Abstract

Construction projects inherently involve risks. If proper risk management practices are not employed, the likelihood of cost overruns can reach more than 80%. Risk monitoring and control are essential processes in risk management; however, their implementation is inadequate in construction projects. This research analyzed the main barriers and drivers for implementing risk monitoring and control in construction projects. A questionnaire survey was conducted using a Likert scale to measure respondents' perceptions. Data were collected from 71 respondents: top management, project managers, project risk managers, and risk officers. This study employs descriptive analysis and factor analysis to achieve the objectives. The results indicate that the 19 identified barriers to risk monitoring and control were categorized into 4 main factors: lack of practice, lack of risk awareness, lack of incentives and having difficulty finding methods, and misperceptions about risk monitoring and control. Meanwhile, the 21 drivers were categorized into 5 main factors: management support, tools and information technology, organizational structure and communication, external environment, assigning responsibility, and contingency reserve.

Abstract

Terrorism is one of the global threats that can affect Indonesia's social, political, and economic stability. Currently, terrorism has been categorized as an extraordinary crime that requires extraordinary efforts from various parties to counter it. This research examines and describes the collaboration process built into countering terrorism in Indonesia. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with six informants as research subjects. The results show that implementing collaborative governance to counter-terrorism in Indonesia has been running well and involves many parties. However, in the context of the stages of the implementation of collaboration, there are still obstacles. The motivational factor of the parties involved in counterterrorism is enough to influence the imbalance of resources and knowledge among collaborative actors. Different perceptions in addressing the issue of terrorism have caused the starting conditions in the implementation of collaboration not to work properly. This affects the commitment between collaboration actors and the consistency in running various terrorism prevention programs. In addition, the lack of strong regulations governing BNPT's role as coordinator in terrorism prevention causes obstacles in the synergy process. Collaboration has been implemented in terms of quantity, but in terms of quality, there are still things that are not optimal.

Abstract

Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) states that the earthquakes that have occurred in the territory of Indonesia during 2018 were 11,418. Nearly 95 percent of earthquakes occur in fault areas and plate boundaries. In West Java, especially in the Bandung area there is a fault structure called the Lembang Fault which is mostly occupied by community settlements. The Lembang Fault is an active fault, therefore it is necessary to conduct research related to monitoring the Lembang Fault for disaster mitigation purposes. One of parameter to determine the level of activity of a fault is deformation. The amount of deformation can be analyzed through the remote sensing methods, one of them is the Persistent Scatterer Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (PS-InSAR) method. In this study the main data used is Sentinel-1A image data consist of eight scenes with acquisition time from January 2018 to March 2019. The results of the study concluded that the average deformation that occurred along the Lembang Fault was 2,485 mm with a graph that tends to rise. The area most affected by deformation is Cisarua Subdistrict with Line-of-Sight velocity of deformation of 28.4 - 48.9 mm / year. While the smallest deformation occurred in Lembang District with Line-of-Sight velocity of deformation of -2.3 - 19.2 mm / year.

Abstract

In an era of rapid growth in information technology, the enormous benefits generated are also accompanied by significant security risks. This research was conducted by an independent security researcher, Isma Elan Maulani, to identify and analyze security vulnerabilities on the Cirebon District Health Service website. The focus of the research centered on the "Search" page, where the main finding was the presence of a Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability. XSS opens up the potential for attackers to insert and execute JavaScript scripts within web pages, threatening the security and integrity of data. Tests involving custom input successfully proved that JavaScript scripts could be executed without any sanitization or protection. These findings show the urgency to improve the security of the Cirebon District Health Service website. Recommended remedial steps involve implementing effective input sanitation, more rigorous validation of user input data, and implementing stricter security policies. Collaboration with authorities and cybersecurity researchers is recommended to gain additional insights and more comprehensive solutions. Digital security is not only the responsibility of developers, but also a collective obligation to create a safer and more secure online environment for all users.

Abstract

In Indonesia, the issue of land distribution is an important issue related to social justice and the legal system. The large number of agrarian conflicts and inequality of access to land shows the need for legal transformation to achieve the ideals of the rule of law (nomocracy) and transparency in land distribution. The purpose of this study is to analyze the legal transformation needed to realize the ideal of the rule of law (nomocracy) and transparency in the field of land distribution, focusing on efforts to ensure fairness in the land distribution system in Indonesia. This research uses Empirical methods. The research data was collected from literature published in reputable scientific journals. Literature is collected through searches in electronic literature databases, such as Google Schoolar and Scopus. The data that has been collected is then analyzed in three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results show that the transformation of law in Indonesia towards nomocracy and transparency in land distribution aims to strengthen legal foundations, ensure justice, and reduce inequality of land access. The principle of nomocracy places law as the primary guide in decision-making, while transparency reduces the potential for corruption and land-related conflicts. Land law reform and land redistribution policies are crucial steps in achieving this goal. More open access to public information in the area of land distribution allows for greater public participation in decision-making processes. By strengthening transparency and the application of nomocracy principles, Indonesia can strengthen the foundation of its rule of law and ensure sustainability in land resource management.

Abstract

Education is very important for the intelligence of the nation. The education of the nation's children is referred to as one of the factors that can lead to success or setbacks for the country's future. Education in Indonesia is still not perfect, and it is not perfect to say that it has achieved progress in character education; as evidence, this time, there are still many students who have lost their sense of nationality, honesty, courtesy, and sense of responsibility. So, for that, character education absolutely must be revitalized again. This quantitative study aims to determine the effect of the differences in implementing the Montessori and Classical learning methods on strengthening character education in early childhood using flash cards. The design used in this research is in the form of a comparative quantitative approach. Questionnaires were distributed to 12 teachers from each school, with 6 teachers as respondents. The data obtained from the questionnaire distribution is then analyzed using a Likert scale, and the results of student learning scores are analyzed using an independent t-test. The research results show that the teacher's perception of implementing the Montessori Method and the Classical Learning Method towards strengthening character education using flash cards has a very effective category with an achievement of 82% for learning the Montessori Method. While the effective category with an achievement of 73% for the Classical Learning Method. Based on the Independent t-test, the value of the difference in character education shows the effect of the difference, namely 0.20. The effect of this difference is statistically categorized as not real, or there is no difference in the effect of the implementation of the Montessori Method and the Classical Learning Method on strengthening early childhood character education. The Montessori and Classical Learning Method can be good for early childhood character education.
