Abstract

Regulations on chemical castration for perpetrators of sexual violence have been stipulated in the legislation in Indonesia, Law 17 of 2016. Then followed up with Government Regulation (PP) NO 70 OF 2020 which regulates in more detail the chemical castration procedure. However, at the level of implementation, medical and bioethical perspectives, there are still pros and cons. The paradigm of the group that agrees to perform chemical castration on perpetrators, the act of chemical castration causes a decrease in sex hormone (testosterone) levels, thus helping perpetrators manage sex drive more controllable. The paradigm of the group that does not agree on the act of chemical castration, from the aspect of low levels of sex hormones, will cause discomfort or health problems in the perpetrator. On the other hand, the performing physician believes that the doctor's job is to help, not cause discomfort. Medical studies and bioethical studies of chemical castration in perpetrators of sexual violence can improve the understanding of holistic management

Abstract

This study explores the concept of relationship quality from the philosophy of science. The study focuses on the scientific paradigm that forms the foundation and core of research. Relationship quality emphasizes the importance of strong relationships in creating value for customers and maintaining their loyalty in the long term. Marketing has evolved from a product-oriented approach to a customer relationship-oriented approach, making relationship quality the key to competitive advantage. This study examines the philosophical perspective of science concerning ontology, epistemology, methodology, and axiology. The research method employed is a literature review to explore the development of research on relationship quality. Mapping previous research from 2016 to 2023 provides insights into the latest trends related to the concept of relationship quality in the domain of online marketing. The results identify information sharing, online relationship bonds, and customer experience as antecedent variables of relationship quality, while the consequence variables include the intention to co-create brand value. This study proposes a research model of relationship quality from these antecedent and consequence variables.

Abstract

Solar Power Plant (PLTS) absorbs solar energy and is adjusted to the change in circulation from 06.00 in the morning to 17.00 in the afternoon. This requires adjustment to the installation of a solar power plant so that energy capture can be optimal; this adjustment uses a sunlight capture tool called Suntracker. The main tools are in the form of movers, timers and work steps that can be dragged. Based on the testing results and discussion of the overall design of solar trackers, namely. The highest current measurement results in stationary solar cells (static) occur at 11.00 WIB, which is 0.23 A. The highest current measurement results on solar trackers also occur at 10.00 WIB, 0.25 A. The highest voltage measurement in stationary solar cells occurs at 10.00 WIB, which is 14.2 volts. Moreover, the highest voltage measurement results on the solar tracker occurred at 10.00 WIB, which is 20.3 volts.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the impact of cyberloafing and organisational commitment on the performance of employees in the Department of Housing, Settlement Areas, and Land Affairs of Kuningan District (Dinas et al.), as well as to gain an understanding of the moderating influence of self-control in the relationship between cyberloafing and organisational commitment on employee performance. This research is motivated by frequent cases where employees engage in cyberloafing, negatively affecting their performance. The method used in this research is a descriptive quantitative method, utilising a questionnaire as a data collection tool. Using the random sampling method, the research sample consists of 70 randomly selected department employees. The SPSS program is used to analyse the data in this research. The research results indicate a negative and significant influence between cyberloafing and employee performance, while organisational commitment positively influences employee performance. Additionally, the test of the interaction of self-control as a moderator in the relationship between cyberloafing and organisational commitment on employee performance shows that self-control weakens the influence of cyberloafing on employee performance. In conclusion, individuals with high levels of self-control can reduce potentially harmful negative actions.

Abstract

Bonds are one of the investment instruments with fixed income. One of the most popular bonds is government bonds, which are considered safer than corporate bonds or other investment instruments. Every financial investment instrument that provides a rate of return (return) will have risks. Choosing bonds with the smallest loss rate is one of the priorities of an investor. One of the steps that investors can take is to determine the value of Value at Risk (VaR) first to determine the maximum loss obtained when investing. This study will discuss the risks in Bank Jatim's FVTOCI portfolio by measuring the Value at Risk value of each selected bond sample and several portfolio combinations of these bonds. The bonds used as samples in this research are FR0068, FR0080, FR0096 and FR0098. The measurement of this VaR value uses the Varian-Covariance method, where the assumption of the data used is data with a normal distribution. The resulting VaR value can be used as a consideration for the company to choose bonds for its investment portfolio.

Abstract

Bureaucratic reform has been an important focus of many countries facing the complexity of public administration issues. Indonesia, as a country with a complex and prolix bureaucracy, is no exception. To simplify and improve bureaucratic efficiency, the Indonesian government, through the Ministry of State Apparatus Utilization and Bureaucratic Reform, implemented a policy of transforming structural positions into functional positions. This research aims to analyse the effectiveness of the transformation policy of structural positions to functional positions of employees within the Customs and Excise Regional Office (KWBC) Sumbagtim and its impact on improving service quality. The research method uses a qualitative approach through interviews, observation and document analysis. The type of qualitative research used is a case study, a research strategy in which researchers carefully investigate phenomena by implementing specific programs, unique events, implementing activities, or a process that occurs in a group of individuals. The data collection method used in this research refers to the results of in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis. The results showed that the structural transformation to functional positions has significantly changed the quality of KWBC Sumbagtim services. Although some employees faced difficulties adapting to the process, this policy positively impacted service efficiency, responsiveness, and accuracy.

Abstract

Increasing the production of shallots from True shallot seed (TSS) can be done using Bacillus subtilis bacteria. This study aims to determine the role of Bacillus subtilis bacteria on the growth and production of two shallot varieties (Allium ascalonicum L.) from True Sallot Seed. This research was conducted on Jl. Bandar Meriah, Sukamaju village, Sunggal sub-district, Deli Serdang district, with a height of 30 MDPL. This research was conducted from December 2022 to March 2023. This study used a randomised block design with two factors and three replications. The first factor is a variety of types: Sanren F-1 and Lokananta. The second factor was Bacillus subtilis bacteria with four levels: 0 ml/tanaman, 5 ml/plant, 10 ml/plant, and 15 ml/plant. The results showed that the Lokananta variety had plant heights of 5 and 7 MSPT, number of leaves 4-7 MSPT, chlorophyll B, total chlorophyll, fresh tuber weight per sample, fresh tuber weight per plot, dry tuber weight per sample and dry tuber weight per plot, Which is higher than the Sanren F-1 variety. Giving 15 ml of Bacillus subtilis bacteria/plant has tuber circumference, number of tubers per plot, weight of fresh tubers per plot, weight of dry tubers per sample, weight of dry tubers per plot, which is higher than giving bacteria of 0 ml/plant, 5 ml/plant and 10 ml/plant.
