mean pretest score was 47.8, which increased to 74.9 in the posttest, with an improvement of 27.1 points. The t-test results indicated a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that the ATIK Model had a significant effect on improving children’s gross motor skills. These findings suggest that learning through observation, imitation, and direct practice effectively stimulates motor development in early childhood. Therefore, the ATIK Model is effective in enhancing gross motor development through active, enjoyable, and developmentally appropriate learning activities

Abstract

This study aims to describe the stimulation of fine motor skills in early childhood through the use of the “Smart Tree” (Pohon Pintar) media in recognizing number symbols among children aged 4–5 years at Pelangi Playgroup. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The subjects of the study consist of 17 children. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the use of the Smart Tree media is able to improve children's fine motor skills, such as pinching, sticking, and coordinating hand and eye movements. In addition, children’s ability to recognize number symbols also shows improvement through concrete and enjoyable activities. This media is proven to be effective in creating interactive and meaningful learning experiences.

Abstract

Pesantren, as the oldest Islamic educational institution in Indonesia, possesses various distinctive veneration traditions, among them mushafahah (handshaking), taqbil al-yad (hand-kissing), and inhinā' (bowing of the head) toward the kiai. These traditions have frequently been the subject of scholarly debate regarding their jurisprudential foundations, necessitating examination through the living hadis approach. This study aims to describe the practices of mushafahah, taqbil al-yad, and inhinā' at Pesantren Sains Tebuireng, to analyze the meanings and motivations underlying them, and to examine their correlation with the prophetic traditions of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. The study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques comprising semi-structured interviews with seven informants selected through purposive sampling, field observation, documentation, and a questionnaire administered to 50 santri as supplementary data. The findings indicate that all three practices have become institutionalized as a robust collective culture within the pesantren environment. The motivations of the santri in performing these practices encompass moral character development, veneration of knowledge, cultivation of tawadhu' (humility), as well as the influence of the social environment and family education. Normatively, mushafahah possesses a strong foundation in Shahih al-Bukhari; taqbil al-yad is permissible insofar as it is intended as ta'ẓīm dīnī (religious veneration) based on the position of the majority of scholars; whereas inhinā' in the form of a slight inclination of the head does not fall within the prohibited category, taking into account the physical degree of the movement and the intention of the practitioner. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I sekolah dasar serta terbatasnya penggunaan media pembelajaran yang menarik dan sesuai dengan karakteristik perkembangan anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan media pembelajaran kartu kata bergambar yang layak, praktis, dan efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I SDN Gombolharjo 02. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) melalui tahapan analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas I SDN Gombolharjo 02. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi validasi ahli, angket respons pengguna, serta tes pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media kartu kata bergambar memperoleh kategori sangat layak dari ahli materi (93,75%), ahli media (90,6%), dan ahli bahasa (79%). Hasil uji coba menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa antara nilai pretest dan posttest, dengan peningkatannya yang berada pada kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian, media kartu kata bergambar yang dikembangkan dinyatakan layak, praktis, dan cukup efektif sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran untuk membantu meningkatkan keterampilan membaca permulaan siswa kelas I sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Translation has long been associated merely with the process of transferring one language into another without altering the essence of the meaning, with the expectation that the intended message can be conveyed properly. Students tend to position translation activities only at the thematic and ideological level of coursework, and thus have not fully explored how a translation can appear natural and meaningful by paying attention to grammar and sentence flow. Therefore, this study aims to describe translation errors or identify interlanguage phenomena consisting of simplification, generalization, and fossilization through a qualitative approach focusing on Larry Selinker’s theory, case studies, and descriptive assessment. The primary data source of this research is the translation of texts from the book Arabiyah Bayna Yadaik 3A used by fifth-semester students of STAIN Mandailing Natal, supported by secondary data from reputable national and international journals, as well as additional supporting data in the form of documentation and academic interviews. The results of the study indicate that students assume translation is merely the transfer of the source language into the target language. Consequently, the translation results contain more complex interlanguage phenomena, not merely the formation of a unique language between two languages such as abbreviations, but also literal meanings (reduction and shift of meaning), simplification of meaning, word repetition (addition of meaning), contextual errors, grammatical errors, semantic errors, and structural errors. Translation errors or interlanguage found in the translation results of fifth-semester students of the Arabic Language and Literature program in the book Arabiyah Bayna Yadaik Volume 3A are not limited to fossilization alone, where the mother tongue dominates in shaping the translation or creating a new language that becomes the translator’s identity (students), causing the translation to appear unnatural. There is also a tendency among students to simplify translations (simplification) in order to complete assignments more easily for the sole purpose of academic grades, as well as a tendency toward word generalization (generalization), which repeatedly applies a single rule to translate various complex sentences. The study concludes that translation is not merely a process of transferring language so that messages can be conveyed, but rather a series of intellectual and cognitive activities in transferring messages, nuances, meanings, language styles, and cultural aspects from the source

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis transformasi pemahaman keagamaan masyarakat dalam penentuan awal Ramadhan dan Idulfitri melalui pendekatan Ru'yatul Hilal dan Hisab Kalender Hijriah Global Tunggal (KHGT) di Kecamatan Boja Kabupaten Kendal. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya dinamika pemahaman masyarakat terhadap perbedaan metode penentuan awal bulan Hijriah yang sering dipahami sebagai pertentangan kebenaran keagamaan, padahal kedua pendekatan tersebut merupakan hasil ijtihad keilmuan dalam tradisi Islam. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi sosial. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, studi dokumen, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Ru'yatul Hilal dan KHGT merupakan bentuk perkembangan Islam dan sains yang memiliki dasar normatif dan argumentasi ilmiah masing-masing. Ru'yatul Hilal berkembang sebagai metode klasik berbasis observasi hilal yang memiliki legitimasi kuat dalam tradisi fikih Islam, sedangkan KHGT hadir sebagai bentuk integrasi ilmu falak dan astronomi modern dalam upaya penyatuan kalender Islam global. Implementasi kedua pendekatan tersebut di Kecamatan Boja menunjukkan adanya transformasi pemahaman keagamaan masyarakat dari pola pikir tekstual menuju pola pikir yang lebih dialogis, moderat, dan integratif antara agama dan sains. Meski terdapat perbedaan pendekatan, masyarakat Boja tetap menjaga harmonisasi sosial dan toleransi terhadap perbedaan penentuan awal Ramadhan dan Idulfitri. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pendidikan Islam memiliki peran penting dalam membangun kesadaran moderasi beragama dan pemahaman ilmiah terhadap dinamika perkembangan ilmu falak modern di tengah masyarakat Muslim kontemporer.
