Abstract

In Islamic economics, there are several sectors that do not exist in conventional economics, namely voluntary sectors such as waqf. Waqf has played an important role in the social, economic, and cultural development of society. Now there are several digital-based applications that aim to make it easier for people to participate in waqf. Therefore, the author wants to examine how digital finance is applied in waqf in the Amalsholeh application. The main objective of this study is to identify digital finance-based cash waqf and understand its application in the Amalsholeh application. This study is a combination of literature research and descriptive research. Literature research is research in which the source data comes from books. Descriptive research is research that focuses on analysing a research object. The author also used previous research on waqf. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, namely by observing the amalsholeh waqf application. The type of observation carried out was participant observation, whereby the author used the amalsholeh application. The author also used inductive techniques to identify data by drawing conclusions from various data. The steps in inductive research are data collection, data analysis, and then drawing conclusions from the findings. The result of this research is that waqf is a form of charity that is encouraged in Islam. Waqf is not only in the form of goods but can also be in the form of money. In Indonesia, digital waqf based on digital finance has emerged, making it easier for people to donate money online. There are many waqf applications, one of which is the Amalsholeh application, which has a waqf feature. Users of the Amalsholeh application can choose any waqf programme they want with various payment methods, and there is no minimum donation amount.

Abstract

The development of digital technology and the rapid growth of marketplace platforms have encouraged companies to implement e-commerce management systems to increase online sales. PT. Indja Mas Murni, an aluminum kitchenware manufacturing company, adopted this system to expand market reach and improve operational efficiency. This study aims to analyze the implementation of an e-commerce management system in online sales, identify existing challenges, and examine strategies to improve sales performance.This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a case study method. The research population covered the online sales activities of PT. Indja Mas Murni, with key informants consisting of the company owner, operational manager, and marketing manager. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation using primary and secondary data sources. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative analysis. The results indicate that PT. Indja Mas Murni has implemented an integrated e-commerce management system through marketplace utilization, cloud-based inventory management, integrated customer service, digital payment integration, and e-commerce analytics tools to monitor sales performance and analyze customer purchasing patterns. This implementation significantly increased online sales. However, challenges remain, including limited technological infrastructure, internal resistance to change, limited digital competencies, and system integration complexity. In conclusion, an e-commerce management system plays an important role in improving online sales and enhancing company competitiveness.

Abstract

The continuous growth in the use of and purchasing transactions on e-commerce platforms has encouraged logistics service providers to compete in marketing their services in order to attract consumers. This study examines the factors that influence e-commerce users’ decisions in selecting logistics service providers for product delivery. A quantitative approach with an associative research design was employed by analyzing independent variables consisting of cost, time, area coverage, and delivery service features, with intention as a mediating variable and user selection decision as the dependent variable.The respondents in this study were e-commerce users in Palembang City. The sampling technique used was non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling method, conducted through the distribution of online questionnaires measured using a Likert scale, supported by secondary data sourced from academic journals, websites, and other relevant sources. Data analysis was carried out using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). A total of 247 respondents met the research criteria. The results show that shipping cost and delivery service quality have a positive and significant effect on users’ selection decisions. Meanwhile, time, area coverage, and service features do not have a significant effect, either directly or indirectly. These findings indicate that cost and service quality are the main considerations and play an important role in shaping users’ intentions and decisions, followed by other factors, although their effects are not significant. Theoretically, this study extends existing knowledge by demonstrating causal relationships among factors influencing consumer decisions in choosing logistics service providers. Practically, the findings are expected to serve as a reference for logistics service providers in e-commerce to create new innovations, particularly by offering competitive pricing and continuously improving service quality.

Abstract

This context necessitates a critical reassessment of International Human Resource Management (IHRM) and Global Talent Management (GTM) practices to sustain employee engagement and long-term organizational performance—especially in emerging markets like Indonesia, where glocal (global-local) tensions shape HR dynamics. This study aims to analyze how IHRM and GTM strategies contribute to enhancing employee engagement and sustainable organizational performance in MNCs. Using a qualitative approach with a descriptive-analytical design, this research employs library research. The population comprises peer-reviewed academic literature; the sample consists of 10 purposively selected journal articles (2018–2025). Data were collected via documentation and systematic keyword searches (e.g., “Global Talent Management”, “Employee Engagement”) across academic databases (Emerald, Springer, ProQuest, MDPI). Sources include scholarly journals, research reports, and case studies of MNCs in Indonesia. Data analysis applied content and thematic analysis through three stages: data reduction, thematic categorization, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal three core pillars: (1) digital transformation as a strategic enabler for talent management, (2) glocal strategy integration balancing global standards and local adaptation, and (3) language competence (particularly English) as essential career capital. Furthermore, human-centric HR practices and inclusive employee voice mechanisms significantly strengthen emotional, cognitive, and behavioral engagement. The study implies that MNCs should adopt adaptive IHRM frameworks that harmonize global cohesion, cultural sensitivity, and ethical digital integration key for talent retention, organizational resilience, and sustainable competitiveness in volatile global markets.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital leadership on performance efficiency mediated by service digitalization at Bea dan Cukai TMP B Palembang. Digital transformation in public organizations requires leadership capable of directing the effective use of technology to enhance organizational performance. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 47 employees of Bea dan Cukai TMP B Palembang. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that digital leadership has a positive and significant effect on service digitalization and performance efficiency. Furthermore, service digitalization is proven to act as a mediating variable that strengthens the influence of digital leadership on performance efficiency. These findings emphasize that the success of improving performance efficiency in public institutions largely depends on digital leadership supported by the optimal implementation of technology-based services.

Abstract

This study examines the use of TikTok live streaming as a marketing medium in thrifting businesses operated by university students. The growing popularity of TikTok as a digital business platform provides opportunities for students to increase their income; however, not all entrepreneurs fully understand how to utilize this feature effectively. The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of TikTok Live in increasing students’ income and to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. This research employs a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving students who actively run thrifting businesses via TikTok Live. The results indicate that TikTok Live plays an effective role in increasing students’ income by expanding market reach, enabling direct interaction with consumers, and facilitating product promotion. Nevertheless, challenges such as time management, intense competition, and limited understanding of the TikTok algorithm remain obstacles for student entrepreneurs.

Abstract

Value Added Tax (VAT) is a fiscal policy instrument that plays an important role in increasing government revenue. However, increases in the VAT rate also have the potential to exert pressure on household economic conditions. The implementation of a VAT rate increase to 12% has led to higher prices of goods and services, particularly daily consumption needs. This condition may affect purchasing power and household financial stability, especially among industrial sector employees in Balikpapan City, who generally have fixed incomes and household expenditure structures that are sensitive to price changes. This study aims to analyze the effect of the 12% VAT rate increase on the financial stability of households of industrial sector employees in Balikpapan City. The research employs a quantitative approach with descriptive and verificative research designs. The study population consists of 70 industrial sector employees in Balikpapan City, with a sample of 42 respondents selected using the Slovin formula and a random sampling technique. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires, observations, interviews, and literature reviews. The data sources comprise primary and secondary data. Data analysis was conducted using SPSS software through validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, simple linear regression analysis, t-tests, and coefficient of determination analysis.The results indicate that the 12% VAT rate increase has a negative and significant effect on the financial stability of households of industrial sector employees. The majority of respondents experienced an increase in monthly household expenditures following the implementation of the policy, resulting in a decline in household budget management capacity. The increase in the VAT rate to 12% is proven to reduce household financial stability among industrial sector employees. These findings emphasize the importance of considering microeconomic impacts in the formulation of fiscal policy to ensure that efforts to increase government revenue do not impose excessive pressure on the welfare of fixed-income households.

Abstract

The transformation of the world of work due to digitalization and the COVID-19 pandemic has encouraged the implementation of flexible work systems, one of which is Work From Anywhere (WFA). This change is in line with the entry of Generation Z (Gen Z) as the dominant group in the world of work which has the characteristics of being adaptive to technology and prioritizing flexibility. The property sector in Makassar City, especially the marketing division, which previously applied conventional work patterns, is an important context for studying Gen Z's work productivity in the WFA system. This research aims to analyze the influence of work motivation, work commitment, work-life balance, organizational culture, WFA system, psychological well-being, and work flexibility on Gen Z work productivity in the marketing division of property companies in Makassar City. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey design. The research population was all 100 Gen Z employees in the marketing division of property companies in Makassar City, all of whom were sampled using a total sampling technique. Data was collected through questionnaires as primary data and analyzed using linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS software. The research results show that work motivation, the WFA system, and psychological well-being have a positive and significant effect on Gen Z's work productivity. Meanwhile, work-life balance and work flexibility have a significant effect in a negative direction. Work commitment and organizational culture do not have a significant effect on work productivity. The conclusion of this research confirms that increasing Gen Z's work productivity in the WFA system is strongly influenced by motivational factors and psychological well-being as well as effective management of work flexibility.

Abstract

Poverty remains a complex development issue and continues to be a critical problem in Indonesia. This study aims to examine the effects of population size, life expectancy, mean years of schooling, and the open unemployment rate on poverty levels. The research employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM). The analysis is based on secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (Badan Pusat Statistik), covering 15 regencies/cities over the period 2017–2023, resulting in a total of 105 observations. The findings indicate that all independent variables simultaneously have a significant contribution to poverty levels. Partially, population size and the open unemployment rate show a significant positive relationship with poverty. In contrast, quality-of-life variables, represented by life expectancy and mean years of schooling, have a significant negative effect on poverty levels. These results suggest the importance of an integrated development strategy that emphasizes improving access to education and healthcare, managing population dynamics, and expanding employment opportunities in order to reduce poverty sustainably.

Abstract

Employee performance plays a crucial role in determining organizational effectiveness, particularly in organizations that rely on service quality and employee commitment. Leadership style and work responsibility are considered important factors that influence employee performance, both directly and indirectly through psychological aspects such as work motivation. This study aims to analyze the effect of leadership style and responsibility on employee performance, with work motivation as a mediating variable at Koperasi Unit Desa (KUD) Setia Manggung.  This research employed a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. The population consisted of all 38 employees of KUD Setia Manggung, and a saturated sampling technique was applied. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling based on Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) with the assistance of SmartPLS 3 software. The results indicate that leadership style and responsibility have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Both variables also significantly influence work motivation, while work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, work motivation partially mediates the relationship between leadership style and employee performance, as well as between responsibility and employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of effective leadership, employee responsibility, and motivation in improving employee performance.
