Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of product quality, promotion, and design on purchasing decisions for Fipper brand footwear products in Surabaya, both individually and simultaneously. In addition, this study also attempted to identify the factors that most influence purchasing decisions for Fipper footwear products. The independent variables used are Product Quality (X1), Promotion (X2), and Design (X3), while the dependent variable is Purchase Decision (Y). In this study, the sample taken was 100 people in Surabaya who use Fipper brand footwear products using random sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out by indirect observation and distributing questionnaires to Fipper product users in Surabaya. This study uses Multiple Linear Regression Analysis based on SPSS software. From the results of the T-Test analysis, it is known that product quality (X1) and promotion (X2) do not have a significant effect on purchasing decisions for Fipper footwear products in Surabaya. On the other hand, the design variable (X3) has a significant effect on purchasing decisions, so that design is the main factor influencing consumer decisions. In addition, an R² value of 0.585 or 58.5% was obtained. This means that product quality, promotion, and design together have a positive influence on purchasing decisions for Fipper brand footwear products.

Abstract

The Institute of Public Administration (IPDN) is a civil service educational institution that aims to form cadres of state civil servants with integrity, discipline, and professionalism. As a long-term government effort to support bureaucratic reform, IPDN provides free education to selected cadets, who after graduating are immediately appointed as civil servants. This study aims to evaluate the performance of caregivers, especially Kasat Dharma, in forming the personality of cadets at IPDN South Sulawesi Campus. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection methods through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Informants were determined through purposive sampling techniques that included caregivers, cadets, and campus structural officials. The results of the study showed that the performance of Kasat Dharma was quite good in terms of coaching, although there were still obstacles in interpersonal communication and coordination between units. Based on Herzberg's two-factor theory, it was found that supporting factors for Kasat Dharma's performance include intrinsic motivation such as moral responsibility, pride in the results of coaching, and high dedication. Meanwhile, inhibiting factors include the limited number of caregivers, minimal training, lack of supporting facilities, and a less than optimal coordination system. The combination of these two factors affects the stability and effectiveness of the overall performance of caregivers. Therefore, improving the work environment and strengthening the support system needs to be done in order to maintain and improve the performance of caregivers in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

In order to have a flexible, effective workplace that promotes the psychological health of employees, leaders must be able to use technology into their leadership style.  The purpose of this study is to examine how digital leadership affects PT Semen Padang employees' job satisfaction using intrinsic motivation as a mediating factor.  140 respondents were chosen using proportionate random sampling approaches for this quantitative study, which use the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) analysis technique.  The study's findings suggest that intrinsic motivation and job satisfaction are positively and significantly impacted by digital leadership.  The association between digital leadership and job satisfaction has been shown to be considerably mediated by intrinsic motivation, which likewise has a positive and considerable impact on job satisfaction.  The Self-Determination Theory (SDT), which holds that meeting fundamental psychological needs like competence, autonomy, and connectivity can boost intrinsic motivation and eventually lead to greater job satisfaction, is supported by these findings.  The study's results highlight how crucial it is for managers to cultivate digital leadership as a tactic for raising worker motivation and job satisfaction, particularly when dealing with the difficulties posed by digital transformation in the industrial workplace.

Abstract

PT. Era Bangun Telecomindo Regional East Java (PT EBTEL JATIM) is a company dedicated to providing fiber optic cable network services starting from the installation of new networks, network repairs and network rejuvenation in East Java which experiences problems in waste management and the emergence of high project fines due to lack of knowledge of risk identification, risk mitigation and green supply chain management. The purpose of the research is to find out the risk mitigation analysis that occurs in implementing Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM). This study uses a quantitative descriptive approach with the House Of Risk (HOR) method to analyze the risks within the company's Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) framework. Data collection through the interview and questionnaire process, and data processing uses formula functions in Microsoft Excel. The results of the study found that there is risk identification, risk assessment, and risk mitigation from the company's Green Supply Chain Management framework, which can reduce the cost of fines incurred by the company.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of managerial ownership, institutional ownership, profitability, and leverage on firm value, with firm size as a moderator. High firm value will send a positive signal to investors. This quantitative study uses 165 observational data obtained from the financial statements of non-cyclical consumer sector companies (2019-2023). This research tests eight hypotheses using panel data regression involving firm size as a moderating variable (Moderated Regression Analysis–MRA). The results show that institutional ownership and leverage (DER) have no effect on firm value. Meanwhile, managerial ownership shows a positive effect on firm value, and profitability (ROE) shows a negative effect on firm value. Furthermore, in testing the moderation model, the firm size variable weakens the effect of institutional ownership on firm value. This interaction effect is not apparent in testing managerial ownership (MAN), profitability (ROE), and leverage (DER) on firm value (PBV). Other findings indicate that firm size in the study does not act as a pure moderator, but rather as a quasi-moderator.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of transformational leadership on Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) with the mediating role of organizational culture among employees of Hotel Daima Padang. The reason for conducting this study is the discovery of low levels of OCB through a pre-survey, as well as the importance of leadership and organizational culture in improving OCB in the hospitality industry. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with a census technique involving 54 respondents. To analyze the data, Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS) was used with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The findings of the study indicate that: (1) transformational leadership has a positive and significant influence on OCB (β = 0.658, p = 0.000), (2) transformational leadership has a positive and significant influence on organizational culture (β = 0.634, p = 0.000), (3) organizational culture positively and significantly influences OCB (β = 0.567, p = 0.000), and (4) organizational culture significantly mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and OCB (β = 0.363, p = 0.000). This study also confirms Social Exchange Theory (SET) as a theoretical foundation, which shows that the reciprocal relationship between leaders and employees results in additional work behavior. The results of this study provide practical contributions for the management of Hotel Daima Padang to strengthen the transformational leadership approach and create a collaborative work culture to support OCB in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

Since the early 1990s, the complexity of ERP systems has posed a challenge for practitioners, but the amount of empirical research exploring new ERP projects has increased over the past ten years. The progress of information technology (IT) has been disrupted by the emergence of new trending and rapidly evolving topics, causing the focus of information systems (IS) research to continuously shift to new issues before the theory or normative knowledge for existing topics is fully developed. The situation occurring in ERP research reflects a problem hindering the progress of the IS discipline: widespread dissatisfaction with the delay between the practical issues faced by practitioners and the normative knowledge generated by academic research. Using ERP as an example, this paper presents two main arguments: (a) IT-based innovations can be addressed by recognizing the important patterns behind each emerging IT phenomenon; and (b) once these important patterns are recognized, a complementary logic between variance- and process-oriented lessons can be proposed, which benefits the advancement of the ERP research model and provides relevant and timely practical lessons.
