Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the level of accuracy of the naïve bayes classification method in the process of determining the group type of malaria. This method is used to predict the category of malaria based on the symptoms displayed. In this study, the dataset used was divided into 60% for training and 40% for testing. The results showed that the naïve bayes algorithm had an accuracy rate of 99.8% in predicting malaria categories. Evaluation of model performance using confusion matrix and ROC curve also showed good results, with classification accuracy of 0.998, error 0.002, and AUC 0.999. The results of the classification report show that the Quartana, Tertiana, and Tropica categories are more dominant than the Ovale category, based on precision, recall, and f1-score. These results show that the naïve bayes classification method is effective in classifying types of malaria and can be used as an aid in the diagnosis of malaria.

Abstract

Turnover is an activity that harms company operations. Turnover is related to job satisfaction, which is influenced by the level of workload balance. Based on this relationship, the company must formulate a strategy for the factors influencing these three aspects. Previous research has explored influencing factors regarding turnover, job satisfaction, workload, a combination of two variables, or involving all three variables. Previous research has involved these three variables, but the recommendations from previous research still need to be more optimal (turnover still occurs). Therefore, researchers need to analyze gaps and trends from previous research. This will help future research to develop more optimal strategies. Gap and trend analysis in this study used a systematic literature review (SLR) with the PRISMA reporting method. Search results through the SCOPUS database produced seventeen articles. The results of the SLR analysis show that most research was conducted in Africa, oriented to the health sector, and used qualitative methods.

Abstract

Media is an intermediary that can be used to convey information or messages in learning to achieve learning outcomes. Many types of media are used in the learning process. One of the media used in learning is games as educational media, called educational games. Educational games are games that are formed to hone thinking power, including increasing concentration and solving a problem. Educational stories based on local wisdom also serve to strengthen character education so that they can be well received without reducing the playing experience gained by players. Through the results of game testing, 40% of respondents strongly agreed that the understanding of conserving animals, especially elephants in Way Kambas Lampung National Park, was sought to be raised through the Elephant in Rescue Game, and 24% agreed that the understanding of conserving animals, especially elephants in Way Kambas Lampung National Park, was sought to be raised through the Elephant in Rescue Game. 60% of respondents agreed with the educational element presented in the game Elephant in Rescue, and 56% of respondents agreed that the application of the story in this game was appropriate. Based on the results of testing on respondents, it can be concluded that the application of stories and education about the importance of preserving animals, especially elephants in Way Kambas National Park, Lampung, can be conveyed well in accordance with what has been designed before.

Abstract

This research takes an innovative step in the fight against Tuberculosis (TB), one of Indonesia's prominent public health challenges, by developing and evaluating Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) and Extreme Learning Machine (ELM) models in machine learning for early detection of TB using clinical data. The main result of this study was the discovery that the MLP model, when applied without the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE), achieved an impressive accuracy of 95.00%, signaling significant progress in TB early detection efforts. This discovery not only highlights the great potential of applying machine learning technology in improving the accuracy of TB diagnosis but also paves the way for the possible application of advanced technology in the health sector to deal with infectious diseases. This research illustrates how machine learning technology can be integrated into clinical practice to effectively detect TB cases at an early stage, thus enabling faster and more precise treatment, which can ultimately reduce the spread of the disease. This is particularly important given TB's significant impact on public health, especially in developing countries. The results also open up opportunities for further research into the application of machine learning techniques to other infectious diseases, promising a paradigm shift in the way we detect and manage various health conditions.

Abstract

Multiple pregnancies have a 2-3 times greater risk of developing preeclampsia and have a significant long-term effect on both mothers and babies. The underlying cause of preeclampsia in women with multiple pregnancies is higher demand on the cardiovascular system, increased exposure of the chorionic villi, increased antiangiogenic substances compared to angiogenic substances and placental hypoperfusion. The condition of preeclampsia can worsen quickly, and without warning signs, it must be detected and managed appropriately; if the treatment is late, this condition can lead to eclampsia. The patient was referred with severe preeclampsia and multiple pregnancies with complaints of irregular contraction (+), a history of dizziness (-), nausea (-), vomiting (-), blurred vision (-), and breathlessness (-). Physical examination showed Blood pressure 188/125 mmHg with laboratory findings of proteinuria +3. Cesarean section and IUD insertion were performed. During and after surgery, there were no complications.

Abstract

Studying English is something that is mandatory in many countries including Indonesia since English is one of the most generally spoken languages in the world today. However, mastering English is not easy especially for Speaking. This study focuses on seeing the effect of the Jigsaw on speaking ability since it reflects the performance of the students in order to provide provisions to face a real-world circumstance. This study aims to offer valuable insights for future researchers and teachers focusing on enhancing speaking skills or conducting research utilizing the Cooperative Learning-Jigsaw Model. This study used the Pre-experimental design, so the sample that was used was only one class. The use of Jigsaw influences students' involvement in speaking and increases their communication skills as indicated by significant differences in the pre-test and post-test scores tested using SPSS 23.  In the result of pre-test, there only one student managed to reach “very good” category and no student was able to reach the "excellent" categories. In contrast to the results of the post-test, there were 11 students who succeeded in achieving the "good" category, 9 students achieved the "very good" category and 1 student succeeded in achieving the "excellent" category which shows a significant improvement. Based on the results of hypothesis testing using the Paired T-Test, the Sig was known, namely 0.000 < α (0.005), which means the Null Hypothesis was rejected and the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. Therefore, the Jigsaw model was effective in enhancing students’ speaking ability.
