Abstract

A combustion motor is a machine that converts from chemical energy to motion energy, where in the working system of a combustion motor produces power or engine rotation which is produced from the process of combustion in the combustion chamber (cylinder). In addition to producing power and rotation, it also produces heat (thermal) as a result of the combustion process. Excessive heat generated by the combustion process can also cause problems if not overcome properly, can cause overheating. Therefore, a good cooling system such as radiator coolant is needed, in the fluid cooling system there is viscositic (viscosity of the substance) which can affect the absorption of heat. The following are the test results at temperatures of 27.8oC (0.35dpa.s), 70oC (0.275dpa.s), 90oC (0.25dpa.s). If the viscosity value is low, then in the flow rate the faster the heat absorption and heat transfer will be more effective, while if the viscosity value is high, then in the flow rate the slower the heat absorption and heat transfer process becomes ineffective.

Abstract

The Mangosteen fruit (garcinia mangostana L.) nicknamed the queen of fruit is one of Indonesia's superior fruits. Mangosteen fruit consists of components in the form of seeds, fruit, pulp, and fruit skin. This research aims to design a horizontal-type mangosteen peel-blowing machine.  This mangosteen rind flouring machine is designed in a horizontal shape which aims to flour the dried mangosteen rind. The design process uses the Solid Work application and then the manufacturing process. Machines that have been manufactured are subjected to testing. The flouring process uses a separating cylinder and a crushing knife. Dried mangosteen skin that is put into the hopper will enter the cylinder and be crushed by a rotating blade and produce flour. The flour will come out through the output door. This machine floured the skin of the mangosteen fruit according to the initial design objectives. This research succeeded in removing the dried mangosteen peel.

Abstract

Urugan-type dams are the most common type of dam to work on in Indonesia, with a material composition that is easy to obtain and relatively more economical. Based on the results of slope stability, a sensitivity analysis will be carried out based on changes in slope slope to post-construction conditions, during reservoir operation water level and rapid drawdown conditions. In this study, we will analyze the changes in the value of safety factors that occur on the slope of the body of the Jragung Dam due to rapid drawdown events and seismicities (OBE and MDE) using the help of seepage analysis calculation software and slope stability. There are three models used, namely Model 1 using geometry according to DED (slope of upstream slope 1: 3.0 and slope of downstream slope 1: 2.5), Model 2 of using modification of field construction geometry (slope of upstream slope 1: 2.5 and slope of downstream slope 1: 2.5), Model 3 of using modification of field construction geometry (slope of upstream slope 1: 2.5 and slope of downstream slope 1: 2,25). From the three models, the initial stage will be processed to find the phreatic line on the dam body when drawdown and the next stage to find the value of the dam slope safety factor. After the overall analysis was carried out both in terms of seepage analysis and stability analysis of the three simulation models, for the construction in the field on the Jragung dam, the 3rd Model can be used, namely the proposed geometric modification with an upstream slope of 1: 2.5 and a downstream slope of 1: 2.25, and material parameters according to the availability specifications at the work site. Regarding the stability of the slope, it is noted that at the time of the MDE earthquake load of 10,000 years, when the rapid-drawdown conditions y/h = 0.5h and y/h = 0.75h there is a possibility that the Jragung dam will be damaged, but not collapsed.

Abstract

The Indonesian state has Civil Servants who have functions as public servants, glue and unify the nation as well as policy implementers as state civil servants. But there are also employees from government agencies who are lazy at work and arrive late, this is an act that is not only detrimental to yourself, but can also harm others and the organization where you work. Violations of work discipline often create discomfort in the work environment, interfere with productivity, and damage relationships between colleagues. For example, what happened in Batam City was that two civil servants who skipped work were dismissed for violating the code of ethics. Therefore, this study aims to analyze and provide recommendations for efforts to improve the application of civil servant discipline, especially at the Batam City Education Office. This research was obtained through in-depth interviews with the Head of the Batam City Education Office and civil servant staff as well as analyzing with documents related to civil servant discipline regulations, journals, research results and books. Based on the results of the study, the application of civil servant discipline at the Batam City Education Office is still not optimal. Things that have not been optimal in the social field related to human relations on the productivity of civil servants, the psychological field is the awareness and willingness of individuals to contribute positively in their work environment, while the related juridical field has not been optimal in implementing legal certainty in implementing civil servant discipline due to the lack of firmness from the Head of the Batam City Education Office in cracking down on civil servants who are not disciplined at work. Thus, it is recommended to consider these socio-psycho-juridical factors, so that the application of civil servant discipline at the Batam City Education Office can be carried out effectively and efficiently, and can improve the performance and productivity of civil servants within the Batam City Education Office.

Abstract

This research aims to explain community empowerment through the development of MSMEs in the Resilient Family Program managed by Dompet Dhuafa in Seberang Ulu II District, Palembang City. This study uses a qualitative method to examine the process and results of empowerment that occurs. The results of the study show that the collection of ZIS funds by Dompet Dhuafa South Sumatra has increased significantly every year over the past three years, from Rp. 3,578,217,860 in 2018, increased to Rp. 4,543,689,070 in 2019, and reached Rp. 6,278,525,186 in 2020. This increase reflects the increase in the number of underprivileged people receiving assistance, as well as efforts to better distribute the economy. Community empowerment through MSME development in this program includes three stages: awareness stage, capacity stage, and empowerment stage. The awareness stage faces the challenge of low public awareness of the importance of innovation in entrepreneurship. The capacity building stage provides entrepreneurial skills to business actors affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, improving their abilities in physical, social, and economic aspects. The empowerment stage makes independent business actors with the ability to manage their resources. Dompet Dhuafa conducts feasibility studies, determines the type of business, conducts guidance, and evaluations to ensure that the Tangguh Family Program is on target.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the potential implementation of the ISO 50001 Energy Management System (EnMS) at PT XYZ to achieve the decarbonization target. The focus is on strategic and technical planning, involving the analysis of internal and external issues to develop energy policies as well as the formation of energy teams. Technical planning includes energy performance reviews, energy consumption analysis, Significant Energy Users (SEUs), Energy Performance Indicators (EnPI), and operation control plans. The results of the 2022 review show that energy consumption is 947.8 thousand GJ with the main SEU in the Hauling and Mining systems, as well as Hauler and Excavator tools that consume more than 80% of Biosolar B30. EnPI level 1 shows an average energy intensity of 0.08 GJ per WMT, while EnPI level 2 results in a regression of Y=2.113X + 264924 with a determination of 0.892, making 2022 a baseline. The implementation of ISO 50001 has the potential to improve energy efficiency and reduce GHG emissions by up to 30% by 2030, with a target of saving 9.7 million liters of Biodiesel B30. The PDCA approach helps companies achieve targets by focusing on SEU systems and tools.

Abstract

The legal consequences of the adoption event are regarding the status of the adopted child as the heir of his adoptive parents, such a status often causes problems in the family. The issues that often arise in the event of a lawsuit are usually related to the legality of the adoption of the child, as well as the position of the adopted child as the heir of his adoptive parents. Adopted children also have the right to guarantee the protection of their rights so that they can live their lives, participate optimally, and get protection from violence and/or different treatments. As for the reality, sometimes adopted children are still considered not part of the family and in the end, the rights of adopted children are ignored. This does not rule out the possibility of problems such as in terms of the distribution of inheritance, because it considers that the adopted child is not the heir of the parent who adopted him. In this study, the author also used Decision Study Number: 113/K/Pdt/2019. The theories used in the research are the theory of legal certainty, the theory of legal justice and the theory of legal protection. The research method used by the author is a normative research method. SW is not entitled to LTJ's inheritance because of his position as only a foster child based on the Deed of Child Handover Number 2. Foster children in terms of inheritance are not entitled to inheritance because their position is different from the position of the adopted child. A foster child is considered a third person who is not included in the class of heirs who are entitled to inheritance according to the law. An adopted child can get property from his adoptive parents through a will. The amount of this will is determined not to exceed 1/3 of the inheritance.
