Abstract

This study aims to measure the financial performance of PT Dyandra Media International, which is a company engaged in the MICE business in Indonesia for the period 2014 to 2021 using du pont analysis. Based on du pont analysis, the ratios used are net profit margin, total assets turnover, return on assets, equity multiplier, and return on equity. By using quantitative descriptive methodology, the largest return on equity ratio occurred in 2018. This is because the return on assets ratio and equity multiplier ratio in 2018 are quite high. Throughout 2018, all strategies were successfully implemented by the company so that it had an impact on increasing profits in 2018. This increase in profit was not only influenced by the sale of hotel assets and increased operating income as well as consistent efficiency and cost control in various aspects in all business units.

Abstract

At present, MICE destinations have become an attraction and are expected to increase foreign exchange in tourism. The Ministry of Tourism and the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) now also support the core business of tourism. Because when MICE can be developed, it will gain seven times the profit compared to tourism which is merely entertainment. Especially in Indonesia, MICE activities are still minimal. Bogor Regency as a destination with tourist attractions also has the opportunity to develop MICE, call it the Gunung Mas Agrotourism. Under the management of PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) VIII, Gunung Mas Agrotourism is now able to provide a variety of activities according to market needs. What are the MICE attractions that can be used for MICE tourism activities? How to maximize MICE destination in Gunung Mas Bogor Agrotourism? Results of research with qualitative methods explain that in Gunung Mas have tea walk potential and often hold formal meetings, weddings, and other activities on demand. Including important meetings which are scheduled in private. In fact, several times held a seminar. For this reason, there are four halls with various capacities that can accommodate 50 people, 100 people, even 300 people.

Abstract

The match between Arema vs Persebaya in Kanjuruhan, Malang, Indonesia experienced riots which resulted in hundreds of spectators being injured and dead. This incident became the world's attention, not only because of the large number of victims but also because of the alleged mistakes in the preparation for the match which did not prioritize the emergency aspect. This article will analyze these events from the perspective of emergency preparedness in the context of risk management. Preparation for emergency conditions in the context of risk management is very closely related to preparedness, namely a series of activities carried out to anticipate disasters through organizing and through effective and efficient steps. (Mardiatno, 2019). This study will analyze the things that need to be considered in organizing competitions with large crowds such as in Kanjuruhan from the perspective of Emergency Preparedness. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using content analysis. The results of the analysis show that several aspects of emergency preparedness must receive in-depth attention as the cause of the high level of risk occurring in the match.

Abstract

The phenomenon of revenge tourism pertains to the inclination of individuals to embark on travels as a way of "getting even" after having been constrained for a prolonged period because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This has led to the implementation of policies by governments, such as Indonesia and other nations worldwide, that restrict human movement during the COVID-19 pandemic. The bans on activities outside the home and travel in Indonesia have led to the emergence of anxiety, boredom, stress, and prolonged fatigue among many people. The MICE industry is experiencing rapid growth within the tourism sector. This is due to the high demand for individuals and companies to hold meetings and events. However, the current mobility restriction policy has led to the cancellation of certain MICE activities due to the risk of large gatherings. Nonetheless, the exhibition and conference business sector has been able to adapt to the current situation by optimizing IT technology, events that were initially held offline when the pandemic spread turned into online events. As a result, the conference and exhibition sector demonstrates greater resilience in comparison to other industries like impresarios and incentive trips. The nature of this research is descriptive and qualitative, utilizing a phenomenological approach to delve deeper into the phenomenon of revenge tourism. The focus will be on the perspectives of the organizers and exhibitors of such events, with the aim of drawing conclusions about the extent of this phenomenon in specific fields.

Abstract

  This research begin with careful observation when the researcher went to Wakatobi for scuba diving. Researcher finds Wakatobi is a beautiful destination both upper and under the sea. Researcher find that tourism development, infrastructure in Wakatobi did not suitable enough for their great potential to become big destination. Therefore, researcher search for suitable aspects to define Wakatobi as a prospect-full destination for diver. The research is about value chain analysis that includes all international class criteria for a destination. Purpose of this journal is to determine which is the most important points from diver’s perspective, based on their last experience in Wakatobi. The respondent is selected by asking whether they have been to Wakatobi for dive or not. The result of this research concludes that first priority to diver’s perspective is Food and Beverage, second is the tourism assets in destination, third accommodation. From nine aspects of value chain analysis about current condition, transportation got the lowest mean, and tourism assets got the highest mean. Therefore, the analysis of all points concludes into SWOT Analysis to determine strategies on how Wakatobi should be managed to become comprehensive and sustainable destination in the future.

Abstract

In organizing an event especially a conference consist of 2 (two) big series of events which are the main events and supporting events. The opening and closing ceremony are the series of supporting events that have important functions which inseparable from the main event, which is meeting session. During the event of Asia Youth International Model United Nations 2018, the opening and closing ceremony are the main basis for the first assessment and impression of the event given by the delegates for the success factors of the event. This research uses qualitative method and determined on the basis of direct observation of the object under study and data collection techniques using observational methods and questionnaire methods. The results of this study show that the success of the opening and closing ceremony have some important functions of the event value and will be affected for the upcoming event Asia Youth International Model United Nations.

Abstract

Promotional activities are very important to inform tourist destinations and MICE to the wider community. Promotional activities can be carried out through various media, none other than print media or electronic media. The Department of Youth, Sports, Culture and Tourism (Disporyata) continues to strive to create culture and tourism with character in the city of Depok. These efforts are carried out by optimizing programs for art development, cultural preservation, and increasing tourism. The purpose of this research is to determine the condition of stand alone venues MICE in Depok City and to find out the efforts of Disporyata in promoting stand alone venues MICE in Depok City. This research was carried out using a qualitative descriptive method based on the results of active field observations, interviews with the parties involved, and the results of documentation during the research. The results of this research are that Disporyata has devised a strategy in promoting independent MICE venues in Depok City, namely creating a website "Nyok Ke Depok" and making a promotional video. Abstract

Depok has many options of venues for holding an event. Nowadays, Depok has managed to be more active in promoting the available venue and accommodation. This research aims to explain the readiness of The Margo Hotel and the role of city government in collaboration with holding an event in Depok. During the research process, the author found that organizing a large-scale exhibition in Depok must have a suitable venue in terms of facilities, capacity, and accommodation. The Margo Hotel is one of the potential venues for holding exhibitions in Depok. This research used a qualitative approach with a type of descriptive research. The data collection was obtained from an interview process with The Margo Hotel and the Youth, Sports, Culture, and Tourism Office of Depok also observing the venue. On the other hand, the secondary data had obtained from The Margo Hotel documents. This research showed that the Youth, Sports, Culture, and Tourism Office of Depok has established a website as one of the promotional efforts for MICE and Tourism activities in Depok. These promotional efforts aim to develop the collaboration between stakeholders and the city government to make exhibitions in Depok, specifically for holding large-scale exhibitions.

Abstract

Registration is one of the important elements in organizing a show because registration will be the audience's first impression of the show being held. This study discusses the pre-registration and re-registration procedures as well as the obstacles and solutions that were given during registration in the Pre-Selected Women fight. The purpose of this research is to find out the pre-registration and re-registration procedures as well as to find out the obstacles and solutions that were made during the registration. Methods of data collection in this study using the method of observation and computational methods. Methods of data analysis using procedural descriptive qualitative analysis, in which data processing is done by describing the data in the form of regular, coherent, logical, and effective sentences. The results of the study show that registration for the Preferred Women's Show, namely: one, pre-registration which starts with preparing the caket.org platform, prospective viewers register via the caket.org platform, until the prospective audience gets an e-ticket; two, re-registration, the audience shows their e-ticket to the registration staff and the registration staff will scan the barcode to check the data. Abstract

MICE – Education Fair is an exhibition activity that displays types of education, both secondary education and higher education. This study aims to analyze elements of the marketing mix such as product, price, place, and promotion for marketing the 2022 Antologi Event & PRs Education Fair. This research was also conducted using the observation and interview methods of Antologi Event & PRs employees as the Event Organizer. The result of this study show that product, price, place, and promotions influence the marketing of the 2022 Education Fair Antologi Event & PRs event.Keyword: MICE, Marketing Mix, Education Fair.
