Abstract

The creation of this article is a collaboration between lecturers and students in carrying out the teaching and learning process at the Global Glow Indonesia College (STTGGI) Jakarta. Lecturers are in Jakarta, while students live in the USA. This article discusses the relevance and application of Christian apologetics in contemporary contexts, focusing on the presuppositional approach taken by John M. Frame. Apologetics, as a discipline that defends and justifies the Christian faith, is often confronted with modern intellectual and cultural challenges. Frame offers a unique framework, one that rejects autonomous neutrality and instead asserts the supremacy of divine revelation as the basis for all knowledge. The presuppositional approach argues that a person's basic assumptions, or "presuppositions," fundamentally shape how they understand and evaluate truth claims. For Frame, God's revealed truth in the Bible is a key presupposition that must be recognized before any rational discussion can proceed meaningfully. This article will explore how Frame's views provide a solid foundation for responding to criticism of the Christian faith, including questions about the existence of God, evil, science, and morality. By highlighting the limitations of autonomous rationalism and the need for a transcendent starting point, Frame invites apologists not only to defend the faith, but also to show that the Christian worldview is the only coherent framework that can adequately explain reality. This study uses a qualitative method, analyzing Frame's key works and their application in current apologetic discourse, to identify practical implications for churches and individuals in the face of contemporary challenges to Christian belief. This article aims to present a comprehensive understanding of Framean apologetics as a vital tool for the vindication of the Christian faith in the 21st century, emphasizing the need for dependence on God and His revelation as the foundation for all intellectual endeavors.

Abstract

Stroke is the leading cause of death globally, including in Indonesia, with two main types, namely infarctive stroke and hemorrhagic stroke. This research aims to determine the risk factors for stroke, infarction, and hemorrhagic patients who die at Bayu Asih Purwakarta Hospital. This research was an observational analytical study with a cross-sectional retrospective design using medical record data of stroke patients who died during the period January–December 2024. Data were analyzed univariately using Microsoft Excel and SPSS v30.1. Results: Of the 227 stroke patients who died, 117 (51.5%) had infarctive stroke and 110 (48.5%) had hemorrhagic stroke. The age of >66 years dominates infarction deaths, while the age of 46–55 years is most commonly found in hemorrhagic strokes. Women die more from both types of stroke. Stage 2 hypertension dominates infarctive stroke, while hypertension crisis is most common in hemorrhagic stroke. The majority of heart attack patients have a history of diabetes mellitus, while hemorrhagic strokes are more common without a history of DM. NIHSS scores indicate that most patients have very severe neurological deficits. Conclusion: Most of the deaths due to stroke at Bayu Asih Purwakarta Hospital most occur in elderly patients, especially in infarct stroke cases. While hemorrhagic strokes are more common at younger ages with very high blood pressure and higher NIHSS scores. The female gender also shows a higher mortality trend, in line with national findings. These factors can be used to prioritize early management and secondary prevention of stroke, especially in high-risk groups.

Abstract

Malang City, which is directed as a National Activity Center (NAC) as well as a center for education and trade and services, certainly faces major challenges in transportation management due to significant population, student and tourist growth. With a population of 847,182 people in 2023 and the dominance of private vehicle use, the city is ranked as the fourth most congested city in Indonesia based on the Global Traffic Scorecard in 2021. This article aims to provide recommendations for improving public transportation in Malang City using the Four-Step Model approach, which consists of trip generation, trip distribution, mode choice, and trip assignment stages. Each stage of the model is used to identify movement patterns, transportation mode preferences, and optimal travel routes. The data used is secondary data obtained from the Malang City Transportation System Planning Report (Itenas , 2020). The results show that Lowokwaru, Klojen, and Sukun sub-districts have the highest movement rates. The dominant educational, trade and service and residential activities in these areas generate a lot of movement to and from other sub-districts. In addition, mode choice analysis shows that the use of modes is dominated by private vehicles at 96% while public transportation is only 4%. Recommendations based on these findings include the expansion of public transport routes, fleet modernization, restrictions on private vehicles, and the development of electronic payment systems. The findings are expected to serve as a foundation for integrated and sustainable transportation planning for Malang City.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of Agricultural Technology Innovation Field School (SLPITP) activities in Klirong District, Kebumen Regency, focusing on post-harvest and harvest management training for farmers. The study addresses the need to improve farmers' knowledge and skills in implementing agricultural technology innovations to increase productivity and reduce post-harvest losses. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method using in-depth interviews, observations, and focus group discussions with 21 informants consisting of farmer group leaders, agricultural extension workers, village officials, and government staff from district and provincial agricultural offices. Data collection was conducted from November 2024 to March 2025 through purposive sampling technique. The results indicate that the SLPITP program successfully provided farmers with practical knowledge in six key areas: technology innovation socialization, power thresher operation, harvest loss calculation, special rice cultivation, vacuum packaging techniques, and follow-up action planning. The program involved 50 farmers from 10 farmer groups across three villages and provided essential equipment including power threshers, tarpaulins, moisture measuring tools, and vacuum packaging machines. Key challenges identified include limited initial farmer knowledge, low learning interest, capital constraints for post-harvest equipment, and the "ijon" purchasing system that discourages quality improvements. Despite these obstacles, the program achieved positive outcomes through hands-on learning approaches and provision of practical tools. The implications of this study suggest that field school programs effectively enhance farmer capabilities when supported by appropriate infrastructure and continuous follow-up activities. Future research should focus on long-term impact assessment and scaling strategies for broader implementation across different agricultural contexts.

Abstract

Transfer pricing is a strategy employed by companies to shift tax burdens, particularly among entities with special relationships. Although legally permissible when conducted in accordance with the arm’s length principle and business norms, this practice is often misused as a means of tax avoidance, potentially reducing state revenue. This study aims to examine the effect of profitability, tunneling incentive, good corporate governance, and intangible assets on transfer pricing in basic materials sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period 2021–2023. This research utilizes secondary data obtained from the annual reports of 113 companies, with purposive sampling applied to select 82 companies as the research sample. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 27. The results reveal that profitability and tunneling incentive have a significant negative effect on transfer pricing, while good corporate governance has a significant positive effect. In contrast, intangible assets show no significant effect on transfer pricing. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening corporate governance and monitoring transfer pricing practices to prevent misuse that could harm state revenue.

Abstract

Medical Check-Up (MCU) is one of the methods of early detection of metabolic and cardiovascular disorders. Computational analysis of MCU results data can be used to group individuals based on their risk profiles, thereby supporting more targeted promotive and preventive strategies. This study aims to identify the segmentation of individual groups based on the clinical parameters of MCU results using the K-Means clustering method, as well as evaluate the potential of each cluster as a target for health interventions, especially in the context of positioning preventive products or services. This study used secondary data on MCU results which included 13 variables: age, systolic and diastolic blood pressure, body mass index (BMI), total cholesterol, fasting blood sugar, HDL, LDL, triglycerides, urea, creatinine, uric acid, and gender from 294 sample data. The data was analyzed using the K-Means algorithm to group individuals based on the similarity of their health profiles. Cluster validation is carried out through clinical interpretation and the characteristics of each cluster center. From the results of the analysis, five clusters with different characteristics were produced. One of the prominent clusters is Cluster 2, consisting of middle-aged men (average 44 years old) with high levels of total cholesterol, LDL, and triglycerides, but blood pressure and blood sugar are still within normal limits. This condition indicates a moderate metabolic risk that is still reversible. This cluster is seen as strategic to be used as a target for the development of preventive health-based digital products and services. MCU outcome-based segmentation through the K-Means clustering method is effective in identifying specific health risk groups. Cluster 2 has great potential as the main target of preventive intervention programs because of its medical profile that can still be improved and psychographic characteristics that support acceptance of digital and promotional approaches
