Abstract

The aim of this work is to study theoretically, by mathematical model development, the effect of particle size distribution on the performance of rotary dryer to dry ammonium sulphate fertilizer assuming plug flow with axial dispersion pattern (PFDA model) for solid particle flow. The mathematical model development was carried out by combining the drying processes model with particle size distribution model. Particle size distribution models used are Rosin-Rommler model and Gamma distribution model. For simplicity, the model of drying processes of solid particles in the rotary dryer was developed by assuming of uniform air conditions (temperature and humidity) along the rotary dryer as in the entry conditions. The resulting differential equations were solved analytically under Matlab 6.1 facility.Since this model, solid hold up, and axial dispersion number were obtained from empirical correlations in the literatures. The drying rate of ammonium sulphate fertilizer in rotary dryer was estimated using isothermal diffusion model with effective diffusivity of moisture in the particle obtained from previous study [2]. Using Gamma function distribution, this research showed that for the value of the coefficient of variance (CV) less than 0.5, particle size distribution does not have significant effect on dryer performance. For the value of CV greater than 0.5, the dryer performance increase (or outlet solid moisture content decrease) with increasing the value of CV. The application of Rosin-Rammler model gives lower prediction of outlet solid moisture content compared to the application of Gamma function model.

Abstract

Shallot is an important spice and seasoning in Indonesia. It is consumed almost daily in many dishes. The objective of this experiment was to study the effect of the medium and the variety on the yield of shallots grown in a polybag. The experiments were arranged in a two-factorial randomized complete block design with three replications. The factors were medium (1 soil: 1 paddy husk ash and 1 soil: 1 compost) and variety (Agrihorti 1 and Mentes). Data were statistically analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), and the means were compared using Honestly Significant Difference (HSD) at P < 0.05. There was no interaction between medium and variety. Overall, all treatments did not significantly affect yield. Varieties were significant differences on bulb diameter; however, they were not significant differences on bulb height, fresh bulb weight per polybag, and bulb number per polybag. Those media are considered as precise media due to they contain organic materials.

Abstract

Sekolah alam merupakan salah satu pendidikan alternatif yang menggunakan alam sebagai media belajar. Pembelajaran di sekolah alam menggunakan metode action learning atau peserta didik mengalami pembelajaran secara langsung. Melalui program sekolah alam, anak didik tidak hanya mengeksplor potensi yang dimiliki tetapi juga membina nilai-nilai moral pada setiap kegiatan sekolah alam. Sebagaimana bunyi Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia No. 20 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional bahwa pendidikan tidak hanya membentuk manusia Indonesia yang cerdas, namun juga memiliki kepribadian atau berkarakter, sehingga akan melahirkan generasi bangsa yang berkarakter sesuai dengan nilai-nilai luhur Pancasila dan ajaran agama. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan dan mengetahui (1) sekolah alam sebagai media meningkatkan minat belajar anak di Dusun Burne , (2) materi sekolah alam sebagai pendidikan alternatif dalam pembinaan potensi yang di miliki oleh anak-anak di Dusun Burne, (3) muatan nilai-nilai moral pada materi sekolah alam sebagai pendidikan alternatif dalam pembinaan moral di dusun Burne.

Abstract

Wastewater from the food industry that contains a high organic load, such as wastewater from the tofu manufacturing process, requires an appropriate and efficient treatment system to reduce pollutants before being discharged into water bodies. The most suitable treatment for high organic loads is the anaerobic treatment system. The anaerobic treatment process is a system of suspended media, attached media, or the combination thereof as a hybrid. This study uses a Hybrid Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (HUASB) reactor with the consideration that this reactor has advantages in maintaining high concentrations of biomass, high operating load rates, good decomposition capabilities, and good solid-liquid separation due to suitable granulation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the addition of the trace metal FeCl3 on biogas production and the ability to remove pollutants in the tofu industrial process wastewater treatment in the HUASB reactor. The operation of the reactor uses variations in the concentration of tofu industrial waste water (75 and 100%) and trace metal concentrations (0.3–0.6 mg/L). The optimum biogas production was obtained with 8190 mL at a concentration of 75% tofu industrial waste water, a trace metal concentration of 0.6 mg/L FeCl3, and removal of COD and TSS of 94.09% and 94.2%, respectively. The role of the trace metal FeCl3in the anaerobic process shows that it is a source of nutrition for increasing the growth of microorganisms in anaerobic systems so that biogas production and pollutant removal are increased.

Abstract

Hasi lpenelitian ini secara garis besar dapat disimpulkan bahwa Kesenian Kuda Lumping di Desa Banjaranyar telah lahir dan berkembang sejak tahun 2005, namun di dalam perjalanannya kesenian kuda lumping sempat berhenti sementara atau vakum padatahun 2008 dan diaktifkan kembali padatahun 2012 dengan mayoritas pemain yang berusia muda. Di dalam perkembangannya kesenian kuda lumping di Desa Banjaranyar bisa dikatakan maju walaupun pernah mengalami kevakuman, ini terbukti dengan eksisnya kesenian kuda lumping melakukan pementasan di acara-acara hajatan baik di daerah maupun di luar daerah. Upaya pelestarian kesenian kuda lumping di Desa Banjaranyar dilakukan oleh semua lapisan masyarakat, seniman, serta aparat pemerintah di Desa Banjaranyar yang selalu berpartisipasi dan memberi dukungan di dalam perkembangan kesenian kuda lumping agar tetap eksis di kalangan masyarakat.Kata Kunci: Kuda Lumping dan Kesenian LokalABSTRACTThe guideline of the result could be concluded that the act of Kuda Lumping at Banjaranyar had been started and developed since 2005, but in the trip of that art ever stopped for a while or vacuum at 2008, and it had been started again at 2012 with the mayority of the actor was young people. In the process of developing kuda lumping art could be said that it had a progress altought it ever stopped, it had been proven by the existantial of kuda lumping art to show the performance in any kluds of events or ceremony at the region or in other region. Abstract

The general election (Pemilu) is a process by which people elect individuals to political positions at various levels in Indonesia. Elections are conducted to elect leaders such as presidents or executive officials, representatives of the people in the legislature, and village heads. A quality election will certainly give birth to quality leaders as well. The Village Head as a leader at the village level will represent the quality of a village. Thus, the function of the Village Head towards village development is to think, plan, and implement. One of the efforts made by the Cianjur Regency Government to improve the quality of the implementation of the simultaneous village elections is by creating an E-Administration system to be used in the registration process for candidates for village heads. The purpose of creating this E-Administration system is to facilitate the organizers and prospective village head candidates in the implementation of registration The implementation method in this service activity goes through several preparatory stages, namely First, increasing commitment. Second, development and harmonization of the e-administration system prototype. Third, supervision of the legalization process. And fourth, mentoring/technology transfer of the e-administration system. The results of this research are the formation of an E-Administration system designed by the IT Team of the Faculty of Engineering, Suryakancana University, which is adaptive to existing systems in stakeholders or institutions.

Abstract

Job satisfaction plays a crucial role in enhancing employee productivity and efficiency. High job satisfaction motivates employees to perform better, while dissatisfaction can lead to decreased motivation and performance. Companies must consider factors that contribute to job satisfaction to foster a harmonious work environment. This study analyzes the impact of financial compensation, work facilities, and workload on employee job satisfaction at PT. Cakrawala Cemerlang Box in Mojokerto. Using a quantitative approach with a correlational research design, the study involved 36 office employees as participants. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results indicate that financial compensation, work facilities, and workload each have a significant effect on employee job satisfaction, both individually and collectively. With a determination coefficient of 78.5%, these three factors account for the majority of variations in job satisfaction. In conclusion, increasing financial compensation, ensuring adequate work facilities, and implementing effective workload management significantly enhance employee job satisfaction. This highlights the importance of corporate strategies in managing these aspects to support employee performance and well-being.

Abstract

In the manufacturing industry such as PT. Anugrah Aneka Box, employee performance is a crucial aspect because it has a direct impact on productivity, product quality, and operational efficiency. This study is motivated by the increasing demands for product and service quality in the manufacturing sector. Optimal employee performance not only ensures smooth production processes, but also affects customer satisfaction and the company's reputation. This study aims to analyze the influence of Work Environment, Work Culture, and Individual Characteristics on Employee Performance at PT. Anugrah Aneka Box in Gresik, East Java. The research sample consisted of all employees of the Corrugated Paper Box division, totaling 89 people. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires, while data measurement used a Likert scale. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques. The results of the study showed that partially, Work Environment, Work Culture, and Individual Characteristics each had a significant effect on Employee Performance. Simultaneously, these three variables also had a significant effect on Employee Performance at PT. Anugrah Aneka Box in Gresik, East Java.

Abstract

Optimal performance can be achieved when every individual in the organization works effectively and efficiently. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership style, work ethic, and job satisfaction on employee performance at the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (Direktorat Jenderal Pajak/DJP) East Java II. The research sample consisted of 53 employees selected using purposive sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression methods. The partial test results show that leadership style does not significantly affect employee performance, whereas work ethic and job satisfaction have a positive and significant impact on employee performance. The simultaneous test results indicate that leadership style, work ethic, and job satisfaction collectively have a significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination, at 71.1%, shows that leadership style, work ethic, and job satisfaction explain 71.1% of the variation in employee performance, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. This study concludes that work ethic and job satisfaction play a crucial role in improving employee performance at the Regional Office of the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) East Java II.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of occupational safety, occupational health, and work discipline on employee performance at PT. SLI. The research method used is quantitative with saturated sampling technique, where the entire population of 70 employees is used as a sample. Data collection was carried out through questionnaires, while data analysis used multiple linear regression. The results of the study indicate that occupational safety, occupational health, and work discipline partially have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Simultaneously, the three variables also contribute positively and significantly to employee performance, with a determination coefficient value of 89.1%. This confirms that the factors of safety, health, and work discipline play a very important role in improving performance in this company engaged in the transportation and processing of B3 waste. This study is expected to provide practical contributions to human resource management at PT. SLI and become a reference for similar research in other industrial sectors.
