Abstract

This research is motivated by the teacher's inability to implement integrated thematic learning, especially in stimulating students to think critically in solving problems. This study aims to describe how to improve integrated thematic learning with Problem Based Learning models in class IV SDN 08 Campago Ipuh. This research is a classroom action research (CAR). Conducted in two cycles, with 3 meetings. The research flow includes planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The instruments used are observation sheets and test sheets. Research subjects were teachers and fourth grade students of SDN 08 Campago Ipuh Bukittinggi, totaling 26 students. The results showed an increase in: a) RPP in the first cycle on average 77.5% (B), cycle II 94.4% (SB), b) Implementation in the aspect of teachers in the first cycle on average 69.8% (B ), cycle II 92.8% (SB), while in the aspect of students in the first cycle on average 75% (B), cycle II 92.8% (SB). Thus, it can be concluded that the PBL model can improve the integrated thematic learning process in primary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the experimental method on cognitive learning outcomes of science in fifth grade students of SD Negeri 04 Simaung Agam. This type of research is experimental research with an experimental quasi design. The sample was selected using random sampling technique and purposive sampling. Two classes are taken to be an experimental class and a control class. From the results of the lottery, it was found that the VA class was the experimental class and the VB class was the control class. The results showed that the t-test score with a significant level of 0.005 was tcount (5.968)> ttable (2.0106). Thus it can be concluded that there is an effect of the use of experimental methods on cognitive learning outcomes of science of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 04 SimaungKata kunci : Experimen Method,Science Learning , Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between study habits and the learning outcomes of the student’s mathematical konowledge in the 5th Grade of all Elementary Schools in Cluster IV of Payakumbuh Barat District, Payakumbuh. This is a correlational research. Sampling was conducted with the saturted sampling technique and the sample includes 5th Grade students in all of Elementary Schools in Cluster IV of Payakumbuh Barat District, Payakumbuh. Data were collected through tests and the hypothesis testing used a product moment correlation formula. Based on the results of the research, it was found that the study habits and the learning outcomes of the 5th Grade students of Elementary Schools in Cluster Iv of Payakumbuh Barat District, Payakumbuh are categorized as moderate. The result of the product moment correlation test shows that tcount (0,954)>ttable (0,177), which means that there is a correlation between study habits anda the learning outcomes of the students’ mathematical knowledge in the 5th Grade of all Elementary Schools in Cluster IV of Payakumbuh Barat District, Payakumbuh.
