PUSTAKALOKA: Jurnal Kajian Informasi & Perpustakaan is a peer-reviewed journal taken from the library of IAIN Ponorogo on Information and Library Science. PUSTAKALOKA is published twice annually (June and December) by the journal editors from the Library IAIN Ponorogo in cooperation with the Asosiasi Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi Islam (APPTIS) Jawa Timur. Every received article will be reviewed by the journal editors and external editors and reviewers who are competent in each related field. The review uses double-blind peer review before the journal is published. PUSTAKALOKA will publish selected paper under a Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 4.0 International License. And, every article is free of charge for authors and readers.

Model Pengembangan PLUG-IN SLiMS Pada Komunitas SLiMS Kudus Zaid Abdurrahman; Thoriq Tri Prabowo

This study aims to determine the role of Kudus SLiMS Community in development of the SLiMS plug-in. Researcher uses open-source development model by Ibrahim Haddad and Brian Warner from The Linux Foundation to help researcher describing SLiMS Plug-ins development in Kudus SLiMS Community. This research uses qualitative research method. Method of data collection is using direct observation, non-structured interviews, and documentation technique. The data analysis method is using Miles and Huberman method. The result of this study is that the role of Kudus SLiMS Community in development of the SLiMS plug-in is as a source of inspiration/idea for developing a plug-in, a place for the member of the Kudus SLiMS Community to share their developed plug-ins. Based on the findings of researcher related to the following study, in the future it is necessary to do further research about the development of the SLiMS plug-ins by other local SLiMS Community as a comparison with the development of the SLiMS plug-in by the Kudus SLiMS Community. The researcher hopes that more and more similar study is carried out so that the SLiMS application developer, local SLiMS Communities, and general public get the comprehensive picture about how SLiMS as one of the open-source based applications is developed.

Learning is an attemp to acquire cleverness and knowledge. It is also similar to training. In other words, it means behavior change or respond which is initiated by experience. behaviour change from dissability to do something to ability to do something is called learning. the common understanding, whish is followed by lecturers and has to be accepted by student. The success or achievement of learning is measured by how to the student can demonstrate well taht they are able to enunciate clearly all knowledge wanted by the lecturer. It what has been enunciated is not appropriate with the lecture desire, its means that the student has not studied yet.

ABSTRAKTujuan makalah ini untuk: (1) memberikan informasi hasil preview kebijakan OAJ, khususnya jurnal bidang ilmu perpustakaan dan informasi yang terbit secara online; dan (2) mengetahui berbagai upaya yang dapat dilakukan pustakawan dalam peningkatan kualitas jurnal dan mendukung gerakan OAJ di Indonesia. Metode kajian menggunakan studi literatur dan penelusuran jurnal di Portal Garuda – IPI. Data kajian dijabarkan secara deskriptif. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) jurnal bidang ilmu perpustakaan dan informasi yang terbit secara online di Indonesia sebagian besar belum menginformasikan pernyataan kebijakan OAJ secara jelas dan lengkap di situs jurnal; dan (2) diperlukan peran aktif pustakawan dalam upaya peningkatan kualitas jurnal dan mendukung gerakan OAJ di Indonesia, khususnya jurnal bidang ilmu perpustakaan dan informasi.ABSTRACTThe purpose of this paper is: (1) to provide information about OAJ policy preview results, especially the journal of library and information science in Indonesia which is published online and (2) to know the various ways from librarians in improving journal quality and support OAJ movement in Indonesia. The study methods use literature study and journal tracking at Portal Garuda - IPI. The data assessment were reported descriptively. The results of the study show that (1) the journal of library and information science published online in Indonesia has not informed the OAJ policy statement on the journal website; and (2) need the active role of librarians in efforts to improve the quality of journals and support OAJ in Indonesia, especially in the field of library and information science.

Reading media as tools to convey information has undergone physical radical changes. Since the invention of the printing press in the 15th century, until the digital revolution in the 1980s, the habits of reading people have undergone many changes. In the past people had to buy reading media in print, nowadays only by downloading files in digital format, someone can already do reading activities on cellphones, tablets, and computers. No exception for the habit of reading academic material on students, several studies show a tendency for student preferences in reading academic material in digital format rather than in printed format. This study examined the preferences of the graduate students in University of Indonesia in reading academic reading materials such as textbooks and scientific journals. An online questionnaire used to collect data and 68 graduate students participated in this study.The results of the study show that although postgraduate students prefer digital formats, the print format is more convenient and make them more focused on reading.

Merebaknya wabah Corona Virus Disease 2019 (Covid-19) menimbulkan berbagai macam aktifitas yang berkaitan dengan banyak orang menjadi tertunda. Anjuran diterapkannya social distancing membuat banyak kalangan harus lebih kreatif untuk tetap menjalankan aktifitasnya, tidak terkecuali perpustakaan. Kegiatan kelas literasi Informasi yang biasa diselenggarakan di perpustakaan secara tatap muka (luring) harus tertunda selama masa pandemi belum berakhir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tantangan dan peluang yang dihadapi perpustakaan dalam penyelenggaraan kelas literasi informasi daring selama masa pandemi Covid-19. Penulisan artikel ini menggunakan metode literature review, yaitu dengan mengkaji literatur dari topik yang relevan dengan judul penelitian. Literatur yang digunakan meliputi buku, jurnal, artikel ilmiah yang saling terkait dan menganalisis data secara deskriptif tentang kegiatan kelas literasi yang telah dilaksanakan oleh beberapa perpustakaan. Tantangan yang dihadapi saat penyelenggaraan kelas literasi informasi daring selama masa pandemi ialah minimnya interaksi secara langsung dengan peserta, koneksi internet lambat, kurangnya penguasaan materi serta pengajar tidak dapat melihat dan memberikan solusi secara keseluruhan terhadap kendala yang dihadapi oleh masing-masing peserta. Sedangkan Peluang yang dapatkan ialah perpustakaan dapat menjangkau peserta lebih banyak tanpa terkendala keterbatasan ruang dan waktu jika dibandingkan saat pelaksanaan kelas literasi informasi secara luring dan meningkatnya akses e-resources perpustakaan.

Information management is a concept that can be viewed differently depending on the context and application. management of information can be apllied to public or private sector, non profit organization or commercial enterprise. Similarly, in the context of library, although the main task of library which provide the access of information that contains knowledge and wisdom for its user is uncchanching, the task of managing information continnues to grow and change. the library deals with more challenging task to prepare precise information to its user at the right time and at the right moment for the right reasons and in the correct format as well. At this time the librarians and information managers in the library and information center should improve their capabilities in information management. Information management is very important. This paper discusses the concept of information, the concept of information management with several aspects in it, information managers in managing information in an effort to provide knowledge to its user.

Perpustakaan merupakan lembaga non provit yang bergerak dibidang jasa dan informasi. Produk utama perpustakaan adalah menyediakan jasa dan layanan informasi kepada khalayak yang membutuhkan. Dalam hal ini Salah satu faktor kesuksesan perpustakaan adalah sikap pustakawan dalam melayani kebutuhan informasi pemustaka. adab dan sopan santun dalam berbicara, berpenampilan bersih dan smart, tulus dan mampu memahami karakter pemustaka yang beragam sangat diperlukan dan untuk terus di tingkatkan guna terwujudnya pelayanan prima kepada pemustaka.Keterampilan sosial pustakawan dalam melakukan komunikasi antar pribadi tidak saja berfungi untuk melayani pemustaka, keterampilan tersebut juga diperlukan saat bekerja dengan team, membangun jaringan, mampu menyelesaikan konflik dengan team maupun dengan pemustaka. dalam memupuk keterampilan tersebut, maka diperlukan pengetahuan mengenal diri sendiri sehingga dalam makalah ini dibahas pula beragam karakter diri dan karakter pemustaka, serta cara-cara menyikapinya. Library is a non-provit institution engaged in services and information. The main product of the library is providing information services and services to audiences in need. In this case One of the factors of library success is the attitude of librarians in serving the needs of information pemustaka. Adab and manners in speaking, clean and smart, sincere and able to understand the character of the various librarians is needed and to continue to be improved in order to realize the excellent service to the user. The social skills of librarians in interpersonal communication not only serve to serve the user, such skills are also needed when working with teams, building networks, being able to resolve conflicts with teams and with users. In fostering these skills, it takes knowledge to know yourself so that in this paper also discussed a variety of self character and user characters , and ways to react.

Peran Perpustakaan Dalam Mengembangkan Institutional Repository di UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta

This paper was written with the aim to determine the role of libraries in the development of Institutional Repository (IR) at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This is because IR is a unique collection owned by institutionand needs to be maintained and preserved. In addition, IR collections in digital library has also raised the name of the institution, achieved 10th rank in Indonesia for Webometrics repository in 2012, then rose to the rank 5 in 2013, and increased again to rank 3 by 2014. Role of the library become very important in the development of IR. Activities undertaken by the library is in terms of (1) collecting; (2) managing; (3) preserving; (4) evaluating; and (5) promoting.

Abstract : Academic Society Many universities produce a collection of local content in academic activities such as scientific work, final assignments, thesis, thesis, dissertation, scientific journal articles and so on. The transfer of the form of local content collection from physical form to digital form is a solution to overcome the problem of storage and dissemination of information content in it. Digitizing local content activities must pay attention to several problems that occur in the stages of digitalization, namely pre, digitalization and post-digitalization such as issues of legality / copy right, staff problems, the number of collections to be digitized and workflow settingsAbstrak : Sivitas Akademika Perguruan tinggi banyak menghasilkan koleksi local content dalam kegiatan akademisnya misalnya karya ilmiah, tugas akhir, skripsi, thesis, disertasi, artikel jurnal ilmiah dan sebagainya. Pengalihan bentuk koleksi local content dari bentuk fisik menjadi bentuk digital merupakan solusi untuk mengatasi permasalahan penyimpanan dan penyebarluasan isi informasi didalamnya. Kegiatan digitalisasi local content harus memperhatikan beberapa permasalahan yang terjadi dalam tahapan-tahapan digitalisasi yaitu pra, digitalisasi dan pasca digitalisasi misalnya permasalahan legalitas/copy right, permasalahan staf, jumlah koleksi yang akan didigitalkan dan pengaturan alur kerja.
