Abstract

Backpacks are the main choice for students as a means of carrying school supplies and materials, but often they do not pay attention to the weight of the load they carry every day, potentially causing injuries and pain in the back. This study aims to design and implement a capacity limit measuring device on children's school bags using the ESP32 microcontroller as the control center. The tool is equipped with a 10kg load cell sensor to accurately measure the weight of the bag, as well as a keypad as a user interface to easily enter the child's weight. Safety is also considered with the addition of a buzzer as an alarm if the weight of the bag's capacity exceeds the set limit. GPS trackers are also integrated to monitor the geographical location of bags, allowing parents to monitor the movement of children and the location of bags directly through Telegram bots. With ESP32 as the brain, this tool provides a comprehensive solution to maintain the health and safety of children in carrying their school load. This tool also utilizes Telegram technology to provide direct notifications about the weight and location of children's bags to parents or other users. Telegram bots connected to this tool automatically transmit this information, providing additional convenience and security for users.

Abstract

This research aims to determine a strategy to accelerate the reduction of maternal mortality, infant mortality and stunting and to describe the acceleration of sustainable health development in Bengkulu Province. This research was designed as descriptive research with a correlational investigation and intervention study; namely, the research wanted to find significant variables related to the problem with minimum intervention. The sample in this study used a clustering technique (Cluster Random Sampling), using primary and secondary data. Primary data in this research uses a questionnaire. Meanwhile, the collected data will be tested using validity and reliability tests on research instruments. Meanwhile, to achieve the objectives of this research, data analysis will be carried out using the SWOT test. The research results found that strategies to accelerate the reduction of maternal mortality can be carried out by providing training or education to health cadres, adding skilled health workers, providing supporting facilities related to accelerated access to health services, providing education about the benefits of nutritious and balanced food to improve health. Meanwhile, the strategy to accelerate the reduction in child mortality is to assist in processing drinking water suitable for consumption, provide fast access to services with a community pick-up program, and create a health service program with early detection of diseases in pregnant women. Meanwhile, strategies to accelerate the reduction in stunting rates include providing assistance to treat stunting, providing education about nutritious and balanced food, and health service programs with early disease detection in expectant mothers. There are still many shortcomings; it is recommended that further researchers add research indicators to the variables studied and use the AHP and FGD analysis methods.

Abstract

This research is intended to find out and analyse the impact of work environment and work satisfaction on employee performance, which is mediated by work motivation. The research was done quantitatively by using the survey method with data analysis technique using SEM PLS. The questionnaire was a data collection instrument and was spread online through Google Forms. It had a sample quota of 83 respondents from millennial-generation employees from a refinery-biodiesel plant in PT. X. The independent variable in this research is work environment (X1) and Job satisfaction (X2); the dependent variable is employee performance (Y) and, with mediating variable, namely work motivation (Z). The result from this research is that work environment (X1) and work satisfaction (X2) do not affect employee performance (Y) because the t-statistic values of 1,237 and 0,068 are successively lesser than 1,96 values with a significance of 0,05. With the mediation available in the form of work motivation (Y), it can be obtained data in which work environment (X1) and work satisfaction (X2) positively affect and signification to employee performance (Y) with t-statistic values by 2,157 and 3,872 successively with the significance lesser than 0,05. Besides that, work motivation (Y) also positively affects and is significant toward employee performance with a t-statistic value of 4,490 and a significance of 0,05. Further research is expected to research other variables that are able to support employees’ increasing performance, such as organisational commitment, work-life balance, and organisational culture.

Abstract

Hate speech in Indonesian is hate speech that cannot be precisely defined. Social media, in its definition is a platform that is used freely without pay, and any binding regulations. This freedom allows individuals who are constrained by the rules to voice their opinions through social media. Hate speech can target anyone indiscriminately. Victims of hate speech not only experience defamation but also get psychological injuries that can lead to death. There must be a binding battle for individuals who express their opinions too freely on existing platforms and have no legal provisions. Cooperation between nations is needed in the suppression of hate speech.

Abstract

This study introduces the application of the Diffusion Variational Autoencoder (D-VAE), a deep learning technique, for predicting stock prices in the Indonesian stock market. With the challenges presented by market volatility and complex data distributions, D-VAE is explored for its capability to encapsulate uncertainty and model complex distributions. This study is significant as it explores the potential of D-VAE in the context of the Indonesian stock market, which has not been widely studied before. Historical stock data from Yahoo Finance was collected over one year and preprocessed for training and validation of the model. The model is trained with an architecture designed to allow tuning of the latent space, utilizing ReLU and linear activation functions for the encoder and decoder. The model's performance is evaluated using the Mean Squared Error (MSE), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), and R-squared metrics, yielding results that highlight the model's capability to enhance the accuracy of stock price predictions. By leveraging machine learning techniques in stock price prediction models, this study underscores the significant contribution such approaches can make to informed and successful investment decisions underpinned by robust data.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the pandemic on Bali's regional economic resilience and how the workcation trend brought by digital nomad tourists able to encourage tourism recovery in Bali. The research method used is descriptive-analytical, including examining documents and statements from experts that explained the response to the economic shocks that occurred in Bali Province. Data sources were obtained from tourism ministry performance reports, BPS data, news articles and accredited journals. The study revealed that the resistance phase is demonstrated by the disruption of the tourism sector when the COVID-19 pandemic broke out, causing economic Bali to decline. The reorientation phase is demonstrated by the ability of government and business actors to adjust and adapt from shocks. The workcation trend brought by digital nomads is suitable for application during the adaptation period. The recovery phase is demonstrated by the revival of tourism in Bali Province with an increase in the number of foreign tourists. One of them comes from digital nomad tourists who increase regional income. Based on analysis using the regional economic resilience model, Bali Province in 2023 will approach economically resilient status.

Abstract

Numeracy is the ability to apply number concepts and arithmetic operation skills in daily life, professional development, and the development of science and technology. Numeracy skills play an essential role in the application of number concepts and arithmetic operations in the context of everyday life. This research aims to determine the numeracy skills of class VIII-B students at SMP Negeri 1 Blangpidie in solving problems on geometry and measurement material. The data collection methods used were tests and interviews. From the research results, of the total 27 students involved, 22 students showed very high numeracy skills, reaching a percentage of 81%. Meanwhile, five other students have a high level of numeracy ability, with a percentage of 19%. The level of numeracy ability of class VIII-B students is assessed based on student indicators in solving problems on geometry and measurement material. It can concluded that the numeracy skills of class VIII-B students in solving geometry and measurement material problems have perfect numeracy scores.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how work discipline and motivation affect teachers' performance. This study used total sampling for data collection, which involved distributing questionnaires and measuring the results with a Likert scale. Work discipline and motivation are the study's independent variables, and Teacher Performance is the study's dependent variable. The outcomes of this study demonstrate that work discipline and motivation both positively and significantly affect teachers' performance. Conclusion Teacher performance is significantly impacted by work discipline. This demonstrates that teachers' performance at Bakong Pittaya School in Thailand will improve the more work discipline they possess. With the T-statistic value of 6.947, the influence of work discipline is more significant than motivation.
