Libraria: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi is a journal for library and information science initiated by FPPTI (Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum ) Central Java, published twice annually in June and December. Libraria: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi welcomes the submission of research, theory, and practice papers relevant to library and information science. The article will be reviewed by the editors and reviewers who are competent in the related field. The review uses double-blind peer review before the journal is published. Abstract

Keberadaan teknologi telah membawa peran besar pustakawan akademik (perguruan tinggi) dalam keterlibatan sebagai mitra sivitas akademika. Tulisan ini bertujuan mengeksplorasi kontribusi pustakawan dalam pendampingan proses menulis dan publikasi ilmiah di perguruan tinggi. Diperlukan keahlian pustakawan dalam kemampuan menelusur informasi dan penggunakan tools teknologi. Studi ini menggunakan metode deskriptif untuk memberikan gambaran umum yang terjadi di perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah pengalaman pribadi penulis sebagai pustakawan dalam aktivitas layanan pendampingan melalui klinik pustaka ilmiah, yaitu: memberikan layanan pencarian literatur dan pemanfaatan reference manager untuk penulisan ilmiah, pemanfaatan tools untuk melakukan pengecekan originalitas tulisan ilmiah, dan mencari jurnal yang tepat untuk disubmit. Tulisan ini memberikan solusi praktis bagi pustakawan akademik (perguruan tinggi) dalam menunjukkan kontribusi melalui pendampingan menulis dan publikasi untuk membangun bargaining position di mata pemustaka dan pengambil kebijakan di tingkat perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

The research objective was to determine the environmental factors that affect the reading habits of grade I students in Elementary School 3 Demaan Kudus. This research used a qualitative descriptive study with eleven informants consisting of the one class teacher, five students, and five students’ parents. The data sources are primary and secondary. Data collection techniques by observation, interviews, and literature study. Data analysis techniques with data reduction, data presentation, and concluding. The validity test used the source triangulation technique. The results showed that the reading habits of first-grade students at Elementary School 3 Demaan Kudus were influenced by the school environment and the home environment. School environmental factors such as social influence from friends, the class environment, rarely going to the school library, and not a special reading curriculum. Home environmental factors, namely the lack of parental attention, lack of parental motivation, and parents when at home have not provided an example to cultivate reading.

Abstract

Pustakawan adalah sebuah profesi yang memerlukan pengakuan dari masyarakat terkait dengan eksistensi dan tugasnya. Pustakawan tidak lagi disebut sebagai profesi yang mutlak menjaga buku. Melainkan profesi yang tidak saja mampu mengorganisasikan bahan pustaka, lebih dari itu pustakawan menjadi mitra posisitf para pelaku pengetahuan dalam rangka pengembangan kompetensi akademik, perilaku dan sikapnya. Artikel ini mengangkat tema sertifikasi dan kompetensi pustakawan. Berharap artikel ini bisa dijadikan titik picu berfikir pustakawan agar tidak terjebak pada kungkungan pekerjaan teknis yang selama ini menjadi stigma yang menghambat perkembangan pustakawan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah mix-methode yang mengambil beberapa informan kunci sebagai pengklarifikasi berbagai pertanyaan yang menyangkut sertifikasi dan kompetensi ini. Simpulan dari penulisan ini bahwa pustakawan era sekarang dalam pengembangan kompetensi mampu menjadi pengajar, peneliti, pengelola taman baca masyarakat, wira usaha, dan juga menjadi penulis. Guna menjaga kekokohan profesi dan kompetensi, diperlukan tanda sahnya menguasai kompetensi yaitu dengan dimilikinya sertifikat tanda lulus dalam ujian sertifikasi/ kompetensi pustakawan.

Abstract

Until now, the internet is still the prima donna for the public to find and get information. The internet is able to provide information to the public in real time, up-to-date, and fast. Therefore, the library is currently faced with the development of science and information that supports the needs of every user in the latest. Collections that are up to date are really needed by users. . In this case, combining library collection information with existing information sources on the internet. Librarians are required to become Smart Librarians in innovating by combining the two information into one container so that it is more efficient in serving users. Innovation by using smart technology in the form of services is expected to be a solution to these problems. Through this smart technology, libraries can get the title of Smart Libraries because they are able to meet the needs of users more quickly, easily, and accurately. This concept is similar to theconcept Smart City. Relying on application technology that can be applied to gadgets user, so that users get the title Smart User because they can easily access information independently. For librarians, this technology becomes a medium for creating ideas that can later be applied to the needs of users. By relying on smart technologies such as Virtual and Augmented Reality, NFC / RFID, Internet of Things, and other supporting technologies, it is hoped thatcan be made Modern Smart Libraries . Of course, the concept of Smart Libraries must be supported by amindset Smart Librarian and Smart User. This paper describes in simple terms the development of libraries by implementing thetechnology Internet of Thing so that it can be used as an illustration for the development ofbased libraries Internet Of Think- in Indonesia.

Abstract

Augmented Reality (AR) merupakan fenomena yang telah tumbuh bertahun-tahun sejak tahun 1930-an. VR dan AR berkembang pesat ketika telepon pintar (smartphone) dimiliki oleh hampir setiap orang, hal tersebut menguntungkan pengguna perpustakaan yang mengharapkan inovasi layanan perpustakaan. AR dapat diterapakan di perpustakaan yang mana menginginkan alternatif inovasi berbasis teknologi dan digital. Melalui AR perpustakaan dapat menciptakan inovasi interaksi pemustaka dan koleksi. Inovasi AR dapat diarahkan ke dalam koleksi koleksi perpustakaan yang berkaitan dengan bidang kesehatan. Melalui AR ini pemustaka akan merasakan sumber informasi alternatif yang berbasis digital dan teknologi terkini. Dengan meningkatnya literasi seseorang melalui sumber informasi alternatif makan secara perlahan akan meningkatkan derajat kesehatannya.

Abstract

Libraries have an important role in higher education, especially in research and development activities, innovation, and scientific engineering. This important role, among others, is due to its services in the development and processing, restoration of library materials, in addition to carrying out library administration duties. Besides that, the library also has functions of education, information sources, recreation, publication, and information deposit. However, in its development, these functions have not been carried out optimally by the library, in this case the Semarang State University Library (UNNES). This is because there has been no significant breakthrough, so it seems that the library is only needed when the user (read: student) is working on a thesis or final project as a requirement for graduation. Based on this understanding and by adapting marketing concepts, this paper intends to describe the promotional mix concept and its pplication to increase literacy and reading interest among readers.

Abstract

The existence of a university library has a very important role in the process of transferring science and technology, as well as in supporting the activities of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education; research, teaching, and community service. In the current Covid-19 pandemic, it can be said that almost all libraries are also affected in providing services to librarians. Not a few libraries in the early days of the pandemic closed their services, as well as some that continued to open services virtually (digital / online). This situation had stopped for quite a long time. Then the situation moved to the New Normal era, where in this period the library began to adjust its situation, regarding its library service model. There are those who open services entirely online, where libraries do not open services in the form of library visits, there are also those that open online and offline with modifications at some of their service points. This also happened in the Semarang State University Library, which during the New Normal period opened its services gradually. The following article attempts to describe the library services of Semarang State University, more specifically in the section on circulation (borrowing and returning library materials (books).

Abstract

The Library of the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS) is a center for academic activities based on information technology and has been accredited “A”. The main product of the library is a service. Service is the spearhead of the library because it is directly related to users. This study aims to determine the role of (1) service; (2) infrastructure / facil- ities and (3) library collections / information on student achievement index. The research method used is the quantity method using the product moment statistical test (Pearson correlation). The results showed that (1) UMS library service was good according to most respondents but there was no relationship between library services and student achievement index because t count was less than t table (0.250 <0.279); (2) respondents stated that the infrastructure / facilities and infrastructure of the UMS library were in accordance with the expectations of students, but there was no significant relationship between infrastructure / facilities and infrastructure with the student achievement index because t count <t table (0.106 <0.279); (3) there is a significant relationship between the collection / information of the UMS library on the student achievement index where t (0.307)> t table (0.279).

Abstract

Universitas Brawijaya Library has one of the leading work programs in the development and cooperation section, namely managing Smart Homes, because not all universities in Indonesia have this facility as an effort to improve education and community service in realizing an in- formation literate society. The research method is a case study by directly participating in every activity in the Universitas Brawijaya smart house. The results of this study are to describe in detail the activities of work programs that have been carried out in the Smart House of Brawijaya University in order to obtain a clear picture of the importance of the existence of the Smart House in Brawijaya University because it plays a very important role in realizing information literacy in Malang City.

Abstract

This research took place at the Medan City Archives and Library Service. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between li- brarians and the community at the Medan City Archives and Library Service. This type of research uses qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. Data collection methods used were observation, documenta- tion and interviews. The results of this study indicate that the relationship between the librarian and the community in the Department of Library and Archives of Medan City has been implemented well. Librarians carry out their duties and responsibilities as best as possible to the people who come or visit the Medan City Archives and Library Service. This research is an input for all librarians to have good ethics in carrying out their profession as librarian.
