Abstract

Menarche is a crucial phase in the lives of adolescent girls that often triggers anxiety due to a lack of information and environmental support. Family support, especially from parents, plays a crucial role in helping adolescents adapt to this biological change. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support and anxiety levels in seventh-grade female adolescents at SMP Negeri 9 Purwakarta. The research method used was descriptive correlational with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 70 female students selected using a total sampling technique. The research instruments were a family support questionnaire and the Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HARS). The results of the analysis using the Spearman Rank test showed a significant negative relationship between family support and anxiety (p < 0.05; r = -0.62). The higher the family support, the lower the level of anxiety in adolescent girls facing menarche.

Abstract

Sexual violence against children is an extraordinary crime. Sexual violence against children is a serious violation of human rights and social justice. Although it has been regulated in various laws and regulations, such as Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection and its amendment through Law Number 17 of 2016, the practice of law enforcement against perpetrators of sexual crimes against children still leaves many problems, especially in terms of psychological protection and legal certainty for victims. Based on data from the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection (Kemenpppa), throughout 2024, there were more than 11,771. This shows the urgency of more humane and victim-friendly handling. This article uses a normative approach to reflect on the extent to which the legal system in Indonesia is able to provide protection and justice for child victims of sexual violence. The main focus is directed at the analysis of applicable regulations, legal implementation, and structural challenges faced in realizing the principle of "the best interests of the child." Through this reflection, it is hoped that a collective awareness will emerge of the importance of building a legal system that is not only repressive towards perpetrators, but also restorative for victims—especially those who are most vulnerable: children.

Abstract

An inferiority complex is a psychological condition experienced when an individual feels inferior, helpless, and views themselves as a failure despite having adequate abilities. This condition is often experienced by students or individuals during emerging adulthood, where individuals are in a transitional phase characterized by personal, academic, and social demands. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of applying counseling with a cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) approach in overcoming an inferiority complex. The research approach used was an experiment with a single-case experimental design method. The subjects in this study were DA, a third-semester student at the Faculty of Psychology, University X, who experienced inferiority complex problems based on assessments conducted using interviews, intelligence tests, and perfectionism scales. The results showed a significant decrease in the symptoms of inferiority complex experienced by the subjects. The subjects began to be able to recognize and challenge their irrational thoughts, showed increased self-confidence, and were more adaptive in dealing with failure and academic pressure. These findings confirm that counseling with a cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) approach can be declared effective as a psychological intervention approach in overcoming inferiority complex in students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze in depth the effectiveness of the rice import policy, examine the shortcomings and obstacles in its implementation, and make relevant policy recommendations to achieve food sovereignty and positively impact farmer welfare. The results of the study indicate that the governance of imported rice distribution in Garut Regency still encounters obstacles ranging from infrastructure, misappropriation, and operational issues. However, relevant stakeholders in Garut Regency have made efforts by collaborating in monitoring and improvement. In addition, the import policy does not specifically impact the productivity of local farmers because the amount of rice production in Garut Regency is always a surplus, but if it is done continuously, imported rice can affect market stability. In addition, the phenomenon of imported rice is exploited by middlemen to suppress prices for farmers, resulting in a decrease in farmer motivation and a reduction in the number of farmers in Garut. Import policies can hinder food sovereignty because the government only focuses on fulfilling stocks rather than on the production process. Therefore, an evaluation of import policies is needed to achieve food sovereignty.

Abstract

In increasingly fierce business competition, profit growth is a key indicator of company performance, influenced by various financial factors. This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of Current Ratio (CR), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and Return on Asset (ROA) on profit growth at PT Industri Jamu Dan Pharmacy Sido Muncul Tbk for the 2013–2024 PERIOD. The research method used is a quantitative approach, with secondary data obtained from the company’s financial statements. The study results indicate that the significance value of the Current Ratio is 0.817 > 0.05, and the calculated t-value is less than the t-table value (0.240 < 1.859), leading to the conclusion that the Current Ratio partially has no significant effect on Profit Growth. The Debt to Equity Ratio also shows no significant partial effect on Profit Growth, with a significance value of 0.790 > 0.05 and a calculated t-value less than the t-table (0.275 < 1.859). In contrast, the Return on Asset reveals a significance value of 0.040 < 0.05 and a calculated t-value greater than the t-table (2.445 > 1.859), indicating that Return on Asset partially has a positive and significant effect on Profit Growth. Furthermore, the combined values of Current Ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio, and Return on Asset yield a significance value of 0.037 < 0.05 and an F-calculated value greater than the F-table (4.610 > 4.07). This demonstrates that, simultaneously, these three variables have a positive and significant effect on Profit Growth.

Abstract

Contemporary leadership faces unprecedented challenges in managing increasingly diverse and interconnected global societies, particularly in addressing communication barriers across cultural, religious, and ethnic divides. The rise of social polarization, intercultural conflicts, and the failure of traditional hierarchical leadership models necessitate the exploration of alternative approaches that can effectively bridge differences while promoting inclusive participation. This research examines the egalitarian communication model in the leadership of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and its relevance as a transformative model for a multicultural society in the 21st century. Using qualitative methodology with a historical-philosophical approach through literature study, this research analyzes the communication principles practiced by Prophet Muhammad in building an inclusive and egalitarian society. The findings reveal that Prophet Muhammad's communication model is characterized by equality, inclusivity, active listening, empathetic dialogue, and respect for diversity. These principles remain highly relevant as a foundation for effective communication in today’s multicultural society. This research contributes to Islamic communication studies and offers practical solutions for leadership challenges in the contemporary era.

Abstract

This study examines the increasing importance of bankruptcy prediction models in the Indonesian banking sector, particularly following recent financial challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and evolving regulatory frameworks. This study aims to analyze and predict the potential bankruptcy of a company using two financial analysis methods, namely the Springate method and the Altman Z-Score model. These two methods are used to evaluate the financial health of a company based on significant financial ratios. The Springate method consists of four main ratios that focus on liquidity, profitability, efficiency, and solvency, while the Altman Z-Score uses five ratios covering aspects of liquidity, profitability, leverage, and operational activities to measure bankruptcy risk. The data used in this study are the financial statements of selected companies during a certain period. The results show the accuracy of both methods in predicting corporate bankruptcy, as well as identifying differences in predictions produced by each method. This study provides important insights for company management, investors, and related parties in making decisions based on the identified financial conditions. In addition, it evaluates the strengths and limitations of both methods in the context of bankruptcy analysis across different industries. Thus, this study is expected to contribute to improving financial risk management in companies.

Abstract

In the digital era, presentation platforms such as Prezi, Canva, and PowerPoint have become fundamental instruments in professional and educational communication. However, their utilization is often confined to functional aspects, lacking a profound understanding of how each platform uniquely shapes and communicates meaning. This paper, written from an interdisciplinary perspective of linguistics (semiotics) and management, aims to comparatively analyze the semiotic affordances of these three platforms and explore their managerial implications for strategic communication decision-making. Employing a framework of social semiotics and multimodality , we dissect how each platform facilitates meaning construction through visual, textual, spatial, gestural, and auditory semiotic modes. The analysis reveals fundamental differences: Prezi excels in spatial and gestural semiotics, making it ideal for non-linear narratives and concept mapping. Canva stands out in visual and textual semiotics, facilitating the creation of aesthetic and communicative multimodal texts. Meanwhile, PowerPoint, with its linear structure, offers flexibility in audio integration and the delivery of structured information. From a management standpoint, this understanding is crucial. The choice of a platform is not merely a technical selection but a strategic decision that impacts persuasion, audience engagement, and message clarity. This analysis asserts that an awareness of the semiotic potential of a digital tool empowers educators, managers, and professionals to select the most appropriate instrument for their communication goals, thereby enhancing the processes of learning and meaning construction in the digital age
