Libraria: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi is a journal for library and information science initiated by FPPTI (Indonesian Higher Education Library Forum ) Central Java, published twice annually in June and December. Libraria: Jurnal Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi welcomes the submission of research, theory, and practice papers relevant to library and information science. The article will be reviewed by the editors and reviewers who are competent in the related field. The review uses double-blind peer review before the journal is published. The journal will publish a selected paper under a Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 4.0 International License. Abstract

A Vitual or Digital Library is one of the systems that has many types of services as well as information objects that support access from those information objects through a digital device. The ebook management managed by Unnes Library aims to provide ease in searching for information such as pictures, documents, as well as databases in digital formats quickly, precisely, and accurately. Collection on a digital library is not limited to electronic documents substituting print books alone, but collection is emphasized on the contents of information, the type from the documents to the results of its tracing. ebook management is essentially an ebook cataloguing program itself. The software stores countless ebook files in a database along with its metadata. eBook is the equivalent of conventional books, the difference in writing is inside digital media. The ebook is read through certain software, commonly referred to as the ebook reader. Even ebook file formats vary, some are pdfs that can be opened with acrobat reader. There are also html-shaped, openable ones with browsing/internet exploration. ebook is an electronic version of a printed book, if the book is generally composed of paper sets while ebook is digital information that can contain pictures or text. In the digital age ebooks began to be in demand because they were small in size, easily accessible anywhere, had more interesting search features, too, the words could be easily as well as quickly rediscovered when searched. It is in this context that the Unnes Library realized its commitment as a House of Sciences that wants to upgrade conventional library services to digital/virtual libraries, which is an accelerated part of innovation by utilizing the ebook Management application as as the management of Electronic Books that have been collected by the Unnes Library.

Abstract

This article aims to share the academic librarian's experiences providing consultation services to library users during Indonesia's Covid-19 pandemic since March 2020. Further, it describes the academic librarian's challenges in developing countries to meet the academic community’s demands. The approach used is the author's personal experiences as an academic librarian. The data were taken from students' questions on personal communication by WhatsApp and Email, then reviewed by the author to find solutions. A review of current literature about the topic deals with issues presented scientifically. This paper's results explain academic librarians' efforts in carrying out their roles during the Covid-19 pandemic. The attempts implemented in the central library of Universitas Sebelas Maret enhance library website content and online consultation services. This article is expected to contribute valuable insight and practical solutions regarding virtual assistance to help students develop their skills and become self-learners during the pandemic.

Abstract

The title of this research is Analysis of Media Literacy Students of the Lancang Kunning University Library Department. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of social media literacy of students in the Library Department of Lancang Kunning University. The method used in this research is descriptive quantification method. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, questionnaires, documentation, interviews, and literature study. The population and sample of this study used a saturated sample, namely the number of active Lancang Kuning University Library Science students in 2022 as many as 197 people. This study uses data analysis techniques using the mean (calculated mean) and grand mean formulas. The results of the study found that the level of social media literacy was at a good level, namely 3.61, with a range of 3.20 to 4.20. The author suggests to students of the Library Department of Lancang Kunning University to continue to improve their social media skills and be better able to use social media as a forum for disseminating information. This can be achieved through literacy activities especially on social media, and increasing awareness of the importance of social media literacy when using social media. Social media competence can also be developed through daily activities in virtual communication by using social media as a virtual communication platform.

Abstract

After being passive for approximately two years due to the pandemic, the library must carry out many recovery activities to restore environmental conditions to improve. During this time the library room is almost always closed, so it is very likely to be damp and dusty. To save it, the library can do something called environmental control. Environmental control is included in preventive preservation activities. This study aims to analyze environmental control in preventive preservation activities at the Kandaga Library, Padjadjaran University after the pandemic. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data was collected using in-depth interviews, observation, and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that environmental control activities in preventive preservation at the Kandaga Unpad Library after the pandemic have changed slightly from the period before the pandemic, where this difference lies in the intensity of its application. The Kandaga Library of Padjadjaran University carries out post-pandemic environmental control of three collection damage factors, namely physical factors which include light, temperature and humidity, and air pollution; chemical factors that are interrelated between the internal conditions of the collection and physical factors; and biological factors, namely insects, fungi, and rodents. However, of the three, for now the library prioritizes physics. This is done because considering these factors have the most significant impact on changes in the physical condition of the collection. The implementation of activity control in the Kandaga Library is still carried out using a simple method.

Abstract

This research is entiled mapping facebook posts as a promotial media for provincipal libraries throught indonesia. The purpose of this study is to find out how to map facebook posts as a promotional media for provincial libraries throught Indonesia. The technique used in this research is descriptive quantitative approach. Statisticcollection strategies the usage of observation, documentation, literature look at, and interviews. The populace in this have a look at is 34 provinces and the pattern is 22 provinces. The result of this study were found in the provinces of Lampung and West Java with 353 posts, Bangka Belitung province with 288 posts, Riau province with 263 posts, Yogyakarta province with 143 posts, Jakarta province and West Kalimantan province with 141 posts. Of the nine indicators of the benefits of library promotion, the most posted are indicators that help inform library activities with the number of posts 1343 or (47.51%), indicators can help introduce existence with the number of posts 544 or (19.24%), indicators attract attention with the number of posts as many as 364 or (12.88%), the indicator helps tell about what is in the library with number of posts 242 or (8.56%), the indicator informs the new book with the number of posts 213 or (7,53%).

Abstract

Visitor counter information system is one of library automation as a form of web-based member visit record development. The visitor counter system used is the parent of SliMS 9 Bulian which was implemented at the Harapan Bersama Polytechnic Library to replace the previous version. To determine the level of acceptance of the system based on the perspective of library members, an information systems research model is needed on acceptance attitudes. The model that suits the purpose of this research is the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) which is a model of acceptance of the information system that will be used by the user. The research method used is qualitative research methods and data collection is based on direct observation and interviews with library members (students, lecturers, and education staff). Analysis of the data obtained in this study shows that the visitor counter system at the Harapan Bersama Polytechnic Library fulfills the main aspects of TAM, namely perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness. Then based on the acceptance analysis, the visitor counter system which is the object of the study can be accepted by members of the Harapan Bersama Polytechnic Library.

Abstract

This research is entitled analysis of the ability of library science students class of 2019 in searching for information using the Google search engine. The purpose of this study was to find out how Lancang Kuning University's 2019 Library Science Students are Capable of Retrieving Information Using the Google Search Engine. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques using observation, questionnaires, interviews, literature studies and documentation. The population and sample in this study amounted to 54 respondents. This study uses data analysis techniques using the Mean formula (calculated average) and the grand mean. The results of this study indicate that the ability of librarian science students class of 2019 at Lancang Kuning University in searching for information using the Google search engine is in the good category with an average value of 3.93 on an interval scale of 3.20-4.20. The author suggests that Library Science Students Class of 2019 at Lancang Kuning University increase their ability to make search statements when accessing information on the Google search engine and evaluate search results so that the information obtained is in accordance with needs.

Abstract

This study aims to find out about the implementation of library accreditation instruments at the SMA/MA level in Kec. Tualang Sakti Kab. Siak. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive research. The results showed that of the 10 schools that had been studied, not all of them implemented library accreditation. The average of the percentages seen, the 6 components contained in the school library instrument at the SMA/MA level as a whole school does not exceed the NA value ≥ 60 or in the overall estimation of the instrument components not more than 50%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT As one of the marketing tools, the information marketing mix can not only be used in libraries, but can be applied to publishing, as a company that has the same vision, which is to increase public interest in reading. The implementation of the information marketing mix in publishing can act as a strategy in providing complete information related to what consumers need and to increase the number of book publications. The purpose of this study is to determine the implementation of the information marketing mix based on the 7Ps, namely product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, and process. The method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The results obtained are (1) Bitread Publishing has implemented the information marketing mix well, (2) one of the elements of the information marketing mix that is quite developed is promotion, and what needs development is the people element, (3) positioning is found as a result of the information marketing mix at Bitread Publishing which functions to build branding, (4) positioning activities become an advantage as well as risks and consequences because they have an impact on the reduced number of book publications compared to the previous year.

Abstract

This paper raises the theme of repositioning the role of university libraries based on observations from a visit to Jawaharal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. The author assumes that some of these role repositioning strategies are possible to be adopted and applied in various universities in Indonesia. This paper describes in general from the observation and interview data obtained. The results of this study reveal that the first JNU library repositioning strategy is to open service hours at prime times, second, to provide a comfortable place to write. Third, facilitating access to global and digital references. Fourth, provide scientific consulting services. And fifth, make the library a laboratory.
